- In both Hungary and Serbia, incumbent leaders Viktor Orban and Aleksandar Vucic who are supportive of Putin won re-election. However, the two countries are surprisingly leaning towards the West. Given Belgrade’s loyalty to Moscow, it came as quite a surprise that Serbia supported a United Nations resolution against Russia. Meanwhile, Hungary is struggling to strike a balance between the West and Russia. Orban has condemned Russia's attack on Ukraine but has avoided personal criticism of President Vladimir Putin. Also russia destroyed as much of the orthodox religion as they could during soviet times. The soviet union was basically russia surrounded by their force imposed slave states. When the SU collapsed all their slave states left and most applied for NATO membership to protect them from their former oppressor.

1.Kosovo war lasted from 1998-1999, it did not happen in the "mid 90's" or from 1995-1999 as timestamp near beginning suggests. There was unrest in the region before that but not an open conflict. Even checking Wikipedia would have provided you with correct chronological order.
2. Hungary is mostly catholic (not orthodox) and definitely not a slavic country.
3. Hungary is not Bulgaria

Just a tip regarding kosovo - Serbian repression over Kosovo was something that had roots way before 1998. Communist regime had to encounter this in mid 60-ties, and later at the end of 80-ties, both time successfully failing and consequently sweeping this issue under the carpet. My guess is that everlasting mythology present nowday in Serbia does the trick. Back in 1389 Serbia lost a battle in Kosovo against Otoman empire and that is why those historical complex and trauma still takes toll...

Hungary has been giving Ukraine fuel and other non lethal support and pretty much agreed to give lethal support if Ukraine agrees to some autonomy promises regarding its tiny Hungarian minority. Hungary is not Orthodox Christian but predominantly Catholic and Protestant,

Admission to the UN does not depend on the Security Council, where Russia has a veto, but on the General Assembly.

What surprises more is Hungarian loyalty to Russia if we remember dark years from 1945-1991 spent under soviet pressure behind iron curtain and Russian tanks rolling over Hungary in 1956. On the other hand - what links Serbia? Soviet army took a significant role in final battles back in 1944/1945 pushing German troops backwards hand by hand with Yugoslav partisans, but seems that behavior of soviet soldiers and their mentality has not change over the years. There has been considerable number of rapes by them in Belgrade and Serbia which could not be tolerated even by local authorities. Big player turned to be a BIG SHIT, same as nowdays...Bucha...etc...

Even SK military always updated almost same as NATO standard every year while NK seems stuck in the 50s & still using Vietnam era arsenals. So seems NK Military definitely cannot out strength in conventional warfare, they're probably the 1st that will use nukes in modern warfare. After nukes, then only conventional forces will mobilizing fast to wipe out the remaining survivors. At least this is my personal opinion.

Why would Hungary be seen as Slavic or Orthodox Christian? You need to research more. Hungary is definitely Christian but mostly catholuc and then protestant...very small percentage is of the orthodox denomination and not so much Slavic either.
You're mistaken! Hungarians are neither Slavs nor Orthodox Christians. Hungarians are members of the Hun ethnicity and predominantly Roman Catholic, with a variety of other Christian denominations present in the country.

If Europe had several more "Orbans", it would have been an amazing place that runs smoothly and watches its own interest and business. Admiration to Hungary. The video is so wrong that it is necessary to comment. First and foremost, the ties between Serbia and Russia date back long before 1999. The Red Army helped liberate Europe, including Serbia, from Nazism and fascism. The Russian Empire helped Serbia in the First World War, as well as long before that through diplomatic channels in order for Serbia to regain its independence from the Ottomans. Secondly, the NATO pact intervened everywhere in the former Yugoslavia. Everyone who was against Serbia received support from America and the West, except that the brutal bombing in 1999 was a key point, which opened a Pandora's box and created various problems today. The suffering of the Serbian people throughout history is terrible, through the Ottoman savagery, the First and Second World Wars, and finally the Yugoslav wars and the war against the NATO pact, only to be branded as genocide and how it is evil. Third, you mixed Hungary and Bulgaria at one point, Serbia is Orthodox, as is Bulgaria, but Hungary is Catholic. It is true that they have similar flags, but at least try not to be so wrong and unprofessional. 22 percent of the Serb population died in the First World War. 27 million people in the Soviet Union died in World War II, mostly Russians. To say that they justify crimes under the pretext of suffering is a heinous lie. Please like the comment so other people can see the truth in relation to this video.

From what I've read, Victor Orban presented himself as closely aligned with the West all through his election campaign for Hungary's Presidency, and did a complete 180 degrees the day he took office. Still that should not have surprised anyone who has followed his previous public policy. Hungary should just be watched, though. Europe is compresed of many individual countries, and not all should be expected to have too much more in common than their geographical location.
