I absolutely love "Last of the Summer Wine"!! I have all of the DVD`s of this show. My dream is to someday soon to go to Holmfirth and walk the streets where Cleggy, Compo and Foggy walked. I loved all of the characters in this show. So sad that it is over🥲Thank you Neil for taking us down memory lane once again. So appreciated!!
Out of all of the Christmas videos I have seen in the EU, England, Scotland & Japan, THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST. This is how Christmas should look with all of the mom & pop stores, sensible & not over the top lights & decorations & a real feel of the Holiday Season. Thank you so much for the video & for sharing. MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS.
I used to watch the last of the summer wine and the actors and actress were fantastic and I enjoyed every minute of the series right up until they stop filming and may they rest in peace now hope you enjoy your pint
We love Holmfirth with all the variety of shops and cafes like the Wrinkled Stocking- that you showed the back door to. In the square where you finished the video are some lovely little shops and pubs
Another top video from somewhere I knew well. I worked at Brook Dyeing at Bottoms Mill a mile up the road on the way to Holme Moss for 30 years from 1969 to 1999 before transferring to another branch on Huddersfield. I used to shop at the Co-op and get the makings of my lunch in Holmfirth during the time Summer Wine was really popular, despite the hype many local shops weren’t fans of the many visitors who I was told didn’t actually spend much money when visiting. My own experiences were of driving back to work at lunchtime and being blocked on Hollowgate by tourist’s stood in the middle of the road on the bridge gauping at Nora Batty’s house. My middle son was a county gymnast and we did a fund raiser, he was amazed to have one person who pledged a pound named N Batty, sadly it was Norman, a workmate, not Nora. A place you didn’t mention was the old Bamforths naughty postcards building, they were also a motion picture first and could have been the Hollywood of Britain. I’ve not visited to walk round for twenty odd years but from your video so much has changed. I have a set of Bamforth photographs of the devastating flood of 1944 inherited from my father in law.
In all my years living here I'd never heard of that flood. You may want to share your photos with the examiner maybe, a quick google of "bamforth flood 1944" brings up many photos of holmfirth destroyed! Thanks for the little tidbit hope to see your pictures one day.
Yet another great walk,Holmfirth is such a beautiful charming little town, full of history and character, we only live 7 miles away from Holmfirth and enjoy our times there, as always thanks for sharing and a happy Christmas to you and your family 🎄♥️👍
Viewing from Georgian Bay Ontario 🇨🇦 Spectacular Tour 🙌 Thank You 👏 My first impression, is Huge Respect to the founding architects and engineers ! It is very compelling to see how the architects and engineers have utilised local resources ~ I noticed a building constructed of slate or sandstone slates ! That was very impressive ! I really enjoyed the format of your videos 👏 Very Well Done 🌟 We live within a Boreal Forest on the shores of Lake Huron, Georgian Bay Ontario 🇨🇦 This Villages meticulously constructed buildings and infrastructure are very impressive 🤩 A world apart from where we live within our Boreal Forest ! Thanks Again, for your lovely tour 🥰
One day I will realize my dream of going to Holmfirth and visiting the places where Compo, Cleggy and Foggy had their misadventures - thanks for this little preview
You're welcome anytime. There's a lot of sneakily nice places that may not be as busy next door up and around. Give yourself a bit extra time and maybe look into coming during a Folk Festival .
The water is apparently that colour because after it rains, iron oxide deposits are flushed down from an abandoned mine at Jackson Bridge. Info found online. Loved watching Last of the Summer Wine, thanks for this post.
Abandoned mine... Sounds worth exploring! (Legally if at all possible) Its definitely mineral deposit. Can happen anytime of the year but it doesn't stay this way.
Born in Huddersfield and lived in Honley just down the road from here. The outer villages always make an effort at Christmas with lights and decorations.Miss it for this reason. Here in North Wales border country you wouldn't even realise we're a few days away from the biggest day of the year bar a few neighbours houses.
to them who are wondering about the cafe insides not looking the same as show, this is due to the cafe scenes being recorded in a studio, only the front of the cafe was used in the show.
Nice video I went too holmfirh in. 2018 and. 2019 lovely famous town loved Sids cafe and and same too last of the summer wine exhibition inside Compo house is great 😊
I have been to Holmfirth many times and always have a coffee and teacake at Sid's cafe. I know it sounds stupid but I always feel a little disappointed that Ivy is not there. Please don't forget it will be 50 years since the first episode in 2023
I’ve been here many times over the years, and it was interesting to see how the shops have changed. It looks much more prosperous now than it did back in the eighties. Still a lovely town in a beautiful area. Thanks for posting. Must visit again soon!
