My bf just walked in on me watching and said, "is that Becky again? Can she just like host a retreat in her home for like a month so we can learn to be like her?" I said, "honey why do you think i watch all her videos? We WILL live like this one day!" 😂
Becky, I am 57 years old, and have been canning for YEARS, and I have learned so much from you, that I wish I had known way back then.. also, I love watching you cook with your mom (She’s so cute.. a fellow Michigander) and your mother in law. You all make me wanna do more preserving and meal prep.. keep up the good work girl. You inspire me ☺️❤️
Hi again Becky. If you grill pork chops you can cut your peach in half remove the pit and place them cut side down on the grill on low flame. Try it out. Enjoy....
I’m a momma of teens now but not too long ago I was doing alllllll the things like you with two littles on my hip. They were exhausting but rewarding days and now I have two teen boys who love gardening and raising animals and running tractors, cooking and all that. They do a lot of the projects now and I get time to sit and watch Becky!
The beautiful flowers on your cabinet shelf sure do brighten and beautify your space! And those peaches look so delicious! Thanks for another great video!
Hi Becky. I wanted to thank you for giving us a glimpse inside your home life. Being disabled Im unable to do what you are doing . I kind of live through you feeling the satisfaction when something is brought together and successful. You're such a joy to watch. 😊
Same here! But my disability allows me to do a tiny bit if gardening so I'm working toward being able to learn to can and grow enough abundance for that
I saw a trick this week. If you cut the peaches around the circumference rather than stem to stern you can twist the peach in half to pit them. The pit is oblong so that works so much better.
I just spent the entire day shucking, parboiling, and cutting sweet corn off the cob and into freezer bags. I live in Iowa, and we put up enough sweet corn for a couple of our families for the whole year. There is NOTHING that compares to Iowa's sweet corn. 🌽 🌽 🌽 💛
I agree. I am also from Iowa. We grow sweet corn and put up enough for two years or more each year. You never know when there will be a bad year, due to the weather.
Utah has really delicious corn as well- but I’ve never tried Iowa corn right from the stalk. All this talk is making me really hungry for fresh corn! 🌽
I dont even have to mention your UA-cam channel anymore when im talking to my bf. I just say "Becky said this..." and he knows exactly who I'm talking about 😂😂. It always feels like I'm just hanging out with a friend in the kitchen or garden, not like im just watching a video. ❤ it.

Now I know this was a full sized video. For some reason I feel like it just wasn’t enough for my ‘Becky fix’. Becky, you make it all seem so easy! Yes I know it sounds crazy. Maybe 🤔 I’ve been anticipating the preservation videos for so long. Idk. I just slowed down preserving my garden (187 jars added to my shelves Woohooo) not done yet though. Definitely over/past the ‘overwhelming’ part of the season enough that I can enjoy videos again. Becky I hope you know how much of an inspiration you are to this community around the globe. Especially those of us new to homesteading millennials who are looking for a mentor. We love you and appreciate each and every one of your posts. ❤ much love from the south east!
I thought it was only me. The videos are so enjoyable they never seem to be enough. And I usually feel spazzed out when some UA-camrs cross 20 minutes. LOL! Becky is a joy.
@@danajessop2835 oh so do I. I just watched the one that she made tomato paste and forgot to pull something out for dinner. I love Becky’s videos. She gives me so many new ideas!

The best part of Azure is the "community drop" - you'll meet all kinds of people there. It is very fun. The quality of their grains and beans is amazing. Highly recommended.
I just finished preserving the 25lbs of peaches I picked yesterday. Zesty peach BBQ sauce, jam, sliced and peach lemonade concentrate. Now it’s nap time.
Becky! I have watched you since you started gardening in your old house. My question is, how do you do it?? You are what so many people strive to be, so motivated, a great mom, loving wife, gardener, hostess, and feeding your family the best food. I hope I can be as motivated as you one day!
I absolutely love your videos. Informative and entertaining. I’m a 64 year old mom and grandma and for someone so young, you really inspire me. Thank you. 😊❤
it's amazing how much your channel grew over time. i love that you set boundaries for you and your family, i love your content. you've put in a lot of work and passion and it shows!❤
Hi Becky, I wanted to share something that might be helpful based on my experience managing industrial kitchens. This is a common oversight for home cooks, so it’s totally understandable (no judgment at all!). When preserving larger quantities, though, it’s important to be extra careful with hygiene. For example, when handling unwashed vegetables like those beautiful home-grown onions, it’s best to use a separate knife, cutting board, and bench space, or to clean cutting board, knife and surrounding area thoroughly before using it for anything else. I noticed you used the same knife to score peaches right after handling the onions. While putting the peaches in hot water helps with peeling, it’s not long enough to eliminate potential contaminants introduced by using the same, unsanitised bench space and knife. Soil and compost can carry spores and bacteria, which is a food safety concern. I just wanted to point this out to help ensure everything stays safe and delicious!
