I can only imagine the letdown of hiking in the heat but knowing you have a cold lake to jump into, only to find you don't. Would have to be crushing!
Water, toothpaste, water. Anyone that doesnt do it that way is a maniac. Over for the TP.
Old man beard is a great fire starter if you need … we have that up where we are
My husband is hiking about a week behind you guys by himself. (Aka Trash Man/The Machine). Great job from one nurse to another. Welcome to our home state!
We will be bringing trail magic to Mt Thielsen/Crater Lake around July 25. If you are all there let me know what you guys need.
Did he catch them up yet?
@@andrewforrest3969 my husband crossed into Washington two days ago. He is doing really well.
OMG I’m so happy to see you traveling with Lila and their friend. You made my day with the tp/tp discussion.
Cory you add highlights to the trail that you opened up. But the hiking group is still amazing 🤩 love you guys. Payday is coming up will try to send some money so you can eat.
SEMPER FI
Thanks. Keep on trucking. Safe journeys. ✌️👊
I’m a professional toilet paper replacer guy 😆 and it’s definitely UNDER. And gotta wet the toothbrush first in order to have water under the toothpaste. Now my day is complete, all important questions have been answered.
On the Toothbrush question: I rinse the toothbrush, put the toothpaste and put some more water on it! Lol 😂 Toilet paper: over! You guys totally crack me up!
Prepare to blow your mind with a third option. After applying the appropriate amount of toothpaste to the brush, sip a bit of water, but don't swallow, and then insert the brush into your moist mouth! No water wasted!
Great video! Fun to see all of you together having a great time.
Mosquitoes will be horrendous for you this year unfortunately. They are probably 10 times worse than a normal year. Last year's heat with the late rain and snow this year have created record numbers of mosquitoes in Oregon and Washington. They should start to die off in a couple of weeks fortunately. One hiker on Mt Hood got 31 bites in a 24 hour period with Deet on! All this to say, protect yourselves and take care.
Hey guys! I solo hiked this section, Hyatt Lake to Fish Lake August of '20. And your footage is bringing me back! I stayed at that same shelter. I just moved to Florida and I miss those mountains so much! Have a blast!
For years I never put water on my toothbrush or toothpaste, I just put the toothpaste on the brush and started brushing BUT, just recently I put the toothpaste on the brush and then run it under the faucet to wet it and it was incredibly better. Of course everyone knows to rinse your mouth with beer.
Before AND after. And over, never under.
Great video👍🤙
my maid always does tp over, because she folds the end to make a pretty display for me. toothbrush with toothpaste no water, because i put a little water in my mouth before i brush. the water level at Hyatt lake reasoning made no sense, because there would still be leeches in the water regardless of water level.
Dry toothbrush and TP over the top. I used to wet it, but felt like I was less likely to dribble on myself if I used a dry brush.
POISON OAK REMEDY suds up the affected areas with LYE SOAP... Bar Type. Let it set for 10 minutes. Rinse WELL... REPEAT. In two or three days it's all gone and the itching stops immediately. I had it from my ankles to my shoulders and stopped it dead in it's tracks with this method that I learned from an elderly woman. For that one I did this two days in a row.
Both. Over. Love you guys. California Joanna
In Central Cal, we called it Elephant Snot.
Brown Mountain Shelter!
Wet the brush first, then push toothpaste into bristles. Perfect amount every time and even spread of paste, enjoy !
I’m with Cory. Hi from Fruita co. Stay healthy and hi to the group
after! and over ;)
Rinse the tooth brush before(in case of foreign objects like bugs) putting the tooth paste on. It seems like Sticks may catch up to you. Good Luck, Rick
Toothpaste: I typically wet the brush first. No real reason, I’ve never put any thought into whether I’ll die on that hill.
TP: totally indifferent. I’ve always thought it was a ridiculous debate. I just throw it on the thing without paying any attention to which way it ends up facing 😁
Wet the brush before and after. Hey, you'll be going by where I live before too much longer. I live outside of Sisters near Redmond. Let me know if I can be of some help!
