My man another very thoughtful and detailed review that I NEEDED! I’ve been on the edge about 97a but you covered both street and park, as well as my main tricks(slappies and transition). Just wanted to say thank you for the work you put in man it’s greatly appreciated!
This is a great video! You're spot on that there's PLENTY of reviews of Bones and Spitfire. I was looking for a 99a wheel in 60mm that has a Bones V6 Wide Cut / Spitfire Full Conical profile, but turns out it doesn't exist! This review sold me on these wheels so thanks so much for this information. Cheers! -CJ in Philly
dude sick vid !!! thanks. I got these wheels on a Santa Cruz Roskopp and I'm loving them. great in the rain too. Awesome custom deck - so rad that you do that. Thanks. I'll be checking out your other vids. Sick skating style too man - good stuff !
I was looking at these wheels for my current and next deck. I've got a set of old Rat Bones now and they're decent. I also have some 88A Street Cubes I've only ridden a few times. (Loved 'em back in the 80's) The best wheels I've ever ridden were 97A Kanoa Rollouts. It was '79 and we'd just added Masonite as the riding surface of our local ramp. At 63 I fairly suck, but still love skating. Keep riding! You've got good style and mechanics. The bert revert is always fun. Used to do them backside and frontside. Had a full head of hair back then 😂😂😂
Awesome review, thanks for covering theses wheels from technical to performance. With wheel wear / coning, the front wheel coning tapers down from inside edge to outside edge and rear wheels cone tapers down from outside edge to inside edge. So when I rotate my conical/ asymmetrical wheels rather than flipping like a symmetrical wheel, I keep the face of the wheel facing out by moving the rear right to front left and rear left to front right. I try to do it on the eary side of the wear before they start to cone-out a lot.
Hi, I wanted to say I think your channel is really tight. I like the skating you’re aiming at, and the possibilities in skating you can bring to others who might not yet be familiar with it. I think more people should bring park skating to UA-cam.
Your riding style definitely goes right along with those Wheels I've ridden Dogtown wheels and Alva wheels for almost 40 years , I'm a fifty-two-year-ol 2:59 d vert Rider😮
Do you recommend anything Higher than a1/8 riser with these wheels and a 55 indy truck for someone who will be riding their trucks fairly tight or is 1/8 the way to go?
came here because i just ordered some new 97a Wheels! actually they are spitfire formula four in conical fulls! super excited to try them out, they just came out and i found some on zumiez website. i couldnt wait till they hit my skateshop so i just ordered them. check them out! would you do a review on them comparing them to these 97 a wheels? btw i got 56MM . They are this cool Light blue color to show that they are 97A , when the 99 is blue and 101 red.
If you wanna try out some other old school brands Powerflex does small batch runs. Also check out Alva. powerflexskateboards.com/ alva-skates.com/collections/wheels
Can we get together and donate a few bucks to get homeboy a new set up? I have never seen trucks ground down that far. I will donate some trucks, they'd be new Gullwing Shadow DLX - you can review them. I'm all about supporting someone who loves to skate!

been riding these for a year now. my favorite wheel so far.
funny is that these ride smoother on rough ground than the 60mm 85A wheels i had before.
Great video! This was very entertaining and informative. Probably the most technical and thorough review I've ever seen. Excellent job.

The Newton is also the measurement of tension, which we measure drum head tension and silk screen
Excellent review. This has sold me on getting a set for my old school Jimmy Acosta board. Keep shreddin' and reviewing,
New to the channel. Great so far! Thanks for your detailed review here.

Thanks for the thorough review!
These seem to fit pretty much exactly what I'm looking for
97a for life
I am a long time screen printer and skateboarder and drummer. It's cool that we rate the hardness of wheels and squeegees by Durometer.
Good to hear cause I'm about to put these on my psych stick
Very good vid!
Def try with outside graffix turned in, that's interesting...
There are SLIMEBALL wheels with similar durometer that i bet you'd like alot!

I think that these wheels are offset so it might be a problem to flip them from the outside of the wheel...
