Beautiful gun. If it were the 1800's, I'd buy one! My M590A1 holds 12 more short shells and costs $250 less, made in U.S.A. and has the distinction of being a current military service weapon. These coach guns look good for SASS competition but don't expect you'll sell many. I would consider it an attractive novelty at half the price!
SASS member since the 80s. Thank you. This is great. My 40+ year old Rossi coach gun is getting pretty worn out. One stage we had to shoot two targets twice. I would hold both triggers when bringing gun up. Then Fan Both hammers at same time. Great fun.
MSRP is 990 bucks. I would buy it if it was a quality build and barrels were regulated well. Avg coach with hammers are about 700 to 1200 dollars I'm guessing because its marketed to the SASS Cowboy elderly states men. More coach guns need sling swivels included.
We have a spanish made 20 gauge like that, it was made back in the late 60s..and it kicks like a mule with 4 shot high brass...the barrels are choked down to about the size of a dime...very nice piece.
Good old fashioned home defense shotgun with color case hardened receiver. And hammer fire is nostalgic. 12 gauge 2 3/4 and 3 inch with brass bead front sight. What’s not to like?
@@Gieszkanne yes I have but they have gone up since the last time I shopped for them. Plenty at the $500-$600 mark. Which honestly all of them are over priced considering the price of a decent semi auto isn't that much more.
The price seems a little high for what you get. You're starting to get into reliable semi-auto territory with a $700 price. All I know about Heritage is hundred dollar plinkers, that also affects my perception of the value.
@@BertShackleford Exactly. The price hikes are for these businesses to make as much $$$ for low cost labor (Turkish manufacturing). Yuck. That tells you all you need to know
Being a pump guy and having a Winchester defender at half the price and three times the capacity, probably not. Interesting enough, both are made in Turkey. I have not seen a known brand name Turkey made shotgun that was not of good quality. Given that coach shotguns are popular, you should have a fairly good market for these nice looking and functional guns. Hope this helps!
I have a winchester SXP that is made in turkey, and a panzer m4 (a clone of the benelli m4) also turkish made both have been super reliable for me and they are great quality.
Absolutely got to get one “ old school made from modern materials and shoot modern shells. It’s also cylinder bore so with twin slugs it packs a punch in a simple reliable package.
Agree, too high for a relic of the past. Old technology should go down in price.. people would buy much more and they would make a better profit. I guess the supply chain for firearms is slow.
I did just buy one today for ranch work . Badger holes make for broken legs in cattle and horses . Didn't need pump for this job , only wheel guns , and least moving parts possible need apply . It's just like going to the Napa store , just tool shopping, nothing more...
@BigTuckUSA ---- A pump gun is NOT more efficient than a side by side with exposed hammers / double triggers. Fewer moving parts on the gun in the video and no chance of it jamming, unlike a pump or a semi-auto.
I have a 410 side by side I got 50 years ago. It was inexpensive. Its a great rabbit, quail and squirrel gun. Has A 24 inch barrel. Works well, even after all these years. But this is too expensive. The CZ bobwhite is a good choice for about $650. But its not a "coach" gun. I think a Stoeger coach gun, which is $100 less would be a better buy and you get options, like 12 or 20 gauge.
If I had the money I would buy one. A tad high priced for me. Looks like. Those shorty shells do better than the 2 3/4”. I have trouble seeing how this shorties would feed in a pump and not jam. The timing is made for 2 3/4” or longer. So 2 shells may come out at once in a pump. I do love her Lola of that gun. For that price it needs a WALNUT stock though. Too Expensive for what it is.
To: KYGUNCO; Your demonstration and the review was good. I would be very tempted to buy one IF, A). It was NOT made in Turkey. B.) It was more affordable, (about $400.00 per.) C.) If it had 26" to 30" barrels. I really like side by side shotguns. I have a Savage Model 311 12 gauge.
I would like to have one just because. I have some other old guns, mostly black powder guns, and this would fit that era just fine. No where to store it just yet, and I would wait a little longer for the price to come down.
Nostalgia is its #10 rating but one drawback is the gun needs to have screw in chokes to be more useful in a modern world. The price is one negative because you can buy a nice pump shotgun that is about the most versatile shotgun ever. I would rather spend the same money on a nice BPS Browning in 12 gauge or a 20 gauge . They still can be found 😊
I would buy it because it's cool. It's perfect for a Cowboy Action Shooting competition. However, Gun Smith should find away to make the shells eject out.
I want a full length 410 revolver shotgun with an actual shotgun barrel NOT some rifled hybrid that shoots 45 long colt as well . Just 410 and nothing else .
Not worth it. Too expensive and no shell ejector. It can be used in home defense but that goes for any gun. It technically is better than nothing. However it would probably make a good shotgun training gun.
Well for starters 1. Get a job and make enough money to purchase it. 2. Go to their website and pay for it and have shipped to your local ffl or go to one of their stores and purchase in person. There I gave you step by step instructions on how to get one.
Cylinder and cylinder bore are the same thing. You said cylinder for one barrel and cylinder bore for the other. Maybe you meant IMP and CYL or both are just CYL bore.
With an MSRP of $989... hard pass. Stoeger Coach guns can be had for $270-$550, depending on the stock type and model. These look nice, but they aren't worth more than double the Brazilian made Stoegers.
I’m assuming Turkish made…. But Heritage is owned by Taurus so maybe it’s Brazilian made. Are they actual hammers or just cocking indicators like the old Russian coach guns?
It's Turkish, not Brazilian. Made by "Derya" look like, but with another form of fore-end in comparison european variant. It's actual hammers. Not bad shotgun, but in USA i don't know... "Rossi" or CZ must bee better.
You are correct. We phrase it the way we did for retail reasons - you would not believe how many times a customer has asked us "So this gun only takes 3" shells?" Obviously we explain it further, but there is a considerable number of novice shotgun buyers that don't understand 2 3/4" shells work in 3" chambers.
I would only purchase one if it had ejectors..............and yes I know it would cost more. AND, eliminate the pressed checkering. No checkering is better than pressed checkering......................Pressed checkering makes a statement; and the statement is "CHEAP"
Art in the form of a double barrel coach gun. Nice !
Always wanted a 12 gauge coach gun. I would buy it.
I gotta get one
You're gonna need another safe. 🤠

It looks like a dressed up version of the old cheap Chinese dubble.

I'm pretty sure that nut at the end of the forearm has a slot for a swivel, not wholly sure but i think these may be a resurrect Rossi Overland
Sling points and ejectors. If youre doing CAS or something you can always deactivate them, cannot add them after
I got the Badlander this year, I liked it so much I got a 3" Rosco revolver which I'm enjoying as well. The Coachwhip looks neat
I’d go with the badlander just for the 18” barrels
I will wait for the 410 model ....

Nothing says get out of my house like a double barrel shotgun 👍🏻
I'm the oddball, I'd prefer a 26-28 barrel, 2-3/4 chamber with replaceable chokes. The 3-inch chamber barrels generally do not have a slender profile.
I prefer internal hammers and double triggers like on a Springfield Stevens 5100 but either way double barrels will do the job. I do prefer 20 gauge.
The good thing with externals is that you can store and keep them loaded but with decocked hammers.
