Smoky Mountains backpacking Appalachian Trail to Charlie's Bunion

This was a short but fun overnight winter backpacking trip in the Smoky mountains. The trail was covered in snow and ice which made for some slow miles. Charlie's bunion was a 1 mile or so out and back hike from the Icewater spring shelter where we stayed the first night.

Awesome adventure in the Smokies. I always love hiking that area. Never done it in that much snow. Freaking beautiful scenery!! That cage is to catch hogs. Cool video 👍👍

Thanks Jason! Yeah, it was one fun trip. Very short, but fun. Thanks for the info on the cage. It looked a little small for a bear. Ha!
