I just farmed the first room over and over until I got the mats to make first piece of the set. Only took about four or 5 runs, I own this place now. Killed the Valkyrie and now 2 I’m 2 greater crest of flames away from a having a full lvl 8 set.
One advice is don’t collect the mist echos from the first room. You are gonna come back here anyway, and if you open them later you will get more rewards. I usually open them after coming back to the first room after waiting for a long while. Usually gives me 2000 echos per box.
@@a.h.2138 you can't double loot once you have killed all the enemies in one room and opened all of its chests, the enemies won't appear the second time you enter the room after completing the lap
Guys, HELP ME! My last save was In Niflheim with "Give me a Challenge" difficulty. I want to change it to "Give me a Story". The problem is, whenever I change it, I get sent to my last save WITH "Give me a Challenge" difficulty! Please, I'm a human being like you guys, I'm not some guy asking for help and you can just ignore me. I NEED this armour. And I can't get it without your help. Please, I'll be waiting for any single response.
All you want to know: -A maze is square with 3 special crossings, first in one of them there will be Valkyrie, if you beat it - in all 3 gonna be normal enemies -Only in that 'special crossings' chests you can find Anchor of Fog -There's gonna be more Mist Echoes in the chests if you gonna get them more and more -If you die in the maze you lose all progress (Valkyrie, resources...) -The most of Echoes is in Norn chest so if you can do it, open it as final chest, so you can get even 4,000 Echoes! -Always have resurrection stone -If you need Anchor of Fog and you get it, don't risk every fight -If you see a witch ar start of maze, get back and start again, could be more inside, and it's take you long time to beat them I hope I helped. I killed the nilfheim valkyrie then died by a one shot trap on the way out then got the resources from the lost items section in the dwarf shop so don’t stress about losing your Valkyrie items
To all those people disliking the video saying its easy difficulty: Its a farming guide! Its meant to optimize the amount of stuff you get in the least possible time, why would you be farming in harder difficulties if it can be done easier, faster, and more efficiently in this difficulty...
Because when you pick the give me God of War difficulty. There is no going back. No lowering the difficulty. Lol so kinda stuck on this crazy hard difficulty and now I need to run back and forth through this mist over and over. Beat lvl 4 of muspelheim to get to the 6th. And kill 6 more valkyries. All super challenging shit left. Going to take awhile to finish end game stuff on the hardest difficutly

Steve Silverstone yeah....I'm on sigrun now....seen so many people beat her on UA-cam and Idk if I will ever do this.....I beat every god of war on the hardest difficulty except the first one when you fight hundreds of your shadow self....I had to lower difficulty for that. But now Idek, this is so insane. I can only knock off 3 of her 16 health bars. I can't seem to know when it's the aoe blast. The blind. Or the projectile. This literally seems impossible to me
because u cant optimize the time when ur playing on give me god of war.... the creatures dont die as fast as you think and they are much more aggressive. So this guy wont be able to finish 1 or two rooms. hell after using just 1 heavy runic the ogre goes down......
Sameh Hassaballa hey I've actually learned you don't need to fight if you don't want. I mean I usually fight. But you can just run past and collect the chests that are in between the fights. Just need to make sure to run back out past all the enemies lol
Chris Baker maaaan them wolvers are a hassle to deal with. I try to lure them into the traps to get them out quickly as possible. The Valkyries are by far the worst to fight in the game
I sold all my steel things you get from boxes because i was so pissed having to go do a million runs to get the three realm tears, i was so relieved then i realized i needed those resources to upgrade my valkyrie armor set. Right before i knew i had to go back to that god awful map i just left the game and i have never looked back since
For those complaining about the type of enemy you get in Nifleheim then just go back to Sindri. The enemy type resets every time you leave the mist. Should make things a little easier without lowering the difficulty. I would do this at the start of my runs to make sure that I got mostly draugr throughout the maze.
Upon clearing the first room, don’t open the chests. Go through the maze and when you come back to the first room the unopened chest will be worth more (because the longer you stay in the maze the more loot you receive) and you won’t have any enemies to worry about because you already killed them.
Just did the same. Owned it first try. The first 4 I think I randomly did the hardest ones, now they are cake. Also, helps if you play Dark Souls 3 before this. Makes valks look like kittens
TIP FOR WITCHES - make them the first enemy you target, immediately spam w atreus’ arrows then barehand attack a few times! They will be stunned in about 6 seconds and then you can finishing move them
"How is he doing so much damage??" He's playing on the easiest difficulty. To some extent I wish the developers would alter the rewards for playing on higher difficulties (obviously you can't change the "give me God of War" difficulty without consequence) versus playing on the easier ones. I have been playing on the second hardest difficulty throughout the game and when I reached this area I found myself looking for strategies to get through it easier, and watching this video I kept asking myself what I was doing wrong when it came down to sheer damage. Even switching to the same runes used in the video I still wasn't even coming close to the damage output in this video with fully upgraded weapons and runes. Then I saw the comments and realized that it's on the lowest difficulty, I do think that the title should be changed to at least add that this is being played on a low difficulty, if not the lowest.