Hello Neil how are you homefruth is a beautiful place I use to watch the last of the summer wine on the telly it was very good the weather isn't very good its cold and wet thiugh I do love the snow especially at this time of the month best wishes stay safe xx
HOLMFIRTH Apart from Last Of The Summer Wine, near the start of your walk is where cinema films were being made by the Bamforth Brothers only months after the first ever film was produced in 1895. The Bamforths are famous for their comic 'cheeky' postcards.
Thanks for taking us all back to Holmfirth - been there in the summer for the Folk Festival, when there's music in all the pubs 🎼🎵🎶 I went into the Cafe and had a hot chocolate, went into the Fish & Chip shop opposite the Market Hall (near Nellies). It is a lovely town, small enough to walk around, with small independent shops. There is an Aldi just a short walk away, too ! The only problem with this town is that it's in the middle of nowhere but on a main route, so heavy traffic, including very large lorries, trundle through it all day long and it gets very clogged up in the centre. Such a shame. But a nice place to visit all the same. Keep em coming Mr Walk 🚶👍💯🇬🇧🇬🇧🎄☃️
The traffic is like that throughout really. It has been heavily built up tenfold since the show. Certainly not like it was early 90s. All we can hear in this video is traffic but I imagine this was around 3-5pm rush hour. Huge schools nearby. My parents never stop complaining about how bad traffic has got and they're in a village next door.
Love.y walk around Holmfirth. I still enjoy all the old episodes of Last of. Not been to Holmfirth for a few years but remember how busy the road is. Such a shame it spoils the at atmosphere. You need to keep aware of all 😮the traffic! They should make it a 20 zone.
Its very very packed Holmfirth. What this video doesn't show is how rows and rows of houses continue to be built as well as huge high-schools and two massive supermarkets. This part of England is not what it was in the 90s and prior. I do think the middle of the village is a 20 due to multiple zebra crossings.
My wife and I visited here from Canada in 2009 at this time of year. Had a cuppa and a scone in the cafe. I bought a Tshirt which I finally wore to death. Wouldn' t mind living here....
Thank you so much for showing the town. It doesn't matter how many ive seen ill always appreciate watching them. As a massive fan of the show i too have all the dvds... i always watch them on tv too. The show is not only funny but its great for my mental health and so calming. Praying all goes well ill be visiting in sept 23. Cant wait. Ps i love watching your other walks around others towns too. Thank you. 😊
I'm glad the show helps with your wellbeing. Thanks for sharing it's really appreciated. Good fortunes for you and you're always welcome in Holmfirth. Always :)
@Roger Temple, lovely to see that like me,you love LOTSW.. I have visited a number of times over the years. Just love it. Merry Christmas to you and family in America, from mine in UK..
As a Kiwi (New Zealander)...I didnt start watching "LAST OF THE SUMMER WINE" until the mid 90s. I fell in ❤ with the series that I never missed an episode from this day onwards. COMPO was my favourite and I just loved the Township and fields it was filmed located. Would of loved to see also where Clegg stayed neighbouring with Pearl & Howard....Also Wesleys Mechanic shed and his home just to name a few. I miss all the Characters (Those that have passed etc) and still alive today. Thank you for sharing, it feels like the great LAST OF THE SUMMER WINE is still alive and well and it never ended. 💋💋💋
Great vid, had a day there several years ago, went on bus tour, cuppa in Sid’s cafe, and up to see compo,s grave, never knew there was all these lovely little shops & market but I’d love to see it again to stay couple nights such a quaint larl place with quaint shops, I remember couple charity shops which I love going in for a bargain, thanks for takin me back once again
I think it was a cup of tea and a bun. Compo liked his buns. I am a real fan and have visited Holmfirth on three occasions from NZ. That was 1998, 2001, 2004. I don't remember seeing so much traffic. We visited the graveyard to see Compos grave and did the bus tour from Sids Cafe and met some of the cast on two occasions when they were waiting to start filming. I have Frank Thornton's signature and best wishes along with Ray Baraclough, Brian Murphy, Keith who dressed like Robin Hood, Jane Freeman, Juliet Caplan and Dora Bryne. Lovely to see Holmfirth again it hasn't changed except for the traffic.
