No one can compare to Dimash. No matter how high they can sing. They simply are not Dimash. He is so much more than a vocalist. It is the man behind the voice that is the legend. His spirit and character and profound beauty inside and out. You can’t teach such magic...or explain it. It is what it is. He has no peer.
A person who speaks English listens to a singer from Kazakhstan who sings in French in a Chinese TV show... and he starts to cry. I have nothing to add.

Geez, I still cry on SOS and a few others and SOS has to be like viewing # 350 now. Depending how much it effects the reactor, effects how much it effects me. BUT it's a good cry, not sadness, just feeling Dimash's powerful interpretation of emotions coming through. That is an Artist -- to be able to make you feel like that. But that's why we love him. 🙏🙏🥰💜❤️💙🖤💛🧡🙏

Don’t worry about the tears... we all did that the first time we heard Dimash! He is an incredible performer, makes you feel every song, and renders them perfectly. I hope you listen to more Dimash performances!!! Next one should be “Sinful Passion, Moscow fancam version”. It is out of this world.
I cried for about an hour when they announced his concert in NY, I can not explain what happened to me, I just couldn’t stop crying, I thought I was losing my mind.😁

This SOS was also my intro to Dimash, and I felt tears too. So did a friend when I played it for her. It's not the song, it's that we are alive to witness something miraculous.

Dimash is a 26 yr old, 6’3” tall singer from Kazakhstan w/ vocal range E2 - D8 (6 octaves + 10 semitones). His tessitura is challenging, but he’s described his natural placement as tenor, which he can expand.
His Mom’s an opera & Dad a Pop Singer, famous in Kazakhstan. He’s been been musically educated since 5 yrs, thru present day, (on to his doctorate now). So, he’s trained & proficient in many genres. He speaks 3 languages (2 well) & sings in 12, (plus plays 6 or 7 instruments). He’s so immersed in the music when he preforms, (hard to explain) but, he becomes the music.
All this & he’s a grounded & humble man w/ millions of fans globally, he calls Dears (as we’re dear to him). This was 5 yrs ago, so he’s improved, due to hard work, vocal maturity & natural talent. He’s independent so he maintains control of artistic choices (so we NEVER know what to expect w/ Dimash)! 🤍tica 🇺🇸dear

It’s a song about a man who is suicidal, he’s singing, why do I live, why do I die? He’s wondering what it would be like to see the world from above, what it’s like to be a bird. He wonders why he’s been dealt a bad hand in life. So Dimash definitely conveyed the emotion of the song to you as he does with every song whether it’s in a language you understand or not. He sings in 12 languages including English, so you will hear him in a language you understand at some stage. This performance was four years ago, he’s 26 now and much better (if that’s possible!) He has really developed his lower registers as he has got older. He has been classically trained for 21 years since he was 5 years old. He has 2 university degrees in Classical and Contemporary/Jazz singing and a masters degree in Composition where he received a perfect score. He is currently studying for his Doctorate in Musicology. He is very much hands on in arranging the songs he sings. He sings in all genres and loves to mix genres as you saw him do perfectly in SOS. He still has vocal training from vocal teachers of 3 hours on most days as he says that a singer always thinks their voice sounds beautiful, so it’s important that they receive outside input! He’s a very humble human being as well!

It’s hard to not tear up when you hear something that is almost perfection performed beautifully. I see almost perfection, because the impossible is possible. He gets better as the years go on. @@RegisRodriguez Yes, that is sweet.........but DON'T SUPPORT WORLDS BEST BY LISTENING TO THOSE SNIPPETS....He asked at the beginning before signing on if there were children involved--the Kazak adults do not compete against children, they strongly support them instead--they told him no...then he found out they had lied and he bowed out, and those music nazis went balistic and embarassed themselves by getting angry at him on camera. Dimash is such a class act! [If you want to see how ignorant They were, go ahead and watch on your own time, but don't 'react' to it. The Dears will be upset] :)