I got my first batch of tomato sauce done last night! I thought of how you talk about doing more now so future me has an easier time of things. Really kept me motivated!
Becky I don't know where you get your energy. You inspire me to get off the couch and do more. I love the recipe ideas. One can get stuck in a food rut at times.
I take my crystalized honey in my Kitchen Aid and make whipped honey, whip until it turns white, put in a jar and use just like regular honey. It stays soft once whipped.
Becky, thanks so much for all the information you share with us! I love spending time with you and your knowledge. I’m a 65 year old mother of triplets and a grandmother of 5 beautiful grandkids. I share your wisdom with all the busy moms in my life!
Happy Sunday Becky and family and friends ! Lift our hearts with gratefulness and love as we share this harvest of abundance and joy in Becky’s loving kitchen . Quiet restful peace to everyone ! I just bought peaches yesterday knowing you picked them up. I’m so excited to prepare with you. ❤
What a pleasure it is to watch you accomplish your project goals. You make everything look so easy and effortless. Growing up in Maryland, we had a beautiful peach tree in our yard and every year my Mom canned and did everything peaches... Peach Cobbler was my favorite. The blanching method looks so much easier than the hand peeling we did, ugh. The love you have for what you do comes through and we feel it! God bless you and your lovely family. Thank you!
This is just an FYI for those trying to grow sweet corn… One of the biggest problems with growing sweet corn is not growing it in a large enough patch, and/or wide enough patch. No growing in a few rows, because the wind and breezes are what helps pollinate it. If it’s in just a few rows, the wind just blows the the pollen out into the nether, leaving the eventual corn small and sparsely filled…sometimes bare, lol. Another common problem is not feeding it enough. Corn is a heavy feeder.. I was raised on a farm surrounded by corn, and my brother and I even sold it uptown from the back of my Dads truck. And yet… When it came to my own first couple attempts at raising sweet corn, I failed miserably and had dwarfed skimpy corn. My Dad pointed out that I was trying to raise corn on a postage stamp sized garden… ouch! 🤭
Becky, something you can do istead of a towel in the bottom of the canner is you can take some of the jar rings and zip tie them together and sit them on the bottom of the canner as well. It works very good. and it is a cheap alternative. You just use however many rings you need to reach around the bottom of what ever pot you are using.
Happy Sunday everyone. I am fermenting some carrots today with jalapeños and garlic. They stay super crunchy with the tannins from a few bay leaves. My husband likes them with Franks Red hot buffalo chicken wings and ranch. It’s easier than canning.
Cornmeal doesn't go bad on the shelf and the unit price can be so, so much cheaper in bulk over that found on the grocery shelf. It may mean you make more cornmeal mush, yellow grits, cornmeal pancakes, polenta, corn pudding, cornbread, sweet cornbread or muffins, corn bread stuffing, and on down the line.
It's wonderful to see how you use your garden produce. My garden isn't as big as yours but I'm very proud of the fact that I canned Cream of Celery Soup Base that used all ingredients (except chicken stock, which was home canned) from my garden. Garlic, celery, potatoes and onions.
I so love your videos Becky! You inspire me! Because of you I can fruits and vegetables more often, I buy local beef and pork, and make more homemade goods! Because of you I found Azure and I have been purchasing from them for almost 2 years! The beginning of year we sold our home and a new home with land so I’m pretty excited for 2025 gardening season! Thank you for posting awesome educational videos!
One more time Becky, and I pray you read this because it’s like the 4th time I’ve typed this out. I buy organic local honey in 1 gallon plastic jugs. I used to buy the gallon size from Azure, but I now have a local hookup. Anyway, when your gallon crystallizes, simply set it in your instant pot with enough water to cover maybe an inch from the bottom, and set it on WARM. Put the plastic jug on some kind of trivia/rack or 3-4 canning rings so it’s not touching the instant pot directly. Before you know it, all will be honey again. PEASE READ THIS! Every time you mention your crystalized honey, I’m over here screaming at my iPad. 🤪
You can also use the oven light to melt the honey crystals. I've been doing this for many, many years. My oven gets to about 100° wit the light on. I just put a wooden spoon between the door so that it doesn't get too warm in my oven.
