This feels like a family reunion where your two favorite uncles are having a side conversation in the shop, and you're there listening... Just outstanding. Thank you.
Two former English teachers who are now teaching history. Hickok45 is a wealth of knowledge in firearms history, and Ron seems to know the history of every cartridge ever made.
Two great men that will live on in history. You both have the greatest personalities and brought so much to all of us. We'll always be so grateful. God Bless you both. Looking forward to the next Sunday shoot around and caliber discussion, hope there are many more years to come.
Mr Mellring was my English teacher, he was My hunter Ed. Instructor ( we actually got that as a club in school) he liked to hunt, and we would often read hunting stories aloud in class. The girls rolled their eyes but I was in heaven. I graduated in 1995. Too bad kids don't get that these days.
In this day of rampant stupidity how refreshing to listen to two intelligent gentlemen talking about their passions! Don’t bother grading my English I went to public schools! Lol
Plenty of stupidity......evil politicians are trying to control Americans . Telling you what is best for you...America 🇺🇸 home of the brave and the free. Sorry for the political view. But I'm passed. 2024 DJT ❤.
I knew the Marine who earned a medal of honor on IWO. He taught me how to shoot when I was 12. He passed away last year here in Oregon. I follow both of you on UA-cam.
Two great Americans, that have through their careers, stood up for us folks to bear arms(2nd Amendment) ,to promote knowledge of the firearm industry, safety use of thereof, and enjoyment of the outdoors, to hunt and shoot the firearms we own and love! Thanks guys for standing in the gap!!!👍
You just hit it right there, we love to interact with the gun. Levers, bolts, pumps all cause joy when the action moves and does it’s thing with all those wonderful mechanical sounds. If drawing the hammer back on a single action revolver doesn’t blow up your skirt I don’t know what will.
I learned so much from Hickok45, from the English language (I’m ESL) to my love of muzzle loaders, modern and classic firearms, gun safety and the fun of shooting pumpkins, water melons and gongs and overall, Hickok is the coolest in the gun community !!
Ron you have explain alot on ammo and what it does. Which has helped a lot for me. Hickok 45 has helped me to make gun that I won't to get and add to my safe. God bless you both. Hope you all the best of health. Hope to keep seeing you both for many of years to come
Nice conversation. I retired here in Tennessee about 25 miles or so from Hickock’s area. We love it here and feel blessed to be able to walk out onto our property and enjoy some target practice. I hope to meet Mr. Hickok someday. It would be great to sit and have a cup of coffee and hear some of his stories.
One of the reasons I LOVE your work is there is no "Tactical" this or that. No war war stuff. No machine guns. No grenade throwers. I love rifles the most. And I love the rifles you feature and the Jack OConner rifle was pure nirvana for me. I'm 72 and miss the old days of Wood and blue steel.
I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW MUCH BOTH OF YOU MEAN TO THOSE OF US IN THE SHOOTING WORLD AND OUT FOR THAT MATTER! IT'S FANTASTIC TO SEE YOU BOTH ON ONE VIDEO!!!
Now I need to read Shane. The movie is awesome and time tested, but I suspect the book is even better. Keep lookin' good for the ladies, fellas 🎉 Thanks for the great interview.
I have been following hickok45 for about 1 - 1 1/2 years now and the content is always great and honest and direct and I came across him just looking into normal firearm safety as well. Thank you for doing the interview I can't believe I'm just trying to find out about it now
What a great show. Two of my favorite Gun guys on one show. Hickok is my (is it reliable ) guy and Spomer is my (will it do the job)guy. You two are responsible for me owning way more firearms then one man should. I am blessed. Thank you Ron.
Thank you to both of you. Your audience loves ya. Nice seeing two of the best advocates together. I hope you enjoy making the material as much as we do consuming it.
Got a good kick out of this, this is something I didn’t know I needed, probably all of us didn’t know we needed. Thanks again RSO and Hickok! Until next time!
We need more teachers in public schools like Hickok and Ron! Also, it was a Hickok45 video on the M1 carbine that got me going down the rabbit hole on UA-cam.
I got into the firearms world (other than my military career) later in life and I have to say these two gentlemen are my favorites to watch and I have learned an awful lot. Love their style and variety/history of firearms and types of rounds and ballistics. I bought my Uberti 45lc Cattleman because of watching Hickok and understand the ballistics of my 308 hunting rifle by watching Ron S. I try to never miss what these guys have to say. True legends both of them.
I used to love the early funny videos he did with TN9 outdoors, like the episode in which they went out to hunt a rogue man killing lawnmower in the woods, and when they found they discovered it was being driven by the 'evil owl' prompting the famous line "Oh no the owl and the lawnmower have teamed up" before blasting it with about 200 rounds until it caught fire! Happy times!
2 legends. I will say, I've been with Hickok longer for mainly entertainment shooting, as the learning part of his videos I mostly already knew, although he has the persona to keep the newbies learning the very important points of firearm safety. Which is of the utmost importance in our hobby. But Ron has a different approach to the technical data that intrigues me to no end. He inspired the purchase of several calibers I currently own, the latest being a Ruger #1 in 220 swift. Still tweaking that rifle but I love it. Here's to many more good years of these 2 intelligent firearms legends. Carry on ,Sir.
When I was in high school my freshmen English teacher, an ex-special forces member, participated in fast draw competitions as a hobby. He brought his pair of Colt 45s and holster rig to class to show us and to demonstrate the fast draw (as it was in 1964). He always kept our interest in class. He also drove a Chevy, SS 409, 4-speed, white convertible with red interior. A mans' man.
No way this is happening, 2 legends in one video
🤯
Yes it is REAL!!!!!!!!
It’s like listening to legends/gods
Agreed. What a match up. I’ve watched so many of both of their videos.
Two of my favorite people that's just too cool thank you guys
You two are serious ambassadors to each of our respected sports, thank you.
I want A .300 Holland & Holland rifle
@@gradyhernandez4699 I want Hickock45's shooting range!
Thank you Ron for having Hickok on, I enjoy both of your channels!
Hickok lives about 15 miles from my house. I have talked to him a couple of times -- he is very approachable and friendly.
15 minutes from your home ? Sorry about your luck
That's pretty cool good neighbor to have
Gunblue 490 seems like a good guest for Ron
That’s my man!
I watch John for the guns and Ron for the ammo.
Two great men that will live on in history. You both have the greatest personalities and brought so much to all of us. We'll always be so grateful. God Bless you both. Looking forward to the next Sunday shoot around and caliber discussion, hope there are many more years to come.
2 of the best

