Some tips for getting around or mitigating the issues mentioned in the video: A nice little fix for skeleton mages is to use poison mages. Your skeletons minions are immune to poison damage (As well as the disease damage casted with the Necromanticon perk restoration spells) so your skeletons won't turn hostile on each other. Don't worry about making your army too large, as the "Make way for you Lord" power your get the barrow lord perk makes all your skeleton minions disappear for 10 seconds, allowing you easy passage. They reappear near where they disappeared, not near you, so don't rush too far ahead Also, if you have essential NPCs made killable, either through a mod or through ini edits, your skeletons will simply die and return some bones when out of health, which is more immersive, but can be annoying when 2 skeletons die and their bones over encumber you. I find having essential NPCs off is good for necromancer runs anyways since you might eventually decide to raid a village
@@chebgonaz You would need both perks for skeleton mages, then you get to pick which type of mage you want at the bone altar each time you make one. Another thing I didn't mention is that the illusion skill tree has a branch related to buffing your followers/allies. With the Master of the Mind perk, allowing illusion to work on undead, you can use this to buff your skeletons further, offering them armor rating, damage bonus, and magic resistance
I’m currently in the middle of a bound weapon summoner build for ordinator and I stumbled on this vid. It was nice and in depth even if it wasn’t precisely what I was looking for. But also props to you for responding to comments even after 2 years
@@kelvinhernandezsalas8818 Thanks. It's a small channel, not so much traffic, I can still respond to stuff. If you're looking for necromancy games with minions, plz check my other videos. It's the focus of the channel
Seeing this wonders me how any summoner could not play without no follower collusion. Also heavy immersion breaker when they all draw weapons when you do. Extensive follower framework allows it to set the distance to 0, meaning they will stop copying you like mannequins. Also no friendly fire.
There’s a mod to help with your minions getting in your way that makes you able to walk through characters. I can’t remember the name right now though. Also, glad to see you review this mods necromancy perks. This is one of my favourite ways of playing as a true necromancer.
Or for when normal npcs just keep getting in your way in general. Skyrim's dungeons aren't typically built for armies to march through them I find. Plus when I use the 'Immersive College of Winterhold' mod, the college members keep stopping on the stairs to the second floor of the library the mod adds.
I love your channel as a first note. On a second note I agree with you, I wish the crafting was a bit more in depth. I wish to create a simple skeleton you needed a petty or lesser soul gem as an example. It seems more lore friendly too. Usually with my necromancers and liches I tend to do both reanimation and bone harvesting. I think a necromancer would usually do both.
Another cool thing about Ordinator is that different skill trees can be compatible with each other. If you want to be a battle mage rather than a squishy mage you can put 70 points in Heavy Armor and get the "Lead the Tempest" perk, which not only increases your allies's defense when you sprint into combat, but also effects you skeletons from the Bone Collector perk. Can only imagine what the enemies must feel like when then see you leading a horde of skeletons into battle.
Yeah, for Necro I always go for the bone tree. For me that's an actual necro. An Undead army. For getting stuck in tight spots due to it being tight. I use a mod that lets you clip through anyone. Get 10-15 skelies and I just sit back and enjoy the show.
@@chebgonaz I wish it only worked on allies. Because enemies clip through, too. It's easy to avoid power attacks because by the time the attack lands. They've already clipped through you. Its nice you or minions didn't take damage, but still kinda broken.
@@azraelselvmord3650 i wonder why nobody has made a mod that does it how you describe. My guess is since every mod adda different minions it's probably all or nothing. But they could make mods specifically for the minions of a certain mod to make only them lose collision to the player
@@chebgonaz Yeah, there is a perk in the conjunction tree called "Make way for your lord" that power should activate it for like 5-10sec then collision will come back. That power doesn't work in tight area because the minions have no where to move to. So just making you Ethearal for 5-10sec would give you enough time to pass through them.
The mod for both of them is the Beyond Skyrim mod. It adds a new Bruma region to the south which has ayleid ruins and lots of Oblivion stuff. The scamp spell you can buy from the mages in Bruma