I would unfortunately think twice on the peaceful bit but if you find yourself rarely going into the village, you'll be able to escape to the hills. Good luck
Go off the beaten path and you'll have a fantastic time, may find it cheaper to stay in Huddersfield town and get the bus to holmfirth, 20 minute bus at about £2 :) lovely villages around Holmfirth also.
This was a lovely village. I'm abit too young for Last of the Summer Wine I remember it vaguuely as a very young kid But it was nice to see the areas that were used for the series & it didn't look as rural as I thought it would look. The cafe in that square was very quaint. I've never heard of this town but there was lots of interesting chocolate box type shops! I'm glad you had your walking boots on Neil. Best to be safe! Especially walking on those "Frosty Cobbles!"
Nice video to see these little villages and town's at Christmas, I feel they have maintained that traditional feel with Santa and their window decorations. The city I live don't even have a grotto in the shopping centre anymore. It's a shame the way it's going. Always enjoy Gimbal for taking us around 🎅🎅
Absolute lovely place. We used to go every Christmas to watch the band bad manners at the old pictures. Great times me and my mate had, but sadly he's passed away. Great video pal 👍 👌
This has made me pine for coming home this Christmas (2022) I do miss the place, spent Christmas and summer around this beautiful town. Thanks for a great video, subscribed.
Watching in hot Adelaide 42C helps feel cool. Loved LOTSW we saw some here but Fox showed it early mid and late but never the full show. Awesome video one day I will travel here. Thanks for the great tour.
Loved this walk through, one of the best Holmfirth walk video’s I’ve seen on UA-cam. Thanks for posting. Now on to check out some of your other videos.
Perhaps you ought to do part II and film more of the filming locations of LOSW, like Howard's and Clegg's houses, Barry's house and the hills as well, that would be fantastic, but thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed the trip, the funny thing is, I don't live far from Holmfirth but just finding the time to visit this amazing little town it gets a bit tricky sometimes.
Thank you for sharing your video, we visited over 25 years back? looks great place for shops , but i must say it is not for disabled persons not even a wheelchair? sorry , we are both disabled but glad we went! We watch last of summer most days natural every days comedy. colour of the water is all the minerals deposit washed of the hills, (in Scotland that what make whisky taste so great) very good camera work, all the best take care , thank you.
As an American fan of the LOTSW the most funniest situation comedy ever and it doesn't matter if you understand English humor or not but I have British ancestors and years of watching many British comedies as I'm 58 years old now and I visit Holmfirth and the other surrounding areas on Google Earth Maps Street View regularly and when I visit the area via Google Earth Maps I imagine that the various characters from the series are walking through the countryside and the streets and going in and out of the businesses and from the main trio from the original trio to the later ones and the supporting characters as well and who knows who I'll run across on my tour it could be Clegg, Compo, Blamire, Foggy, Seymour, Truly or the others such as Sid, Ivy, Nora, Wally, Howard, Pearl, Marina, and all the others from the main characters to the minor ones and all those in between in fact I just passed a police car now it was parked in a clearing and the PC'S were having lunch and that reminded me of the local cops and also saw a nearsighted man walking into a women's restroom at least I think he was nearsighted you never know who you'll run into and since most of them are in Heaven now maybe it really is them and I just read that Tom Owen has passed away and maybe I'll see Tom walking along with his dad and the others well Merry Christmas to all of the Last of the Summer Wine fans near and far, 😉.
Tom Owen? I didn’t know that, that’s very sad. Last Of The Summer Wine and Keeping Up Appearances actress Josephine Tewson died on 18 August 2022 at the age of 91, her agent confirmed in a statement. She died at Denville Hall, a care home in London for people in the entertainment industry. Tom was only 73. May they both Rest In Peace
First of all, great video. I normally don't like silent videos, where you have to read, mainly because the writing is always so small and they move so quickly. 2nd it's done really well, not hurried and I like the way you have everything written so boldly and clear. Excellent job, I loved the t.v show and still watch every night before going to bed. It never gets old. Lol, I feel like I've been to Holmfirth, I've seen so many videos of it. But your video is the very best, no kidding. Thanks for allowing me to "Stroll", along with you.😊😊
I love this town and it’s memories from the tv series of course. Next time you are there try Compo’s Chippy, probably a little far out of town but the food will warm you up.
