We plan on moving to an off grid property and with that said we have propane to fuel our dryer. I didnt see any DIYs on this particular dryer so I decided to do one. I hope this helps.
Thank you for this video! It's the only one I've found that works with this kind of control panel top. Thanks to you I saved a couple hundred dollars and another day or two without clean drawers!
Thanks for your video. It was a real pain to get the threads to line up on the new gas orifice. The LP one had wicked sharp edges that sliced up my fingers. I solved the issue by applying mild pressure on the non-threaded side with a small flathead screwdriver while using the 10 mm wrench to thread it in. I appreciate the heads up about not over tightening to avoid snapping the brass piece. It's a balance, though, because you have to tighten it enough to avoid gas leaks.
I noticed on another similar video that it was necessary to change the pressure regulator to LP. This was the large white (nylon(?) screw in front of the part you installed. The instructions said to close it until the threads bottom out flush with the brass fixture it sits in. May want to check it out. Thanks so much for the video!!!
So the regulator would be turned which direction? I replaced the valve but not sure which way to turn the regulator, since it stops when turned in either direction.
Thank you so much!!!! I could not find anything for our dryer and this was so easy, a butter knife 🙄 who would have thought! This worked for my LG model # DLG7101W
Oh my god I had the exact same problem. It broke when I tightened it. Thank you for this video! I will order the replacement but now I know what to do 😄
Thank you. First thing a guy should do is throw out the instructions. Useless. Pop the top up and easy access to the metering valve. PITA to get the threads started. Good time to clean the bottom and the vent tube out.
I hope you know that I was trying to convert this exact dryer the other day and contacted LG online chat support and they sent me your video, like LG official chat support sent me the youtube link to this exact video. Idk about you but I'd see if I could get some money out of that
Right! I should hit up LG and ask them to show some love. It's all good. I'm just glad it's helping people out. but if I can squeeze out a few bucks from them I wouldn't mind 😂. Thanks for letting me know. Have a good one

You're welcome. Glad you were able to get it done.

Good advice. I made that mistake only once unfortunately that's all it took.

You are right. It's an important step. I converted another dryer and almost forgot about it.

You're welcome 😊. I've seen that butter knife used by someone else and decided to pass it along. Take care
exact thing happened to me, part broke, ordered another one and now it is working just fine, thanks
I'm so glad that worked out for you. I forgot how soft that brass is and it didn't take much for me to snap it.

As soon as I did it I thought oh boy I just broke it. Apparently it worked out for good😊

So do you have to change the regulator pressure part or just screw it all the way down??
I believe you screw it all the way down
@@NKBC1689 so I don't have to replace it only screw it ok thanks great videos
@ElMorelianorepairs You have to change the the brass part because it has a smaller hole but the screw just has to be lowered down
@@NKBC1689 ok great thanks for your videos 👌👌💯
Thank you!