She wasn't complaining about the honey being crystallized, just stating why she wasn't running to get it because she didn't want mess with it just then. I actually wouldn't heat anything in plastic in my instant pot. The chemicals leach out of the plastic and into whatever food you have in the container. I'd melt in it warm water and when back to the right consistency, pour it into glass jars so it's easier to deal with.
Wow! I just discovered your account a few days ago and I must say it is increadible what you achieve in your kitchen! I already freeze a lot of my garden harvest but unfortunately I cannot can a lot since we do not have the canning jars here in Belgium. Keep up your amazing work!!!
We love to half and pit our peaches, put a pat of butter, cinnamon sugar and a drizzle of honey. Broil until carmalized. Serve with granola and yogurt or ice cream.
It's 11 PM here, I'm watching this video while nursing my 3 month old and I'm currently salivating looking at that peach salsa..... Looks sooo delicious ❤
I am curious as to what your 2023 pantry reflection is when you look back at the previous season. What you used up, what you have left. What you tried and what your not going to put up this year. What new items you'll be putting up/preserving this 2024 season.
When I was young, we had 4 or 5 peach trees in the backyard. August was peach month. Mom, I’m hungry - eat a peach! When we had eaten all we could, mom would can the rest and we had jars and jars of peaches to eat over the winter. One of many things I didn’t know you could buy in a tin can until I was in college. Thanks for the memories.
Hi Becky, hi friends 🎉 I'm catching up thr last two weeks slowly as I was out of town where there is little to no mobile service! Loving this garden/ meal prep/ preservation season Becky is in!
@@chrismcpherson1586wow. And I fully watched the video and none of the comments that I stated were made. It was just an excitement comment being made. Ease up. We all love Becky. ❤❤
I love canning peaches! We have an amazing local peach farm! This year I kept the skin and pieces I squished and made peach juice! Other squishy ones I made a fall spiced butter and a whole lot of canned halved, quartered! Very little waste!
@@Cookingwithapril super easy! I used the pieces I cut bad & the skin (no pits, they freak me out!) cover with water-bring to a simmer then put through a cheesecloth for at least a few hours. Taste, add sugar as desired, bring to 190 and water can. It’s in Ball’s book of canning (look under juices) I’ve also made blueberry, blackberry and one of my favorites strawberry! I don’t add sugar but I use them in mimosas or mixed drinks. My grands love it with a little sparklie water too
I recently was perusing my Ball preservation book and made the Cherry Chocolate Jam? OH MY GOODNESS. You might consider it. You don't need much. It's rich and delicious and has been used in our house on toast/muffins, in yogurt, over ice cream stirred into coffee (I mascerated the cherries to the point of no chunks). AND I did it with pitted dark cherries not fresh and the very best cocoa I could find. Honestly, try it as a treat and also gifts!! Thank you for all your inspiration.
@@Meeminator603 I've made the sure jell version of chocolate cherry jam many years ago, and it was delicious 😋! Their recipe called for squares of semi sweet chocolate if my memory is correct. It was a long time ago. I don't eat jams or jelly because of the high amounts of sugar. I'm a diabetic, and yes I know about low sugar recipes from Pamonas and sure jell. I was not much of a jam/jelly consumer.
I just freeze dried a tray of cilantro because of your suggestion. It was my first time freeze drying anything and I'm hooked. I have a medium sized Harvest Right Pro. I did 2 full trays of cooked pork shoulder carnitas, 1 tray of rotisserie chicken chunks, 1 tray of green onions along with the 1 tray of cilantro. 😊 I've been watching you for years and you're the major reason that I bought a Greenstalk and a freeze dryer. I have another rotisserie chicken to break down to make broth with the skin and bones and freeze dry the meat. I've got a long list of things to freeze dry including some caramel M&M's.
Becky, Meg, at Hollar Homestead has a "waterless" canner, that she loves. No heating g heavy water filled canning pots, less (no) time heating water to a boil, fewer gallons used all around. Just a thought. Happy preservation😅
I really appreciate you using safe canning methods and giving out correct information. Very informative! I’ll be canning some pickled banana pepper rings this week too.
If I lived in the area and saw you at the peach farm, I would have been running over and hugging you! So enjoy the increased frequency of new videos. (Not that I don’t rewatch older ones.😉)
I picked some Silverbeet today and blanched and freezed it!! Honestly I think its the best way too preserve Silverbeet!! I use it a lot in my cooking especially something like spag bol or scrambled eggs!! Love my frozen Spinach that's just handy to grab from the freezer for a meal!!
