Maybe I was just raised different than her, but I was raised to not trust everyone I meet and to go with your gut if you feel uncomfortable in a situation. Had I been in that situation, I would (if I didn't already have the funds) called mom, dad, sis, cousin or best friend, let them know what's going on and borrow money to get home.

Hell my daughter 8 already experienced this at early age . I used to do play dates for her and her friend . The friend would go to school acting different towards my daughter . Idk this was going on until my daughter told me . I told her to stay away the friends my daughter had was one sided they gang up on her even when she separated herself from them . They started to gossip about her my daughter no longer friends with the girls they all was close since first grade . It sucks that the friendship ended due to the girls feeling like my daughter was too nice .

Two years ago my sister announced that May 2024 was her graduation date.
Being who I am I sent her some cruise information as I wanted to take her on a cruise for her gift. Mind you, May is also her birthday month. I wanted her to pick the cruise then I was going to send out the announcement to the other sisters in our family. My mom had 7 girls, and one boy. I told my sister that I only wanted this trip to be for us sisters, biological sisters.
Needless to say, after picking out the cruise and sending out invitations, I got a call from her telling me that she invited 10 of her friends from the University she'd met along the way while in college.
As she was speaking I became quiet. She asked me why was I quiet. I took a deep breath and said, “Why would you invite your college buddies when I specifically said this trip was only for the sisters?”
She laughed and said, “As I told them what we were doing they said they wanted to go too.
I politely said, “then y'all go and I'll take myself somewhere else.”
Nevertheless, at this point, none of the sisters wanted to go and we informed her of our decision to let her and her buddies go without us and at this point, ALL of these people bailed out on her.
I'm not sorry for not wanting to hang out with people who I don't.

It’s hard making friends grown. Try to stay in touch with childhood/high school friends. Hold on…even the main girl that she made social media friends with was feeling some-kind-a-way towards her. She never brought her again, just the entire group when speaking.
There is no way I would have stayed in that room with them. I would have gotten my own room and stayed away from them from the first time I felt uncomfortable.

So many red flags in this story. She should have just got up and finished her vacation solo. As women, we have a habit /thingwhen it comes to social compliance. Not to "rock the boat" Im against this. I forgot her name, but there was a young woman that got deleted in Mexico because of "so-called" friends. Like Hassan Campbell says, "Pay attention to your circle, before they hurt you." And Pay attention to that Female feeling called "Women's intuition." It can save your life. It be your guardian angel talking to you.