Last Of The Summer Wine actor Tom Owen has died 08.11.2022 at the age of 73, his family has confirmed. Owen played Tom Simmonite, the long lost son of Compo - who was played by the actor's real-life father Bill Owen.
I’ve Gotta say I absolutely love your video I was glued to my phone you’re so professional and to see where last of the summer wine was filmed is absolutely fantastic so I’m a big fan I wish it never ended! The water being a burgundy red I think it’s rotten leaves! or it could be partly iron! Thank you so much for such a fantastic video. ps River could be burgundy red because of the oxidisation of iron
20.54 Holmfirth Mills shop. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has watch every episode and noticed how this shop at the end of Compo and Nora's street used to change periodically with different coloured shop signs as the years passed!
Maybe you could find somewhere cheaper in Huddersfield town and get the bus to Holmfirth. 20 minute bus, £2. Huddersfield market on a morning maybe good too. If you do come, perhaps try during a Folk Festival of either Holmfirth or Marsden.
In my rainy Northwestern US the color of the burgundy color river water comes from decomposing tree leaves that fall into the river. May be the same for this river in England. Merry Christmas.
Mineral deposits I think for Holmfirth, the river goes through Honley as well. It doesn't stay brown, fortunately, and can happen midsummer. Good to know about the leaves!
Nice video very clear dialogued. I noticed lot's of building, and walls by the river are Black with soot? is this from it's industrial past? thnks for sharing.
14:28 & 15:27 is that a local custom; I've never seen a tree that's hung above the door. Here in the US the malls have huge, gaudy decorations. The mall's stores really don't decorate as shown here, so it's nice to see these shops and restaurants decorated for the holidays. Was the lane where Norman's and Howard/Pearl's homes are located far away from the center of town?
I've got the first ten series of lotsw unfortunately the pilot isn't included in the boxset, there were so many locations you would need a week or more to see them all, as a lot of locations included surrounding areas and some are miles from Holmfirth, including the location for the episode that's set in Wales but filmed in England, miles from Holmfirth, and then there's the 2nd homes of Clegg and Howard, I believe in early episodes Clegg lived somewhere near Sid's cafe in the row of houses at the top of the long staircase and then there's Barry and Glenda's house, so many places and not all in Holmfirth, but other towns and villages near and far,
Thanks for sharing. Love summer wine. Soft gentle comedy. Am I the only one that stopped watching after Foggy left for the last time? The show had changed and became ridiculously painful to watch after he left. They would have been better off making a spin off show than carrying on. Now, the first few Series Clegg was not a nervous wreck scared of everything and NOT afraid of women and even took on Norah and ivy I believe. They also cursed and low key swore and smoked and were crude. . Then a few Series in when foggy arrived it changed but was still good. Now throughout the series Compo was ribbed throughout most of the many series for not fighting during the war being stationed at Aldershot mocked by Clegg, Seymour Foggy and Blamire. In the much later series where compo died, all of a sudden he did fight and was at the beaches at Dunkirk.. When they met Seymour they did not know who he was, then a few episodes in, they were friends at school, same Wesley Pegden and Eddie. Even Foggy they barely knew when Blamire told them Foggy was arriving as he was leaving. But soon he was a close friend to them at school. There are many things that the writers appeared to overlook over the 30 odd years. Lovely programme and so easy watching. It's surprising it stood the test of time using the same format and same gags. Norahs wrinkled stockings, compo being hit with a tray or broom, the three all falling off the same bike etc. Legends.
REST IN PEACE BILL PETER AND THE OTHER CAST OF LAST OF THE SUMMER WINE. MY FAVOURITE WAS BILL REST IN PEACE BILL YOUR NOW WITH YOUR PAL PETER AMEN.GODBLESS YOU BOTH AND THE OTHERS TO AMEN🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🐬🐬🕊🕊🦋🦋🕊🦋🕊🦋🕊🦋🕊🦋🕊🌹🌹🌹🌹🌷🌷🌷🌷🌻🌻🌻🌻🌹🌹🌹
Some years ago I had the privilege of meeting Kathy Staff (Norah Batty) in a London hotel. She was utterly charming and not a bit like the old battleaxe she played in LOTSW. No wrinkled stockings either!
Last Of The Summer Wine and Keeping Up Appearances actress Josephine Tewson died on 18 August 2022 at the age of 91, her agent confirmed in a statement. She died at Denville Hall, a care home in London for people in the entertainment industry.