Peach Salsa! Thank you! I have peaches coming out my ears from our ONE tree. I usually slice and freeze them to make things later. I love the idea of having frozen peach salsa in my freezer.
@acrehomestead. Thank you for boosting my confidence and making canning look easy. I never canned anything.......my mom grew up on a farm, I did not, but went every summer and helped with harvest. My mom canned and so did my grandmother's. I turned 50 this summer and bought myself a pressure canned for our tomatoes. We always froze our sauce and our freezer just wasn't holding everything. I was quite intimidated at first, but after watching your videos multiple times I tried it. I succeeded and now i can't wait to try more. ❤
We love fresh peaches here on the NC/SC border. This summer I made a peach salad dressing and it was a huge hit. Salad mix, peach dressing, goat cheese with honey and homemade croutons.
I made your Lemon Blueberry Jam recipe to use up frozen blueberrues from last season and it came out amazing! Since I just picked 5 lbs for the season and froze them up 😊 I just want to preserve everything after watching you. Thanks for the inspiration ❤
I have been canning Beef Roady and Corned Beef. My last canner is cooling off. Having protein canned is a blessing for my pantry. Enjoyed watching you between steps.
I grew up on a farm in Yamhill and believe the peaches grown in this area are some of the best. Mom was a great food preserver and I have many good memories of helping her and learning the craft - from strawberries in June to apples in September. Thanks for bringing these back. Been on the Big Island for 26 yrs and I miss the summer food abundance but not the weather. 😊
I am in Australia so we are in opposite seasons to you, but I was away on a trip over the summer so ended up with a lot of produce in the freezer because I wasn’t home to process it. I just made a batch of your cowboy candy (using a mix of peppers and dicing them rather than slicing). I give a lot of my preserved food away as I am just one person and make more than I could ever eat by myself and this has been hotly requested again from recipients so it’s going to have to go into the regular rotation. Thank you!
I have been looking for a u-pick peach farm near me and none came up. So glad you shared the name of this farm. Thank you. May be too late for this year, but I’ll definitely make a note in my 2025 calendar.

I absolutely love spending time with you Becky. It's always a great time. 💚
Wow! I just discovered your account a few days ago and I must say it is increadible what you achieve in your kitchen! I already freeze a lot of my garden harvest but unfortunately I cannot can a lot since we do not have the canning jars here in Belgium. Keep up your amazing work!!!
Take a trip to France for canning supplies. What’s up with Belgium ? So strange !
So love watching your videos. You are very inspiring to get up and do something even gardening or anything. Thank you 😊
I am curious as to what your 2023 pantry reflection is when you look back at the previous season.
Having a blessed day with Becky🎉
Hi Becky, hi friends 🎉 I'm catching up thr last two weeks slowly as I was out of town where there is little to no mobile service! Loving this garden/ meal prep/ preservation season Becky is in!
Hi Becky, I love your garden and you motivated me start doing it. You are a blessing to us and your family ❤❤❤
Becky, if you cut off the ends of your lemons it makes it easier to squeeze them with the squeezer
Oh my are we canning peaches? Or, making peach jam. I absolutely love Pear preserves. Hello Becky. Hello Acre friends. So excited to watch. ❤❤❤
If you watched her video you would know. Why ask when she said Excactly what she is doing SMH
@@annaglanz1159oh wow I have never made peach juice. That sounds amazingly delicious. ❤❤❤I would love to try make it.
My grands love it with a little sparklie water too
I love the flowers you chose for your arrangements❤️Dinner looks delicious!🥰And I love all the peach creations you made, I love anything peach 🍑
Becky I love how you’re canning and preserving what you enjoy to eat and try new things.
I appreciate you sharing how you use the peach salsa in rice because even though it looked delicious I couldn’t imagine how it could be used.
What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Thank you Miss Becky.
Flowers make my heart sing!!
Watching your videos gives me sweet company... Sorry when it's over, but ❤ the anticipation
That sounds amazing ❤
@@Meeminator603 I've made the sure jell version of chocolate cherry jam many years ago, and it was delicious 😋! Their recipe called for squares of semi sweet chocolate if my memory is correct. It was a long time ago. I don't eat jams or jelly because of the high amounts of sugar. I'm a diabetic, and yes I know about low sugar recipes from Pamonas and sure jell. I was not much of a jam/jelly consumer.
Ball's Black Forest Preserves is also out of this world yummy!