The answer is wet toothbrush, add toothpaste, then wet everything 😂
@2:38.....i had a 32 yr. old Cougar track and catch me when i was 18.....She taught me Everything i needed to know 🤣.....and then some!!!
Dry toothbrush - same as Corey,..!! 👍
I feel like wetting the toothbrush is something that people just have learned. It’s not as if the mouth isn’t wet already. Or the toothpaste - just like Cal said, right,..? (Unless you’re medicating) 🪥🦷
Hyatt Lake runs a shuttle from the trailhead. I did A and B last year and I loved the pizza at the resort. The beer selection, by Oregon standards, was trash, however.
Water first! Over on the tp. 🤣
You had some serious discussion about toilet paper and toothpaste. 😂 Lol
Never knew there was any other way than water first THEN toothpaste. 🤔 Think I'll stick with it - it's always worked well.
I put brush in my mouth then dip it in baking soda
haha, TP over, unless you have a cat then under (they can't unwind it when under - just spins). Wet brush with toothpaste.... activates the paste maybe...
Def water before and after putting tooth paste on and super bummed about Hyatt. It used to be such a good fishin/swimming spot but its predicted to never be the same again :( the old mans beard moss is awesome right!? :)
I want an update on Cory's socks. those look pretty dope.
I would rock that shit
Oh, the toilet paper goes OVER, not under…there should B no debate here, lol!
Hey, let me know when you guys get close to White Pass! We are locals and have been following you guy's from the start...Would love to hook you guys up with some trail magic....any special requests? :)
Toohtpaste first then water. Toilet paper: Over. I rinse the toothbrush when I'm finished, not before I use it. Also, I've been curious to know what those words are that you have tatooed above each knee and on at least one of your wrists. Enquiring minds want to know. Maybe you can address that question in a future video?
Wet brush, then add toothpaste, brush teeth then rinse toothbrush. Toilet paper goes under to keep cats from playing with it
Welcome to Boregon! Night hike to burn through those miles?
I wet the toothbrush before applying the paste…I’m a wetter!!
Parents, outdoor potty training is critical for your children. Level up to LNT,even better.
Our Mother will thank you
Water over the paiste. Side mote: toilet roll goes over. ✌🏻
Hey y’all! Toilet paper over….my husband won’t use the expensive whitening toothpaste I like so we have our own tubes….he uses cheap ass stuff from this place that sells overstocked crap. He only uses a pea size amount. Some bullshit he says the American dental asssociation recommends. I take that tube of crest brilliance and squirt directly into my mouth at leas a good 1.5 inches of paste then like Corey start brushing with my dry toothbrush and it feels so good. I am constantly getting complimented on how white my 69 year old pearly whites are, or at least before covid and masks became mandated. I love Truman.
H2o 1st tp, over
Wet it after toothpaste!!
water, toothpaste, water. then rinse the brush vwery well and dry it off. never get put up wet. religiously!!!
TP is Over, but if you get those 2 cats you're talking about, you will change your tune
But when 2 cougars drag their catches to the campsite, they're satisfied and everyone else is safe.
Why is Corey’s pack so big?! No way y’all still have bear cans in there.
The massage clip.. I mean.. isn't that like taking a huge bite out of a sandwich and speaking with your mouth full on camera? In both cases I'm like, "I didn't need to see that" lol
Water than toothpaste
Not moss. It’s lichen.
Toothpaste then water and over on the toilet paper!!!
Seriously? Always water the brush 1st!!!! Never water a tooth brush with paste on it, darn it!
No water on the toothbrush, apparently it. takes away from it's abrasive job if you add water.
And what about saliva? Ruins the effectiveness, right?
Taco Bell? Are you nuts?
So you got a 6/10.I guess you need to work on your patient skills.Don't be so hard on them.
Gotta opt out on toothbrush protocol. Discussion is way too serious.
Boo. 👎👎 toilet paper consensus is just wrong!!
