Thank you both. It’s interesting to see how your network is expanding to Japan now.... The Nikko is still a lovely gun, even though it is showing its age and hard life. I’m not sure I would like to have one in the modern day as the parts availability is non existent. What happens if a leaf spring breaks? I’m sticking to the more modern kit, I think. I’m currently on the trail of an early model (I think) grey import Miroku MK38 trap in Grade 3, but cannot get a price for it until it has been to proof.
This will always be the problem with guns as they get older. This Nikko is a coil spring, and not a v-spring. We have a sidelock ejector Nikko which still has a coil spring action.
I have come to own a Nikko O/U 20 Ga Golden Eagle 5000-1. Serial prefixed with the "K". Built from '75-77. Sold out of Arlington Heights, IL. Please share any additional info on the logic of the serial # that you come to find. The gun is in excellent condition, beautiful. Great video. Thanks.
Ever come across a winchester xpert 96? Very interesting gun made to combat the base model citori when browning released it, it is winchester 101 spec with nikko ejector system and fore end. The whole history of those 2 is such a great story
Mechanically same as a 101. Late run along side 8500, 6500 etc built mainly for europe. Made in kodensha when olin sold to win repeating arms. Good gun
Another great video fellas!
Thank you Danny.
Who’s that man behind the curtain? Haha, cheers Paul!
Finally been revealed
Have you guys seen anything of Miroku’s latest mk60 “English Fields edition” coming later this year? I’d love to see more of it and hear you opinion.
We've not physically seen one, but we do have them on order and will do a video once one arrives.
Countryway Gunshop awesome! I’m hoping it’s a general release and not a limited edition?!
