Brilliant video. I was there too. I did the sprint race at the Freibad on Friday. The kids raced Saturday. And my brother banged out 12:36 on Sunday. While I had an epic spectating day. Keep truckin' Dan.
It's crazy how modest you are. Sub-10 Roth is a huge achievement and I cannot even dream about anything close to this. Truly amazing performance, Dan. Great camera work and reporting from Liz. I could feel the emotions you shared. As somebody who watches your journey, I'm so happy for you, Dan.
Well done Dan, think it’s amazing that you finished, loved the start when you kept shouting “I did challenge Roth” that’s what I’d do too, you should be proud and tell people it’s an awesome achievement 😊👍💪
Cracking effort mate. It has been truly inspiring following the journey. I have a feeling this wont be the pinnacle of it but what a superb point to reach. Well done mate
I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, your performance was amazing and you are so modest about it! Really enjoyed this insight and there a many points that I’ll take with me for next year though I’ll be several hours slower!
What did you say Daniel? I couldn’t quite make it out? Shout it a bit louder 😂 So pleased for you. What a time! Just shows consistency and commitment pay off. Savour it all you deserve it.
Damn, I got 4:53h at NP196/AP186 (soft dohgnut ride) this year... I was training and producing 205-215w on spesific sessions so bit bummed... But end result of 9:32 more than made up to it..
"Did I tell you about the time I did the Triple Brutal" has become "Did I tell you about the time I went sub-10 at Challenge Roth" 😂 Well done again mate and a great recap of the day.
I knew u can pedal, but run was a suprise bth ... could u break ur running millage 2 months leading to the event... I am also around 90kg and at the moment can run max 1 week due the foot injury, but looking for some minimal effective dosage

What a weekend! Awesome stuff, well done to you all! Thanks for the support :)
What a great insight into what it takes to do a full distance, from nutrition intake, right down to the involuntary urination! Thanks Dan.
Thanks very much :)

Great time Dan. You were looking strong on the run when I saw you (TriPreston)💪🏻
Thanks, well done to you too! Appearances can be deceiving ;)
Brilliant mate, a very modest review of an amazing effort, you're looking very fresh considering!
Cheers Ian!

Those dogs weren't looking for treats Dan, they could just smell the sub 10 success on you
Hahaha love this

We had TBJ now it’s CRD 😂super videozsrirs on this again Dan
Haha it's not got the same ring to it has it! Cheers Mark
Great overview. Thnks
Thanks Ian!
Shouting across the field…Priceless 🤣🤣😬
Gotta make sure ;)
A 10 hr ironman with 4 weeks of training is crazy! Nice work!
Cheers Jason! I have been doing a "lot" of training, just not specific to the full distance, it's still a swim/ bike/ run isn't it :D

It’s the run that stood out. Well done! I do feel that you missed the opportunity to inform the dogs there that you did Challenge Roth :(
It stood out in my mind too, mainly due to the pain! Thanks :D haha the dogs could sense it ;)
"Did I tell you about the time I did the Triple Brutal" has become "Did I tell you about the time I went sub-10 at Challenge Roth" 😂 Well done again mate and a great recap of the day.
hahahaha can't wait to tell TBJ this :D
Top work, hun. Which do you think had the better atmosphere? Ironman Wales or Roth.
Cheers! Ahhhh it's so hard to call. I think Wales has a different vibe to it and probably edges it in my opinion
Great pointers, at some time you will do another full distance. Don’t kid yourself😂.
Haha probably, cheers! Just need to wait for me to forget the pain
What do you mean never doing another full distance!?! How far are you from WC qualification times?
Ha I said this last year too! It depends on which race, but I'd still say 45mins-1hr over the full distance. I might get it when I'm 70-74
I knew u can pedal, but run was a suprise bth ... could u break ur running millage 2 months leading to the event... I am also around 90kg and at the moment can run max 1 week due the foot injury, but looking for some minimal effective dosage
Cheers! It was just 5.5 lunchtime runs :)
did u go to joe's beer mile ?
We had to leave before it unfortunately :(
@@TriathlonDan shame, would have been good content
@@markroe4952 I’m actually pretty decent at necking pints tbh 😂 another time!
Which race did you do again 😂😂
Pull up a chair.... :D
all good events start with a swim?
Never had a swim at the start of a bike event. Like EVER!
Hahaha I thought exactly this after I'd said it
