    • @mayo4931

@@_anime_shawty7654 basically u make a point a simple point like
P - ‘Macbeth is seen as brave in this extract due to the barbaric killings he committed, which he was praised of highly.’
R- Then you state ur evidence by saying ‘This is established/shown/illuminated/delivered/emphasised/demonstrated/ etc. just search up synonyms for ‘shown’ cuz shown is too basic. so ‘This is established in the quotation……’
T & E- Then you explain the effect of the quotation but first i’d quickly write a decent interpretation of the quotation of what it means. Then after that analyse it find structural or language techniques or punctuation etc. and explain the effect of that technique and punctuation and make sure to relate it to ur point and the whole question overall.
Z + E- after that u could maybe add an alternative interpretation which always gets ur marks up but if u cant find any u dont have to and u zoom into specific words of that quotation and explain the effect of it. or if u cant zoom into a specific word just make an alternative interpretation so u have ay least something. and u can just make it out the top of ur head it doesnt have to be real just make it believable and reasonable. and make sure to explain it fully but id always make an alternative interpretation of the quotation evidence and then zoom in further.
L - After that you make ur link back to the point and question. BUT THIS THE IMPORTANT BIT. before u make ur link back, REMEMBER TO ADD: *writers intention*. this always boosts ur marks up by a lot so always try to add the writers intention for example:
The writer might have been trying to teach/warn the reader/audience.
Remember to also add the readers/writers reaction to the quote that u explained because it also boosts ur marks up.
*the reader may have felt overwhelmed by this…. because…*
finally PLS add context. historical, social, religious, anything abt the writers personal life etc. And reading examiner reports, examiners tend to like references to modern life events/situations or ones in recent decades such as ww2.
THEN AFTER THAT, make ur link back. I got a grade 8 for doing all of this in my mocks and it was marked against the highest grade boundaries aqa had for years. i hope this helped u and if u have more questions ask me again or add my snap m4yonn4ise