I've been watching you for years and you're the major reason that I bought a Greenstalk and a freeze dryer.
It's not waterless, it's a steam canner. It takes 2 1/2 quarts of water and can replace a water-bath canner for many recipes.
Hello from Germany ❤ Watching your videos is like coming home ❤
I really appreciate you using safe canning methods and giving out correct information. Very informative! I’ll be canning some pickled banana pepper rings this week too.
Ty Becky and Josh. Great timing on the drawing. Just starting to harvest in Arizona the things we can freeze dry. Fingers crossed
You can whip your crystallized honey for 5 to 10 minutes with a stand mixer and it will stay smooth ,airy and delicious! 0:37
If I lived in the area and saw you at the peach farm, I would have been running over and hugging you! So enjoy the increased frequency of new videos. (Not that I don’t rewatch older ones.😉)
My mom used to canned sliced peaches and they tasted really good during the winter😊
I love your little bouquets, it brightens your nook. I've never had peach salsa, it looks delicious.
All the flowers are so beautiful.❤
Put your crystallized honey in the dishwater (in the sealed container) and when the quick cycle is finished it will be back to runny and crystal free
This is just so Peachy I love all the things you are preserving even pickled peppers.❤
Maple flavoring would be good in granola too
Peach Salsa! Thank you! I have peaches coming out my ears from our ONE tree. I usually slice and freeze them to make things later. I love the idea of having frozen peach salsa in my freezer.
Our farmers market here in burns oregon just opened and we have farmers come from out of town,I love fresh fruit and veggies 😊
So many yummy projects completed; thanks for sharing how to & the many ideas! Blessings to all 🤗🇨🇦
Those little bouquets are adorable 😊
@acrehomestead. Thank you for boosting my confidence and making canning look easy. I never canned anything.......my mom grew up on a farm, I did not, but went every summer and helped with harvest. My mom canned and so did my grandmother's. I turned 50 this summer and bought myself a pressure canned for our tomatoes. We always froze our sauce and our freezer just wasn't holding everything. I was quite intimidated at first, but after watching your videos multiple times I tried it. I succeeded and now i can't wait to try more. ❤
Wow this is amazing! Thanks for sharing with me :)
Becky I have learned so much from watching your channel. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
I always learn so much with your videos, please keep it up, you are a valuable reference thank you my friend.
I just pickled my Hungarian wax peppers yesterday with the same recipe you are using. I hope they turn out good!
Love your flower arrangements ❤
We love fresh peaches here on the NC/SC border. This summer I made a peach salad dressing and it was a huge hit. Salad mix, peach dressing, goat cheese with honey and homemade croutons.
Becky you can use the rack from your pressure canner in your stock pot. I do that - or just use the canner without locking the lid.
Hi, just a suggestion with the peaches freeze drying them would be really good. Freeze dried peaches are really good.
Afternoon all! Such a blessed day!
Hi Becky! I love canned carrots! Thanks for the banana pepper preservation. I was wondering what to do with mine.
Beef roast, lol.
Gotta ❤️❤❤ roast in a 🫙!
Chuck roast, lamb roast, pork roast, yummmmm.
Becky, dehydrate some peaches and add them to your granola! YUMMY
You have to give us a pantry tour to see what you used the most of all your yummy jars.
I
Live on the big island been here 20 yes from California
O
I am in Australia so we are in opposite seasons to you, but I was away on a trip over the summer so ended up with a lot of produce in the freezer because I wasn’t home to process it. I just made a batch of your cowboy candy (using a mix of peppers and dicing them rather than slicing). I give a lot of my preserved food away as I am just one person and make more than I could ever eat by myself and this has been hotly requested again from recipients so it’s going to have to go into the regular rotation. Thank you!
I freeze dried my corn last year and I’ll never do it any other way. Tastes every bit as good as frozen and is shelf stable.😊
❤ INSPIRING!!! ❤ I learn so much from you Becky! THANK YOU!! 😊
Yummy🌺 peach anything is fabulous, thank you for some new to me recipes
Thank you Becky watching you from Cathlamet, WA.
Oh those beautiful peaches - I’m drooling! Only five months to wait for them here in the southern hemisphere!
I have been looking for a u-pick peach farm near me and none came up. So glad you shared the name of this farm. Thank you. May be too late for this year, but I’ll definitely make a note in my 2025 calendar.
We get the banana peppers pickled whole with the stalks on in our supermarkets. They use them whole on top of donner kebabs in the restaurants
You make kitchen times looking like fun and simply easy