Starting Axis Invest in Ivaldis Armour and level up your runic attacks. Make sure you go in with full rage bar and a resurrection stone (I reccomend the one which gives you full rage, you can beat her pretty ass up and get some health from it. After that the valkyrie is easy peasy lemon squeezy
If you're wondering how Pyx got so lucky with no witch encounters, it's that enemys aren't randomized. There are 3 sets of spawns, which tell you what boss you're going to fight in the middle. I forgot the details, but for example if you encounter Revenants you will fight a Dark Elf. If you get wolves, you will fight the Ogre like in the video. And so on. It's a welcome feature since you know what you're going up against. Not like you wouldnt still get yo ass beat lmao.
This is supposed to be a tutorial of a particular segment in the game, not a demonstration of skills or challenging gameplay. I'm not understanding why people are complaining about the difficulty. If it's useless to you and/or not to your liking, you don't need to be here. If you would rather view challenging, engaging gameplay, farming or otherwise, there are other videos that serve that purpose. Or feel free to upload one yourself. The intent here with lowered difficulty is to make farming fast, efficient and less tedious. Some people aren't as competent, don't have as much patience and don't have the capacity to figure out certain strategies on their own, which is why videos like this exist. Understand the intent before making a judgment call.
I'll definitely do this on easy mode. I discovered this last night on hard mode, I don't wanna waste my time doing this over and over just because I'm forced to do such a boring thing inside a toxic maze for a trophy. This is not amusing at all -_- Thanks!

One thing that helped me to get higher yields was to start doing a two-lap approach. The more chests you open before leaving the maze, the greater the chance that the next chest you open will give you more mist echoes. Therefore, you get a higher yield by saving the legendary chests and Nornir checks until after you open the lower-yield chests (the wooden chests and stone coffins). So, I would do one lap where I (1) kill all the enemies; (2) open the wooden chests and stone coffins to get my chest count higher (opening the wooden chests before the stone coffins if they are located in the same area) and (3) set the rune markers in the three corners to unlock the Nornir chest at home base. This would only get me about 1000-2000 mist echoes, but I'd have opened up a fair number of chests. Then, with all the enemies dead, I could do a second lap without leaving the maze in about 3 minutes or less. In the second lap, I would just open all the legendary chests and the two Nornir chests. The second lap is essentially time-neutral, because all you're doing is opening chests that give you additional time (and activating your talisman that gives you extra time), so I usually ended the second lap with the same amount of time left on the meter as when I started it. The legendary chests are predictably located, with exactly one legendary chest in each chamber, and never any legendary chests between chambers, so there's not much hunting involved on the second lap. This approach maximized my yield on the legendary and Nornir chests, and usually resulted in consistently getting at least 8-12k mist echoes on easy mode every run without having to sell any of the rarer materials. In contrast, a one-lap approach opening the chests in whatever order they came often produced a yield of only 5-8k mist echoes without selling the rarer materials.
on the easiest difficulty I usually get between 7-9k (not selling materials) by opening every single chest as I see them. saves time as well doing it all in one go.. and we're measuring at mists per hour, so time matters. doing it on the second lowest setting gave me 14k, and the enemies still died quickly - except for the traveller who took a couple of dangerous runic attacks (as they don't get staggered)

