    Just watched your previous version and this upgrade is MASSIVE! Definitely inspired a new rack build for me! The case is amazing! I hope I can get one in the UK

      They are a bit pricey, but they work well!

    Really neat! Love the efficiency of the workflow and the tidiness of the build!

    Awesome video, quick question. How are you using the warm audio bus compressor and what benefits does it provide for FOH mixing? Keep up the good work!

      I use this bus comp on my LR bus. It really helps to tighten and glue the mix together. It helps out a lot with mix control when I mix bands I have never heard before. Additionally, the warm
      Audio bus comp has Cinemag transformers in it to help add warmth back to the mix. Even when the compressor is not engaged, I’ll leave the transformers in. It’s subtle, but I miss it when I don’t have it. Trying to figure out a way to make a video on it.

    Hey man nice rig. I'm doing something similar with the 6U version plus a mixer with IEMs and a wireless mic. I don't know if you've seen the Sonnet Rackmac Mini, but it's essentially a one space plate that secures the mac mini chassis in a sandwich you screw together. I also opted for one of those shallow lower profile Tripp Lite PDU power conditioners that I threw on the back of my rack under my patch panel, freeing up another space on the front side. All depends on where you like the power switch and/or having the voltage readout. Gained a sub, keep it up man!

      Thanks for the comment! The next step is getting a smaller power conditioner and moving it to the back. I almost got a rack mac but then I couldn’t get the interface next to it. The Velcro has worked way better than I thought. That Mac mini does not love.

    Killer concept man. I watched your first iteration of this and I was inspired. This is just really cool. The mounts for the monitor and the mic! SICK!
    I'm confused slightly. What are the connections from the mini to the monitor? Are you running an HDMI for the display and a USB A to USB C for the power?

    • @BrianBondAudio
      @BrianBondAudio  7 днів тому

      Thanks for watching! So the monitor technically only needs USB C for power and video but I don’t have a full feature USB C port on my Mac mini so I’m using a USB A to C for power, and a HDMI to mini HDMI for video. Those little blocks at the end are just 180° turnarounds so that way the cables aren’t sticking out the side. Keeps it cleaner and less chance of them breaking.

    This is awesome! I've been thinking about a travel setup like this for recording musicians on the go for some time now. Do you think the case depth is useful or could you get away with a shallow case ?

    • @BrianBondAudio
      @BrianBondAudio  Місяць тому +2

      I like the depth. Personally, I wouldn’t want to much shallower. I believe the 2u StudioFlyer is a bit more shallow.

    Could you add a link to the open sound meter app?

    So the display is the Motu software?

      Hey! The software you are seeing in the display is Open Sound Meter.
