This man is the reason I got into speedrunning. I saw a video of one of his records back in 2017 and started watching more speedruns on youtube and twitch afterwards before eventually deciding to give it a shot myself. Can't even imagine where I'd be if that video didn't randomly pop up
For me that was simpleflips....until i saw his content i was under the impression that speedrunning was pretentious and just a way to show off....then i started watching and he was a genuinely funny guy and i was hooked

Darbian was the first speedrunner I ever watched, he was truly one of my first inspirations to get into my own speedruns. He has such a different and refreshing vibe from other big speedrunners, and I'll always be thankful for that. If you end up reading this Darb, thank you.

I like speedrunning alot of games like he does although I'm not nearly as good as he is, I've have also speedrunned a boatload of games, getting many many WRS in much less popular and competitive games, and also speedrunning the more competitive games like mario donkey Kong tmnt mario kart games just for fun I just love playing so many games, I will never be anywere near as good as darbian though.
Watched his entire journey of lost levels d-4. It was some of the most exciting speedrunning I've ever watched live. Nearly every level has some notable rng elements and could kill the run.