My easy tip: Dark Elves:Stun Kill(Light Arrows) Revenant:Shoot once, Heavy Runic Attack with high Stun Wulvers:Stun and AOE runic attacks Traveller:Same as wulvers, but change Stun to damage Nightmares:Axe Throw Draugr:AOE attack Wolf:Blades Of Chaos do well Ogres:Stun and ride them Others: Blades Of Chaos is good for crowd control. Leviathan Axe for single target(Ogres, Travellers, etc.( Use light arrows for quick Stun(fully upgraded) Of course wear the mist armor set Use enchantment that increases sprint speed That's it??….... Sorry if I forgot something, feel free to reply
If you guys keep getting wulvers everytime, make sure you spam Atreus's Crows holding R2/Square , it will lock the wulvers and you can kill them easily
Its honestly easier and less time consuming to just start a new game plus on easy. It took me over 20 hours to get only 2 Anchor of fog items on GMGOW whereas it only took me about 1 hour to get all 3 on easy.
Your video helped tremendously. I'm still struggling with the two chest a little due to running low on mist energy but I closed all the tears and got all the chests. Nifelheim isn't so bad if you follow your method just have to make sure you don't die.
Don’t know if you’re still struggling with this but getting any of Ivaldi’s armor decreases how quickly the gauge goes down. Also, once you unlock ivaldis workshop the second legendary chest gives like an eye of niflheim or smtn? It’s a socket that also keeps you going longer. Ivaldi’s armor is also one of the best in the game. Hope this helps 👍
I'm glad he did the actual video because I would of never figured out that you can sell stuff for mist echoes. I was getting tired of running to the first area and then running back to base like I'm playing football. " Kratos has the mist echoes ... He's running from the wulvers ... to the 20 ... to the 10 ... the 5 ... touchdown! Hes done it again! Only 200 mist echoes ... "
Very nice. My best run is 9000 without killing the Valkyrie but before that I farm mist echoes to craft the armor sindri sells, the main perk is health regeneration and if you add enchantments that increase time duration for the mist you can run through without going below half on the mist health bar. That helped me a lot hopefully that can help someone else
Brandon Wilson something has to be wrong. I play on normal and on the first part my pink bar is half way down. All these guys upload showing them with the best of the best armor.
I play on normal and the max I’ve ever gotten was 11k once you kill the valk, you’ll never get her again. I loot every chest in every room and that’s the max I’ve gotten. Average about 8k a run though
I was just going to ask what enchantments and or armor should you use or where to get them because I have the Valkyrie armor but every armor I’ve used so far I am nowhere near what this person has. The most drains me quickly
When you've stacked up tons of mist echoes and tons of other materials, and that raging red Wulver that can counter everything appears ( I swear the valk queen is easier than that guy)
The thing this guide doesn't tell you is that if you sell items you will have a hard time upgrading your armor because you will then be missing those components. I ended up just downloading a modding tool once I realized this and upgraded all of my armor sets instantly but wasn't planning on modding until I made this mistake watching this video.
Been through the maze a hundred times and finally got all the tears sealed. Never once got over two hundred mists as this video states until closing all the tears, then and only then did it start giving more than 200!!!
That's easy to do when all you already own the best armor and it's already upgraded. All the enemies you fought were green. That's not the case for the majority of us who clicked on this video. We dont have the resources needed for the armor set, much less the upgrades. We need a video that helps beginners take on this place, not a video of someone already maxed out.
The most I get per run is anywhere from 7000 to 9500 mist echoes a run each time and thats going through each area of the place. it also depends on the way the rooms are set up.
I farmed on give me a balanced experience difficulty, once I completed my run with 11000 echoes but didn't notice the giant saw and died . . . . Platinum trophy achieved ! ! Use both heavy runic attacks from the shop, such a breeze to clear the crowd
What armor are you using? If my goal is solely for the trophy, do you recommend spending all on opening the chests or invest in some of the armor while farming?
Collect all Yggdrasil's dews which increase your stats. After retrieving them all you can start newgame+. All your progress it carried over then collect them again
Prob the longest farm in the game, by the time I finally got the second Anchor of Fog, my meter was around its forty percent, I rushed back to the center, I swear I was nearly dead by the time I got there. Less than 5 percent of life left. My heart was beating because these honestly took me forever. I could be mistaken, but the drop chances are increased the further you go. To those just starting out, I recommend unlocking just the first treasure box, you'll get a rune that will help you greatly.
"Oh it's not 'Give Me God of War' difficulty. That does not count." People play games for different reasons. Some people like to run through the story so they choose easy. Some people choose easy or normal because they don't have much luxury of time to play the game. F*cking elitists.
legit, some games I love I've replayed on nightmare. But first run I always do story/easy because I just want to experience the story/game and finish it. I have a hard time finishing games as is, don't need the block of "you gotta git gud, and be 1000% focused while playing at all times or you have to do the whole area over again" fug that crap :) Thanks for respecting us handicapped players xD
Love the challenge of this. At first, it seems very hard, but all you have to do is quickly gather mist echoes to get the axe pommel to help with surviving the mist along with the talisman. After that keep going to get enough resources to craft the armor. That's what I did and it worked out for me. People just want things without putting effort into it. How unsatisfying that must be.
I personally enjoy Niflheim. My main issue is that its very easy for me to lose my direction and sometimes the blade traps kill me due to depth perception issues. Im trying to do a lot of things before completing the story the first time. ive got myself to level 8 gear with 215 str and 187 ruinic. I can complete my trip around the field about 85 percent of the time, deaths coming at my own stupidity now. its also decent stress relief just being able to have constant battles and punching the crap out of enemies :D
This level made me quit the game for over a year because it was so stressful.. Just started playing again so this guide will definitely help but damn, I hate this level so much. Who the hell thought this would be fun? Horrible.