Many years ago we visited parked motocycle up.. went into elephant and castle for grub n pint got cracking to an old guy and during conversation it transpired his wife was from our city (carlisle)met her during ww2 was up here in RAF ....coincedence's or what....😖😂👍👍👍🎅🍻🎉🎊🎈🎁

Amazing!
Yes the traffic gets very busy now there
I live here ❤ Decorations look beautiful in the dark. Unfortunately our market is being demolished😢
True! Looks lovely
Lucky you!
You have done enough for me to want to live there, it looks lovely and peaceful. Thank you.
Our pleasure!
I would unfortunately think twice on the peaceful bit but if you find yourself rarely going into the village, you'll be able to escape to the hills. Good luck
Thank you love your tour would love to see your town it looks calm👍
Glad you enjoyed!
Go off the beaten path and you'll have a fantastic time, may find it cheaper to stay in Huddersfield town and get the bus to holmfirth, 20 minute bus at about £2 :) lovely villages around Holmfirth also.
This was a lovely village.
I'm abit too young for Last of the Summer Wine I remember it vaguuely as a very young kid
But it was nice to see the areas that were used for the series & it didn't look as rural as I thought it would look.
The cafe in that square was very quaint.
I've never heard of this town but there was lots of interesting chocolate box type shops!
I'm glad you had your walking boots on Neil.
Best to be safe!
Especially walking on those "Frosty Cobbles!"
It’s beautiful there . I watched The Last of The Summer Wine. Awesome show . I would love to visit there .. Great video.
Thank you 🙏
Thank you 🙏
I watch it everyday love it
@Gimbal Walk TV. Thank you for taking me/ us to many places I have been. Great memories. Merry Christmas to you and family.🎅🏻🤶🏻
Same to you! Have a great time!
I though about retiring to Holmfirth, for the peace & quiet and the scenery, but seeing all that traffic, it is busier than were I live now !
Happy holidays!
Watching in hot Adelaide 42C helps feel cool. Loved LOTSW we saw some here but Fox showed it early mid and late but never the full show. Awesome video one day I will travel here. Thanks for the great tour.
U Legend ! ...never would have known these places exisited if not for your walk tours. Have a relaxin Christmas u deserve it !
Thank you my friend! You too!
Loved this walk through, one of the best Holmfirth walk video’s I’ve seen on UA-cam. Thanks for posting. Now on to check out some of your other videos.
Awesome, thank you! Really appreciated!
Hey Neil my fav place holmfirth love it ...thanku for doing this.... It's a wonderful place too visit and stay over keep safe mate 😊💯
You too mate - have a great weekend
Perhaps you ought to do part II and film more of the filming locations of LOSW, like Howard's and Clegg's houses, Barry's house and the hills as well, that would be fantastic, but thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed the trip, the funny thing is, I don't live far from Holmfirth but just finding the time to visit this amazing little town it gets a bit tricky sometimes.
Will try and do a part II yes!
@@GimbalWalkTV You might enjoy Meltham for walks, I wouldn't go down the usual trails as there's a few surprises to be found.
I would like to pay a visit here it's beautiful scenery
Very!
Thank you for sharing your video, we visited over 25 years back?
looks great place for shops , but i must say it is not for disabled persons
not even a wheelchair? sorry , we are both disabled but glad we went!
We watch last of summer most days natural every days comedy.
colour of the water is all the minerals deposit washed of the hills,
(in Scotland that what make whisky taste so great)
very good camera work,
all the best take care , thank you.
As an American fan of the LOTSW the most funniest situation comedy ever
and it doesn't matter if you understand English humor or not but I have British
ancestors and years of watching many British comedies as I'm 58 years old now
and I visit Holmfirth and the other surrounding areas on Google Earth Maps Street View
regularly and when I visit the area via Google Earth Maps I imagine that the various characters
from the series are walking through the countryside and the streets and going in and out of
the businesses and from the main trio from the original trio to the later ones and the supporting
characters as well and who knows who I'll run across on my tour it could be Clegg, Compo, Blamire,
Foggy, Seymour, Truly or the others such as Sid, Ivy, Nora, Wally, Howard, Pearl, Marina, and all the others
from the main characters to the minor ones and all those in between in fact I just passed a police car
now it was parked in a clearing and the PC'S were having lunch and that reminded me of the local cops
and also saw a nearsighted man walking into a women's restroom at least I think he was nearsighted
you never know who you'll run into and since most of them are in Heaven now maybe it really is them
and I just read that Tom Owen has passed away and maybe I'll see Tom walking along with his dad
and the others well Merry Christmas to all of the Last of the Summer Wine fans near and far, 😉.
