Sand. Bondo. Sand. Flex seal in the tub where needed (if you still need it) Then paint. You can get a matte more fabric look with paint and making it as smooth as possible first. They also make elastomeric coatings that are sandable and paintable. Even polyurethane based caulks are sandable and paintable. If you wanted to skip bondo. To give you that smooth finish and then can have texture put back on to look like fabric. Lots of different options to make it look brand new. Just spraying flex seal on it might not get that smooth non bumpy finish. It might end up looking like a curious mountain range.
Yo so I did my whole top for my Miata in this it held for about 6 months.. it flakes a lot ,depending on material used on yours seems more like clothe mine was vinyl, Eventually I used the same stuff in a bucket to put it on thicker and for me it worked better
Flex paste white or black will work. I did it on my jeep xj. Fill in holes with cracks and gaps foam and add flex seal then sand down and then paint that sucker

Fill it with a silicone let dry and then use flex seal with a roller it'll give it that vinyl top texture