Jehdi I get that, but that's not the objective here. This is about farming for resources or items for this segment of the game. Making the game easier shortens the time to get said resources, some people don't have the patience to sit around & needlessly grind for hours. It's not hard to understand.

So i figured out how to last longer. Your armer have sockets so just fill all the sockets with "perfect artifact of the blight" and you can go round the whole map and probobly half way again in one run. The gauge was barely moving when i did it. Also you could maybe upgrade them too.

The middle chest didn’t spawn for me until I got the first anchor of fog. I got it in a dead end room in the maze. Was a traveler and two wulvers. It was in a gold chest.
Quick way to kill all enemies in an area aswell is to have atraeus upgraded to max with legendary cooldown for arrows Armor and just use stun arrows, along with using your fists for R3 kills
@@imstrongerthanyouthink9966 I'm not a 100% sure. But I think Zeus armor is good for a strength and runic build if you know which types of gems to put in the sockets. And if you upgrade them. You get more socket space. But again. Not 100% sure about that. But worth a shot.

Enemies respawn in the first room when you come back. Also chests. So I'd advise to double loot it.

For those complaining about the type of enemy you get in Nifleheim then just go back to Sindri. The enemy type resets every time you leave the mist. Should make things a little easier without lowering the difficulty. I would do this at the start of my runs to make sure that I got mostly draugr throughout the maze.

Upon clearing the first room, don’t open the chests. Go through the maze and when you come back to the first room the unopened chest will be worth more (because the longer you stay in the maze the more loot you receive) and you won’t have any enemies to worry about because you already killed them.

TIP FOR WITCHES - make them the first enemy you target, immediately spam w atreus’ arrows then barehand attack a few times!
They will be stunned in about 6 seconds and then you can finishing move them

He's playing on the easiest difficulty. To some extent I wish the developers would alter the rewards for playing on higher difficulties (obviously you can't change the "give me God of War" difficulty without consequence) versus playing on the easier ones. I have been playing on the second hardest difficulty throughout the game and when I reached this area I found myself looking for strategies to get through it easier, and watching this video I kept asking myself what I was doing wrong when it came down to sheer damage. Even switching to the same runes used in the video I still wasn't even coming close to the damage output in this video with fully upgraded weapons and runes. Then I saw the comments and realized that it's on the lowest difficulty, I do think that the title should be changed to at least add that this is being played on a low difficulty, if not the lowest.

