    This highly motivates me into saving up for a van instead of a small trailer. Youre reasoning on finding a parkingspot made me realise that it's more efficient to van-up than trailer-up. Thanks for your insights on this! My audio-setup is smaller than what you have in your van. So this video fits my needs!

    Here's a cool idea idea I did whenever I had to stack cases by myself. Either a sturdy hang point in the ceiling or two crank stands and a piece of truss. Rig up a manual chain hoist with two slings/spansets and you should be good for some effortless rigging. May be a little investment, but you'll save your back doing more solo gigs.

    • @drummahboijosh
      @drummahboijosh Місяць тому

      And if you use the crank stands and truss idea, it'll be something you can take to gigs where you'll need to stack and unstack cases.
      Biggest con? It's an extra thing to set up haha

      At the last company I worked at, we had an electric winch on the ceiling, that we used to stack cases, up to 3 high. And it makes love so much easier. The things are actually quite inexpensive, around 100-200 bucks.

    Love the videos, your job seems super fun. Would you ever do a full gear breakdown, and/or a full cost breakdown and earnings, if you wouldn't mind sharing that?

    Great video. I always wonder that you work with only EV ZLX tops. I do also all my gigs with EV but with the ETX tops and subs. Never tried out the ZLX but they seem to do a perfect job.

    Nice van, but for reference the only difference in SOOW and SJOOW is the 600v rating, the jacket is thicker and more oil resistant. SJOOW is a less thick jacket rated at 300 volts. SJOOW is much easier to gaff tape down when needed.

    • @SilverCreekAudio
      @SilverCreekAudio  Місяць тому +1

      Spot on about the rating and jacket. SO cable it my preferred choice! Thanks for watching!

    Whats the go to AC temp in the van during a Texas summer? Once I did the Fahrenheit to Celsius conversion I see why this hurt to make. Great video

    • @SilverCreekAudio
      @SilverCreekAudio  Місяць тому +1

      Temp goes to Lo and fan speed to high. Unfortunately, it takes quite a while to cool down the van when the temp gets above 100 degrees, but in the winter it's perfect! Thanks for watching man!

    Man, if you think this is easy, just wait till you have your partition in, and you can just truck pack, and throw a couple straps at the back, rather than having to screw around strapping each case to the floor 👍🏼

    • @SilverCreekAudio
      @SilverCreekAudio  28 днів тому +1

      Ah, the joys of strapping cases to the floor! Thanks for watching man!

    Nice van - no questions. However I think you’re still wasting a lot of usable space. You definitely need to get a wall between the storage area and driver/passenger seat. Some other people would load a full line-array system for 5000 people in such a van 😅

    • @SilverCreekAudio
      @SilverCreekAudio  Місяць тому

      Spot on about the partition and I guess I have room to grow into it! Fan of your channel and thanks for watching!