Two legendary men truly salt of the earth glad you did this collaboration
These two gents approach a serious subject with humility and humor, something the firearms world is in desperate need of.
Gentlemen, thank you!
Took the words right out of my mouth.
Two of my favorites
Thank you both enjoy you both
Retired deputy and life long shooter and hunter and just enjoy the content you both put out there
Thank you for your service, really appreciate your hard work to keep people safe
Second comment. Forgotten Weapons with Ian is an absolutely amazing page because firearm people and some others are into history.
Now, this is a nice surprise! Thank you, gentleman 👍
Jack Palance! Great actor. Love the movie! Lol

But I'm passed.
2024 DJT ❤.
Imagine having these guys for your English teacher. 😅
The best sound of the morning is the sound of an M-60 echoing through the Tennessee hills.
Music to my ears!
This couldn’t be better two great Legends with GREAT mustaches in a podcast
now that's a combo
Love watching you two. To much to comment on.
Now this is the collaboration of collaborations.
I knew the Marine who earned a medal of honor on IWO. He taught me how to shoot when I was 12. He passed away last year here in Oregon. I follow both of you on UA-cam.
Ron, that was thoroughly entertaining! Ron Spomer the Super Hunter and Hickok 45 the Super Shooter!
Hickok45 is awesome. Great interview.
I needed a book to read, so I've ordered Shane.
This is great. To bad Jack O'Connor and Elmer Keith are gone.
I’ve made several firearm purchases based on hikok45’s videos and I am currently reading one of Ron Spoomers books. Two men who’s opinions I respect.
Whenever I'm thinking of buying a gun, I check for one of his videos first to check it out.
You just hit it right there, we love to interact with the gun. Levers, bolts, pumps all cause joy when the action moves and does it’s thing with all those wonderful mechanical sounds. If drawing the hammer back on a single action revolver doesn’t blow up your skirt I don’t know what will.
Both of my best gun guys at the same time. Life is good.
Jack O'Conner would be proud of both of you.
And you both keep it interesting. Like a good teacher does.
Two greats, appreciate you both
Two of the greatest outdoors 2A sources in history. Thank you gents for your work.

Love it. Old guys. English teachers! You gotta be kidding me.
I really like you "two old guys" and enjoy your vids too. That you were English teachers is just icing on the cake to me.

I learned so much from Hickok45, from the English language (I’m ESL) to my love of muzzle loaders, modern and classic firearms, gun safety and the fun of shooting pumpkins, water melons and gongs and overall, Hickok is the coolest in the gun community !!
Two faves in one.
There is a warmth that comes through making these two so watchable.
Former physics teacher here.
Two of the 2A apostles.
We need more of these conversations.
Hickock's personal range is propabaly has one of heaviest deposits of copper and lead due to all the millions of projectiles sent down range 😁👌
My two favorite UA-cam people. Thank you

With Hickok 45 as a guest, Life Is Good
Great interview with one of my favorite gun folks.

I hope to meet Mr. Hickok someday. It would be great to sit and have a cup of coffee and hear some of his stories.
I'm glad Hickok's finally made it big!
Thanks you Kansas. Glad you're enjoying.
I love guns of wood and steel. Especially guns like the Browning Auto 5 (the old one). I'm more of a shotgun guy
Love both of you!
What a great interview between Ron and America's Grandpa. Thanks for all that you do, guys.
I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW MUCH BOTH OF YOU MEAN TO THOSE OF US IN THE SHOOTING WORLD AND OUT FOR THAT MATTER! IT'S FANTASTIC TO SEE YOU BOTH ON ONE VIDEO!!!
Shane was one of my dad's favorite movies...

As a shooter, from as far back as the 50’s, my two favorite gunners getting together is quite a treat 👍
We need more teachers in public schools like Hickok and Ron! Also, it was a Hickok45 video on the M1 carbine that got me going down the rabbit hole on UA-cam.
Awesome show Ron. Two of my favorite guntubers. Keep up the good work.

2 giants in the industry, thanks for all you both do!!!
A TOTAL HONOR! IT'S LIKE YOU WERE IN MY LIVING ROOM.
Wow! Two living legends! It doesn't get better than this!
Two of my favorite people to watch on UA-cam on the same show. Wow!

Thank you Southernbuck.