Starting Axis Invest in Ivaldis Armour and level up your runic attacks. Make sure you go in with full rage bar and a resurrection stone (I reccomend the one which gives you full rage, you can beat her pretty ass up and get some health from it. After that the valkyrie is easy peasy lemon squeezy

If you're wondering how Pyx got so lucky with no witch encounters, it's that enemys aren't randomized. There are 3 sets of spawns, which tell you what boss you're going to fight in the middle. I forgot the details, but for example if you encounter Revenants you will fight a Dark Elf. If you get wolves, you will fight the Ogre like in the video. And so on. It's a welcome feature since you know what you're going up against. Not like you wouldnt still get yo ass beat lmao.
This is supposed to be a tutorial of a particular segment in the game, not a demonstration of skills or challenging gameplay. I'm not understanding why people are complaining about the difficulty. If it's useless to you and/or not to your liking, you don't need to be here.
If you would rather view challenging, engaging gameplay, farming or otherwise, there are other videos that serve that purpose. Or feel free to upload one yourself.
The intent here with lowered difficulty is to make farming fast, efficient and less tedious. Some people aren't as competent, don't have as much patience and don't have the capacity to figure out certain strategies on their own, which is why videos like this exist. Understand the intent before making a judgment call.

One thing that helped me to get higher yields was to start doing a two-lap approach. The more chests you open before leaving the maze, the greater the chance that the next chest you open will give you more mist echoes. Therefore, you get a higher yield by saving the legendary chests and Nornir checks until after you open the lower-yield chests (the wooden chests and stone coffins).
So, I would do one lap where I (1) kill all the enemies; (2) open the wooden chests and stone coffins to get my chest count higher (opening the wooden chests before the stone coffins if they are located in the same area) and (3) set the rune markers in the three corners to unlock the Nornir chest at home base. This would only get me about 1000-2000 mist echoes, but I'd have opened up a fair number of chests. Then, with all the enemies dead, I could do a second lap without leaving the maze in about 3 minutes or less. In the second lap, I would just open all the legendary chests and the two Nornir chests. The second lap is essentially time-neutral, because all you're doing is opening chests that give you additional time (and activating your talisman that gives you extra time), so I usually ended the second lap with the same amount of time left on the meter as when I started it. The legendary chests are predictably located, with exactly one legendary chest in each chamber, and never any legendary chests between chambers, so there's not much hunting involved on the second lap.
This approach maximized my yield on the legendary and Nornir chests, and usually resulted in consistently getting at least 8-12k mist echoes on easy mode every run without having to sell any of the rarer materials. In contrast, a one-lap approach opening the chests in whatever order they came often produced a yield of only 5-8k mist echoes without selling the rarer materials.
on the easiest difficulty I usually get between 7-9k (not selling materials) by opening every single chest as I see them. saves time as well doing it all in one go.. and we're measuring at mists per hour, so time matters.
doing it on the second lowest setting gave me 14k, and the enemies still died quickly - except for the traveller who took a couple of dangerous runic attacks (as they don't get staggered)

Dark Elves:Stun Kill(Light Arrows)
Revenant:Shoot once, Heavy Runic Attack with high Stun
Wulvers:Stun and AOE runic attacks
Traveller:Same as wulvers, but change Stun to damage
Nightmares:Axe Throw
Draugr:AOE attack
Wolf:Blades Of Chaos do well
Ogres:Stun and ride them
Others:
Blades Of Chaos is good for crowd control.
Leviathan Axe for single target(Ogres, Travellers, etc.(
Use light arrows for quick Stun(fully upgraded)
Of course wear the mist armor set
Use enchantment that increases sprint speed

Another tip, open wooden chests, then red then gold. You get a multiplier per chest opened so its better to open the lower chests first
If you guys keep getting wulvers everytime, make sure you spam Atreus's Crows holding R2/Square , it will lock the wulvers and you can kill them easily

Its honestly easier and less time consuming to just start a new game plus on easy. It took me over 20 hours to get only 2 Anchor of fog items on GMGOW whereas it only took me about 1 hour to get all 3 on easy.

Your video helped tremendously. I'm still struggling with the two chest a little due to running low on mist energy but I closed all the tears and got all the chests. Nifelheim isn't so bad if you follow your method just have to make sure you don't die.
Don’t know if you’re still struggling with this but getting any of Ivaldi’s armor decreases how quickly the gauge goes down. Also, once you unlock ivaldis workshop the second legendary chest gives like an eye of niflheim or smtn? It’s a socket that also keeps you going longer. Ivaldi’s armor is also one of the best in the game. Hope this helps 👍

Very nice. My best run is 9000 without killing the Valkyrie but before that I farm mist echoes to craft the armor sindri sells, the main perk is health regeneration and if you add enchantments that increase time duration for the mist you can run through without going below half on the mist health bar. That helped me a lot hopefully that can help someone else

I play on normal and the max I’ve ever gotten was 11k once you kill the valk, you’ll never get her again. I loot every chest in every room and that’s the max I’ve gotten. Average about 8k a run though
I forget to mention that it helps greatly to have some of the enhancements that protect you from the cursed mist

When you've stacked up tons of mist echoes and tons of other materials, and that raging red Wulver that can counter everything appears ( I swear the valk queen is easier than that guy)
The thing this guide doesn't tell you is that if you sell items you will have a hard time upgrading your armor because you will then be missing those components. I ended up just downloading a modding tool once I realized this and upgraded all of my armor sets instantly but wasn't planning on modding until I made this mistake watching this video.

