I've learned my lesson, chased this woman for far too long and she never gave me the light of day. Never doing that mess again. Too much heartache and time wasted where I could've found a woman that's actually into me.
She is right and I agree with her. When i met my hubsand and it was something that caught my eye when we went on our first date to Panera Bread. He wanted to ask me out on a second date but i beat him to it by asking him out to a nice coffee cafe for lunch and we went on a bike ride adventure date. We both put effort into each other afterwards. We also enjoy our bike ride and lakefront time.

@DR--- You definitely misconstrued the concept of those responsibilities. Neither one of those proves to be dominant or submissive acts. They are just roles that are taken by a man or woman. True leadership is guidance and accountability. A man is meant to lead and guide his family, and as a privilege of submitting to that man's plan, the family receives protection and provision. A woman is expected to nurture as it is her role under that protection and provision. Nobody gets a free ride. We just have different responsibilities under the family dynamic.

I would chase man in my 20's it never work now I'm in my mid 40's close to 50. I don't have the age,time or patience to chase any man. I'm way to busy with work, learning a new dance , a new language etc. Have a high value man interested in me but his always busy with work. I'm not waiting on him for anything. When I was a youngsta, my older cousin told me the same thing. Make sure she loves you more than you love her. Make sense but still complicated. The sense part it's so easy for women to get any type of men, and women get hit on a daily basis. If she is not disciplined, she can get easily distracted. The complication is how would you really know she loves you more than you love her, it's murky. The bottom line is just be real, and don't fool yourself into love.
In marriage that shouldn't apply
My girl and I are a lil different from some couples when it comes to texting. If you look at our text conversation, it looks like I text her wayyyy more than she texts me, and I do. But our situation is different. She works from home and doesn’t ever want to leave the house without me while I work full time and get sent out of state for a few weeks a year for training. I prefer texting, she prefers calling, and she uses IG or FB messenger to text me back when she does text cause she’s already on it sending me cat videos and the like. So I’ll text her rq while I’m working and she’ll call me to reply or use whatever app she’s on at the time to text back. In the end our actual text conversation looks like I’m blowing her up in between her responses lol.

I think it is true in some cases but not in all cases and men will be able to see the signs from the women who are. I love my King, I loved cooking for him, and everything. I loved just being in his presence. I saw no one but him. There is nothing that could separate us except death and unfortunately that is what happen. I have been single every since because my love for him is still so strong. It is something you just do not get over quickly when you truly love someone with you soul none of the superficial stuff matters.

I have even heard men say: "it never ends. Even if you marry, throughout the marriage, you still have to make sure she is convinced she is more interested in you, than you are in her" or I don't recall the exact wording but it sounded like a complete nightmare.
Why can't the man and woman just mutually embrace each other minus any games or all these over complications?
I serve The Lord and believe His Word... rather people like it or not, women were made to be help mates for us men. This is not to say they are lesser, or not as important or valuable as us men... but here is the thing: even people who try to deny the scriptures have to admit this is true and self evident in existence *IF THEY ARE BEING HONEST.* Men have invented well over 99% of all that has been invented (probably like 99.9999%) we are not just physically stronger... not saying we are better, just different... but HERE IS THE THING:
they are designed to be our help mates (even through clear reason observing humanity objectively this is the obvious overall order AND peak effeciency most sustainable course as well as most prosperous and enoyable for both)... but WITH THIS BEING THE CASE: WHY DO SO MANY OF THEM SO ANXIOUSLY PERSUE THE EXACT OPPOSITE!!!?? Why do they want to make it all harder for us!!!??? Why instead of getting on our team and building with us, do they often want to be pampered and entertained to the extent that it makes life worse and more difficult with them than without, despite the opposite being the ideal and rightful design??? Early stages? Ok... I get that.
But down the road, a man should want to love his wife and not have to feel like he needs to watch it and tip toe on some ridiculous discombobulated twisted version of "egg shells" of a "don't be too into her" variety or something to that effect. It seems exhausting to be with someone who you'd want to spend your life with, devoted to the point of protecting and providing sacrificially as a central part of your existence and yet... it's "against the rules" to love her and enjoy her accordingly? I believe a husband and wife should love each other second only to God. This notion of having to just bottle it up etc seems horrific. I mean, if a man loves a woman enough to marry her it's almost never a question of if he loves her on that level but more... is he forced to keep her guessing and hide it on some level AND WITH THAT have to do all that crazy balancing act of figuring out what measure to hide vs reveal etc etc.

@MissCombs1511 I think the sentiment is perceived negatively because you view it as all or nothing. The truth is that no relationship will ever have true equal love. One person will always love more than the other, deep down, no matter what is said or done. The reason why it should be the woman, tho, is simply because of the behavior women exhibit based on their feelings. It's far more acceptable for women to show a wide range of fluctuations in that regard, without men losing attraction for that woman. However, if the man is found to behave that way, it is far more off-putting and causes a loss of attraction. It's the main reason why women say they want a softer man but are always more attracted to emotionally unavailable men. It's just the way we were designed. For a relationship to work, there can't be an equal exchange of love felt, but there can be an equal exchange of love expressed. And I think that's the difference between our grandparents and us. Even when they didn't feel the love, they still did the work and showed love, the best they could. Today, we're just not going to do that. Everyone feels entitled.

I am such a believer in looking at current status (problem) so we can map out where we are trying to go, and how we'll know when we've gotten there. I think our current relationship challenges need us to learn from our past without going there. Let's get back to basics of women having and expressing respect, our men having and expressing love. I think it's an efficient way of running relationships anyway even if women bring in double, have the stock portfolio etc. The bottom line is a broke man needs a woman's respect to catch up (if that's important) or even just to be in his position to be able to love his woman.
Love and respect cannot be based on or depend on variable factors, only principles.
