Metaphor Is when you are comparing two things with is or are Example He is an orc 5. Extended Metaphor Pick a metaphor and explain how --- > turn in to an extended metaphor Metaphor --- > Life is a rollercoaster. Now turning into extended metaphor add explanation so, Life is a rollercoaster you don’t know when you will be at the top or at the bottom, it will all happen in an instance, at the greatest heights you will be at the greatest heights and at times it will crash, but every day is never the same, just like in a turn in a Rolle coaster is never the same. 6. I've got my first English language exam in 24 minutes and this video is a lifesaver, I never understood the way my teacher explained things but this video makes it so much easier
we were always told that rule of three, alliteration, repetition, rhetorical question and simile are all structure techniques. hearing this has made me understand why my entire class are consistently getting 3s and below
Your video on how to analyse structure is the best I have found! I am an English tutor and writer and as you say structure is not often discussed in English as much as language devices and so I was really confused and was sticking to long or short paragraphs! which is just so dull and obvious. I love your explanation of shifts! who knew! thanks so much! very simple very clear explanations! Love it! thanks
Thank you so much. I'm in year 9 and have recently being struggling in English Literature but this channel makes learning so much simpler. Liked and Subscribed !
Thank you so much. You are best Teacher and make my life easier by watching your english lesson, it gives me more confidence and hope for the best. I learned more from your one video than what my English Teacher taught me in six months.Thank you so much
I wish this guy was my English teacher he helped me get an 8 in an English end of year exam . This guy is better than any revision guide. 25 language devices in 1 vid sounded too good to be true but was 100% no cap
hi great vid could you do a vid explaining the effect of these devices. i have no problem seeing them and writing them down but when it actually comes to explaining them for example i write there is the use of the simile which.... that is when i am so confused so pls help. would be really appreciated
thank you so much, I thought I a good amount of the features all ready but there were abt 4 that I didnt know! plus your inspector calls and romeo and juliet references helped lmao, thank you sm
