For example, when the weather is rainy people are sad and depressed 2nd example, the dark night could symbolise something supernatural like 3AM Satan etc… 2. Personification Is when a non-human is given human qualities. For example, the tree is waving to John as drives away. 3. Simile When you are comparing two things using ‘like’ or ‘as’ For example, his facial vision looked like a falcon’s eye 4. Metaphor Is when you are comparing two things with is or are Example He is an orc 5. Extended Metaphor Pick a metaphor and explain how --- > turn in to an extended metaphor Metaphor --- > Life is a rollercoaster. Now turning into extended metaphor add explanation so, Life is a rollercoaster you don’t know when you will be at the top or at the bottom, it will all happen in an instance, at the greatest heights you will be at the greatest heights and at times it will crash, but every day is never the same, just like in a turn in a Rolle coaster is never the same. 6. According to Mr Salles, we don't need to talk about structure and form to get full marks for unseen poetry. He showed in the 2022 sample mark scheme for the top band that it doesn't say anything about language, structure and form like it does for earlier years like 2018 and 2017.
i guess just include form and structure to link it to a language point in a paragraph so that you make sure you have 3 lang paragraphs in case you dont get marks for structure and form but you still have it in there just in case yk

@@jaredberlin4015 Sometimes it can be hard to write about writers intentions and purposes as that usually comes in ur point. I think Pretzel is honestly the best, it allows you to analyse 2 effects which is plenty if u do at least 3 paragraphs with 2 effecys

Hi, Mr Everything English has a video where he explains 10 quotes that are helpful to memorise for the Macbeth exam. I found it quite useful, I'd recommend it :) I have also heard Mr Salles say to memorise 8 quotes, so I'm sure anywhere between at least 8-10 is fine :)

yh defo i do that and haven't got below 24 (mostly i get 25, 26, 27). when i've done 4 paras i have got 27 and 28 a couple of times but i'm not doing that anymore because i just find it too hard to write enough and i know i rush stuff in the exam. i'm aiming for an 8 so hoping quality over quantity