Visit in person its better than Google maps
I love to watch slw because it's reminder impermanence of life .
Agreed
Wow.. just loved it ..thankyou 👍
You’re welcome ☺️
First of all, great video. I normally don't like silent videos, where you have to read, mainly because the writing is always so small and they move so quickly. 2nd it's done really well, not hurried and I like the way you have everything written so boldly and clear. Excellent job, I loved the t.v show and still watch every night before going to bed. It never gets old. Lol, I feel like I've been to Holmfirth, I've seen so many videos of it. But your video is the very best, no kidding. Thanks for allowing me to "Stroll", along with you.😊😊
Thank you so much! That’s lovely feedback ❤️
Lovely thank you, big SW fan here
Thank you
Nice walk 🤾♀️🤾♂️🏃👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you 👍
I love this town and it’s memories from the tv series of course. Next time you are there try Compo’s Chippy, probably a little far out of town but the food will warm you up.
Good recommendation. Probably the best fish n chips around!
Love this Town, bought many a Book from the Daisey Lane 2nd hand book shop, & the Old Bridge Pub serves the best Game Pie i have ever tasted !!!
Oooh I’m going to have to try that! That sounds right up my street
Last time you came to Holmfirth that was the 1st video seen and enjoyed so I stayed.
Amazing thank you!
Thanks great job as always but now I want to visit there (last of the summer wine town )
20.54 Holmfirth Mills shop. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has watch every episode and noticed how this shop at the end of Compo and Nora's street used to change periodically with different coloured shop signs as the years passed!
Ahhh now you've got me wanting to watch them all over again to see! 🤣
Looks beautiful, I'd love a visit 😍 💕 Xxx
Maybe you could find somewhere cheaper in Huddersfield town and get the bus to Holmfirth. 20 minute bus, £2. Huddersfield market on a morning maybe good too. If you do come, perhaps try during a Folk Festival of either Holmfirth or Marsden.
Awesome
Went there on a mystery coach tip...with my son around 3..he's 42 now lol..still looks the same
Mystery coach trip sounds like a good idea! Unless they take you to a supermarket...
It's used to be paper 📃 mill upstream
I was fan of Last of the summer wine I love show
I live in a nearby village. We all love that it's not corporate.
Yes it makes it special.
Hate towns that look the same as each other because of corporate and huge brand names
Try Hurley in Wharfedale if you want Christmas lights! Stunning!
Oooh thank you - just added to my list!
That should be Burley in Wharfedale (auto correct strikes again!)
I kept expecting to see Foggy and the boys walking to sids cafe for a cup of tea and a sticky bun.
Nice video very clear dialogued. I noticed lot's of building, and walls by the river are Black with soot? is this from it's industrial past? thnks for sharing.
Great video as usual, the water is red due to old underground mine workings further up stream.
Ah I see! That makes sense
Thank you for the info!
10/10 thank you. what's the parking like up there I don't walk far these days? cheers
Parking can be a bit tricky
I park just up the hill usually as it just gets so busy there
the water is red cos of the ochre thats why is red , and by the way i love that place thank you so much xx
Bang on pamela, comes from the old mine workings I think.
Legends.
ha ha some great memories there! Thank you - that's put a smile on my face!
As far as I remember, this must be the second time you've been to Holmfirth. A place where I wouldn't mind living!
Yeah been a few times - it's great going there!
Hi Smiler. Your coat is hanging up inside the summer wine exhibition.
@@ghunt9146 I've been looking for that!
Some years ago I had the privilege of meeting Kathy Staff (Norah Batty) in a London hotel. She was utterly charming and not a bit like the old battleaxe she played in LOTSW. No wrinkled stockings either!
Great actress
Has she passed away?
Well done…
Thank you
The red is humic matter. Its very common in rivers that drain areas with peat or very saturated soils.
Last Of The Summer Wine and Keeping Up Appearances actress Josephine Tewson died on 18 August 2022 at the age of 91, her agent confirmed in a statement. She died at Denville Hall, a care home in London for people in the entertainment industry.
The leaves that fall into the river let go tanning which turns the water a different color
Iron ore from thePennines colouring the water?
Ochre is simply red clay.. nothing to worry about :)
Yer nearly got yerself run over there mate!! 1:32
