I've been mulling over which subframe connectors to get for awhile now, the pinch weld covers and matrix brace are really nice but I do really like the full length design of the Maximum Motorsports subframe connectors. If only there was a way to incorporate both designs.
The biggest advantage of subframe connectors is to stiffen the rear seat mount area. The length of the connecters is less of "a thing." The "frame rails" are stiff enough. However, you CAN use MM full length subframe connectors and just buy the matrix brace and the jacking rails. They'll fit.
@@Mustang-Geek That would be perfect if they work together. Yeah I'm sure the standard length connectors are probably more than enough but if I can get even a little more strength in the chassis out of full length connectors I figure why not.
What's the safest way to just lift one side of the car? I need to jack up my driver side to do some work and I'm a bit nervous. Should I jack up the K member and rear pumpkin and use the frame rails to place my jack stands? Just looking for any advice.
I'd get a block of wood and put it behind the pinch weld at the front of the rocker and jack up under the rear toque box (where the control arm attaches to the chassis). Use two jacks. The easiest method is get jacking rails installed!
I think that's normal. As far as tacking to the floor pan, that certainly can't hurt. In fact, I welded two small L brackets on the backside of the jacking rail and welded them to the floor just as insurance against the pinch weld "folding" back and forth...probably waaaaay overkill, but I sleep better at night with a little backside support.
Awesome vid man, you explained everything perfectly and its evident you know what you're doing and know your shit.
Thanks! Follow me on Instagram @wesduenkel for other Foxbody stuff that's too short to put on UA-cam.

If only doing the jacking rail, would you tack them to the floor pan also?
I’ve got one pinchweld shorter than the other, by maybe 1/4” that normal?

Great video!! What kind of gauge cluster is that?
Not sure what you mean...it's just the factory one.
Damn good video. I need this for my 90 LX 5.0, what's the cost sir?

@@Mustang-Geek thank you so very much for the reply
Where did u get your steering wheel
LMR
What kind of welder should you use to do this?
A MIG welder. I have an HTP that runs off 220V, but you could do this with a 110V welder.
The endless repeating of the product name 😂😂
Gotta be accurate!
