To the point, excellent instruction/guidance, well done, I would maybe say this is for people with advanced knowledge on gas appliances, I'm sure a novice can learn from also, as soon as I saw location, I was golden. Thank you for the straight forward direction. I hope you didn't get blown up with a million questions from people who have never done conversion, as they shouldn't be attempting this. Thank you
It is a good practice to Lable The unit as converted to L/P Gas. The label is still showing Natural Gas. Many years back worked in the L/P Field as service technician. Your video Is Great and It shows a lot of Great Information. Love that Pretty Blue flame..
Good instructions, I'm an appliance repair guy. Just wanted to add that you pulled the gas valve really easy, but sometimes dryers will have a 2 screw bracket thats holding the gas valve pipe down to the floor in the back of the inside of the machine that you will have to remove before performing that action.
You sir are a legend! Just did this. I will say.. I mounted the front back on and misaligned the face and the drum wouldn’t spin.. so worth checking you aligned it correctly.. I’m not a smart Manx
Excellent! This is great for the off-grid community too! I follow a few of those types of channels. I will recommend this video to them. Thank you Jay! Have a great weekend! 😂🤣 Love the jokes!
Thank you! Yes, off-grid folks often have everything in propane so converting things is probably nothing new to them. May you have a wonderful rest of the weekend as well!! Good to know that some of my audience actually enjoys the dad jokes at the end too. 😄😇
Hello 👋 Hello 👋 good buddy Jay my number one best friend good to see you my friend I was just thinking about you earlier and now I got to see your new video. I just did the same thing probably a month ago at my brother's house he bought a new gas dryer and it was for natural gas and I had to change the orfices and convert it to propane gas. When he got his at Lowes it didn't have them with it even though the directions said so ..he went back to Lowes and they gave it to him..that's a very good video for people who want to learn how to do it good buddy...I hope you all are doing well and enjoying life to the fullest 😊..it's beautiful 😍 weather here I've been mowing it grows so fast this time of year here..tell everyone I said hello 👋 good buddy and give them a hug for me I love you all like family 👪 😊 Jay. Today I'm working on a windmill project I've had it for 20 plus years it is just for looks but anyway the fan blades have all broken off and I am making new blades and a fan for it. Take care buddy and God bless you my dear friend and God bless 🙌 your family 👪 🙏 ❤️ jay...good to see you this made my day ❤️ 😊.
Aloha 🤙 aloha 🤙 my friend!! What a coincidence that you just converted a gas dryer as well! We both did the job for our siblings too. 😄 Life is going great, no big changes here, still seeking the Lord and learning a lot of new things. Glad to hear that the weather on your side of the world has been beautiful! That always lifts the spirit doesn't it? Fast growing grass is a small price to pay. I'll pass on the greetings and the hugs! 🙂 The windmill project sounds fun! What if you build some cool things like this and sell them on Craigslist? Not as much for the money as to bring people joy and do something you enjoy doing. I hope you are staying healthy over there, may God abundantly bless you as well my friend!! thank you for all of your videos! Ive learned alot the last week trying to troubleshoot my AC unit not turning on but my furnace turns on. I turn on the AC and manually push the plunger in and the ac fan turns on, but wont stay on the second i depress the plunger. Theres no volatge coming in to the contactor coils. I did use sandpaper to the contactors too. The coil is not rusty and neither is the capacitor or mushroomed. When everything is on, theres 240v coming into the contactor bottom 2 terminals, and theres 240v coming into the bottom left and top left terminals, but no power coming into the bottom right and top right terminals. I checked ohms on the coils and its 17ohms. Thermostat wires are drawing all the power it needs, but the issue is when i check the control board, theres enough voltage being drawn from all other terminals except when i check the voltage from R-Y it shows .44volts (and weirdly, when i pull the fuse in the outside disconnect box but turn on the thermostat to on AC, the R-Y terminals read 28v). Checked the voltage at the splice atop my furnace for thermostat wires and they read 28v. The only thing i can think of is theres a bad thermo wire somewhere between the control board and the ac unit. I inspected the wires outside, and nothing seems chewed, and i also pulled the wire nuts off and checked for continuity and they are beeping, but the only one not beeping is the white common wire spliced with the yellow high pressure switch wire i believe. theres also 17 ohms between the two contactor coils as well. I checked the power at the service disconnext at the outside unit and theres 240v coming in, but i noticed the bottom right contact is loose and when i check the bottom right and top left contacts, it only reads 50v. the bottom left and top right reads 120v. Can you please fill me in on where to look next and figure out why im not getting any power to the coils?

Hello! Just subscribed recently and I have a A/C question for you. My outside unit will turn off before cooling the house down to temp but the blower stays on. Whenever restart the AC at the thermostat, the blower kicks on but the outside compressor/fan will stay off. The only way I can get it to attempt to start up on its own is by disconnecting the thermostat completely and rebooting the Vivint security system. Then I’ll go outside and give the fan a little spin to get it to cool. Fuse inside the blower isn’t blown. I haven’t opened up the electrical panel outside to check the capacitor or contactor. But those should be alright since the unit will still start up right? Update: outside fan turns off while compressor is still running and start heating the house. My guess is the compressor will overheat and cut off without the fan. What could cause the fan motor to stop?
Lucky you , we the white North (Ontario) it’s illegal to convert propane to natural gas by YOURSELF , couldn’t buy the kit anywhere but have to hire the licensed contractor to do it , it means $$$$$$$$ !
FYSA: the smaller orifice for the LP gas has nothing to do with pressure, it is because LP gas has more than twice the BTUs of natural gas so less gas is required for the same amount of burn time.
Clear thorough instructions, good explanations, great video quality, no silly fluff. Truly top notch, well done sir.

Hello whats the part #?
So this was a electric dry rt ? At first or no
It was natural gas at first.
Most appliances you buy will come with a conversion kit in them.
Lucky you , we the white North (Ontario) it’s illegal to convert propane to natural gas by YOURSELF , couldn’t buy the kit anywhere but have to hire the licensed contractor to do it , it means $$$$$$$$ !
Oh wow, they really squeeze whatever they can out of you over there huh? Bought out politicians likely..
I wish you would have showed both ways everything is apart and I have the other (two coil) NO directions came with the kit????
So I don't need to replace whole gas valve. I can just replace the orifice.
Yes. No need to replace the whole valve. Almost all gas appliances come with an option to convert from gas to propane if needed.
