Crazy part of this album was it was recorded by one band,mixed and engineered for release...then Coverdale sacked that band to bring in another band to play the songs on tour.. as far as I can remember the original band,due to contractual clauses,never received royalties from the album. Wanna hear a funny story about David Cloverdale and a band mate? In the late 80s I drove Taxi on Long Island, NY. (The stories I could tell...) Anyhow, I got a pickup out of the Garden City Hotel. These two guys with big hair come skipping through the lobby and get in my car going to a local Indian restaurant. There were 2 station I set on the AM radio... the local Rock station WBAB and a classical station. A commercial came on for Bands that were playing at the Jones Beach Theater (on the water)... I went to change the station... "No... we want to hear whose playing..." I was told...it was then I realized it was David Cloverdale in the back seat. Though he requested me to pick them up... the dispatch sent me to Laguardia Airport, purposefully to let a coworker get the call... ending up going to Tower Records... getting autogrraps... etc... But I'm not bitter or anything...

Tawny Kitaen, was the dancer in the video and was the wife of the lead singer of Whitesnake, David Coverdale . Tawney died when she was 59, of natural causes.
He was a great vocalist in Deep Purple.

"Is this love" is just a ballad, "here i go again" is originally from their album "saints & sinners" , but this version is from their album "1987 " on this album were 2 re-recorded tracks from "saints & sinners" this song and "crying in the rain"
and whitesnake had 2 phases the more bluesrock phase at the beginning , and then changing more to aor rock for the us market starting wit the album slide it in.
but they are a genius band, no matter which phase . and Mr. coverdale is one the voices in rock.

The festival of all hair bands happens this weekend in Columbia, MD. Its called the M3 Rock Festival. It happens annually around the same time. Whitesnake has been one of the headliners. This weekends bigger headliners are as follows: Queensryche, Stephen Pearcy of Ratt, Quiet Riot, Also Nova, Bret Michaels of Poison, Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, Night Ranger, Stryper, Y&T, and Faster Pussycat. Crazy part of this album was it was recorded by one band,mixed and engineered for release...then Coverdale sacked that band to bring in another band to play the songs on tour.. as far as I can remember the original band,due to contractual clauses,never received royalties from the album.
The brunette Goddess is Tawny Kitaen...her beauty was a gift from God to behold....RIP.
I heard this a million times on the radio as a kid, and it was just a Whitesnake song. Then after about my 20th breakup as an adult, I realized this was my autobiography. 😂
Saw them half a dozen times in the early 80's including the Reading festival in '81 with Rory Gallagher and UFO. What a top weekend that was! Three of the most incredible live acts ever!

Anyhow, I got a pickup out of the Garden City Hotel. These two guys with big hair come skipping through the lobby and get in my car going to a local Indian restaurant.
There were 2 station I set on the AM radio... the local Rock station WBAB and a classical station.
A commercial came on for Bands that were playing at the Jones Beach Theater (on the water)... I went to change the station... "No... we want to hear whose playing..." I was told...it was then I realized it was David Cloverdale in the back seat.
Though he requested me to pick them up... the dispatch sent me to Laguardia Airport, purposefully to let a coworker get the call... ending up going to Tower Records... getting autogrraps... etc...
But I'm not bitter or anything...
"Still Of The Night" shows his vocal prowess.
He was in Deep Purple years before Whitesnake. He was performing before Bon Jovi.
