    4AM photographer here, If I had your drone my petty ass would have made back and forth passes between his cameras and hovered in front of his cameras until he left. Ultimately you made the more mature choice but man I would have been heated. Anyways, love the videos, cinematics, and editing! Can't wait to watch this channel grow.

      4 am photographer here, I enjoyed your video. I’m thinking with the kind of camera he had, a simple few frames taken hand held would have done the trick. Also, I figured the title of this video, which I was eagerly awaiting why you titled it that was an ah ha moment for me when you got to this guy. I’m just getting started and I long to get out to Utah for overlanding. Now I just need a rig. Hope it’s not too late with everyone now getting into this hobby.

    4am photographer here. Some people just can't get along and don't play well with others. Oh well... Great video and love the fire pit - but, no way would I spend that amount. Incredible time lapse shots overnight with all the stars and planes crisscrossing over the land. Looking forward to the coming warmer weather and some time to get lost.

    @billj5645 7 місяців тому

    I thought the original video was perfectly OK. I wanted to be there for the eclipse but had to settle for viewing it at 85% from my front yard. I'm not sad about missing the eclipse, that was just an excuse for a trip, I'm more sad about missing out on a good trip.
    Fire pits are a personal thing, I've learned that if my daughter comes along with me she will bring her big fire pit and big propane tank and I just have to accept the packing challenge in the back of the Jeep.
    Carrying extra items such as the fire pit and the telescoping light makes part of the trip more enjoyable but there is the downside of packing/unpacking everything and packing challenges in the vehicle if you have smaller space such as the back of a Wrangler.
    I'm always curious why you have 5 people on a trip and everybody brings their own vehicle. Is there a reason why you don't gather in one spot and go forward with fewer vehicles? Does everybody want to experience and play with their own vehicle? On a trip like that I would enjoy having a passenger. Is it awkward to share a sleeping area? My daughter and I are happy sharing a tent but if I had someone else along with me I would want to bring 2 tents.
    I've been at that overlook once, nobody else was there, but the night before we could see lights coming from people camped there. There are some similar overlooks in the area where I've been and also had no other people there.

    • @JustinBMcBride
      @JustinBMcBride  6 місяців тому

      Thanks for the feedback Mac. Since UA-cam updated their UX and buried the video descriptions, I do make a stronger point in calling out links in the description.
      While you are watching free content here on UA-cam those links are a key method for funding the channel and the videos you’re watching. Not to mention, you aren’t the only viewer and this combats the regular comments I get of “what X are you using?”
      Much like traditional media, sports, and about anything else you consume, there are product plugs in my content. I assume you don’t go to work and not expect a paycheck? This is my job, and those commissions are my paycheck.
      Feel free to keep scrolling the next time UA-cam recommends one of my videos, that’s fine. But please don’t complain about the methods that make this content free for you and others.
      Hope that helps.