Been through the maze a hundred times and finally got all the tears sealed. Never once got over two hundred mists as this video states until closing all the tears, then and only then did it start giving more than 200!!!
That's easy to do when all you already own the best armor and it's already upgraded. All the enemies you fought were green.
That's not the case for the majority of us who clicked on this video. We dont have the resources needed for the armor set, much less the upgrades. We need a video that helps beginners take on this place, not a video of someone already maxed out.
The most I get per run is anywhere from 7000 to 9500 mist echoes a run each time and thats going through each area of the place. it also depends on the way the rooms are set up.
I farmed on give me a balanced experience difficulty, once I completed my run with 11000 echoes but didn't notice the giant saw and died . . . . Platinum trophy achieved ! !

Collect all Yggdrasil's dews which increase your stats. After retrieving them all you can start newgame+. All your progress it carried over then collect them again
I had so many crafting materials spare that I could trade it at sindri and walked away with 47.000 to get the last two tears done

Prob the longest farm in the game, by the time I finally got the second Anchor of Fog, my meter was around its forty percent, I rushed back to the center, I swear I was nearly dead by the time I got there. Less than 5 percent of life left. My heart was beating because these honestly took me forever. I could be mistaken, but the drop chances are increased the further you go. To those just starting out, I recommend unlocking just the first treasure box, you'll get a rune that will help you greatly.

Love the challenge of this. At first, it seems very hard, but all you have to do is quickly gather mist echoes to get the axe pommel to help with surviving the mist along with the talisman. After that keep going to get enough resources to craft the armor. That's what I did and it worked out for me. People just want things without putting effort into it. How unsatisfying that must be.
I personally enjoy Niflheim. My main issue is that its very easy for me to lose my direction and sometimes the blade traps kill me due to depth perception issues. Im trying to do a lot of things before completing the story the first time. ive got myself to level 8 gear with 215 str and 187 ruinic. I can complete my trip around the field about 85 percent of the time, deaths coming at my own stupidity now. its also decent stress relief just being able to have constant battles and punching the crap out of enemies :D
This level made me quit the game for over a year because it was so stressful.. Just started playing again so this guide will definitely help but damn, I hate this level so much. Who the hell thought this would be fun? Horrible.

Making the game easier shortens the time to get said resources, some people don't have the patience to sit around & needlessly grind for hours. It's not hard to understand.

So i figured out how to last longer. Your armer have sockets so just fill all the sockets with "perfect artifact of the blight" and you can go round the whole map and probobly half way again in one run. The gauge was barely moving when i did it. Also you could maybe upgrade them too.

The middle chest didn’t spawn for me until I got the first anchor of fog. I got it in a dead end room in the maze. Was a traveler and two wulvers. It was in a gold chest.
The chest in the middle spawns after your first completion of the labyrinth and after getting the rune chest inside said labyrinth.
To me, it spawned after i killed the valkirie
Quick way to kill all enemies in an area aswell is to have atraeus upgraded to max with legendary cooldown for arrows Armor and just use stun arrows, along with using your fists for R3 kills

@@imstrongerthanyouthink9966 I'm not a 100% sure. But I think Zeus armor is good for a strength and runic build if you know which types of gems to put in the sockets. And if you upgrade them. You get more socket space. But again. Not 100% sure about that. But worth a shot.

How can your weapons do so much damage? The equipment that I have does not do much damage to the enemies, and I am supposed to have bought everything possible (some improvements ask for materials that I do not know how to get), is it necessary to pass the game several times to get all those materials?

MASTER FRESH oh ok thanks, is that also how he kills all enemies so fast? Because I am playing on give me a challenge and it takes me a million hits to kill them and they hit me twice and I die
