I would never call them raw, unless that means good now. They were ruthless. Classic Led Zepp. Go Jimmy. Jonesy played about 5 instruments. We only had lighters back then, no cellphones. Plants voice is like Jimmie's playing-Magical! Jimmy was so on point when he matched Robert's singing. I was in love with Robert.
There is only a few that really have that incredible magic energy about them, like its almost impossible to imagine they really happened. It's a different vibe but this and Sabbaths Paris/Brussels 1970 shows are the only ones that give me that feeling of awe
I was blessed to see them n 1973 in Atlanta at the stadium. Ok drugs may have been taken but my memory is clear as a bell. Plant standing onstage about 50 feet from me was seriously like being in heaven for there was no man sexier than Robert f’ing Plant onstage, pouting, posing, quivering. Page just killed it that night, his playing was superb. Best night of my life. Annie
Beautiful reaction. Probably the most epic live performance in rock history. Just when you think it's devolving into chaos, they pull it right back in. So brilliant.
I didn't find any music past the 70's and very early 80's that piqued my interest, until the "Grunge music" started up here, in the PNW, in the late 80's, early 90's.
The Golden God sings with his whole body and soul. He's a vocal and visual orgasm! Even the security guard was hypnotized by his presence. How could anyone not be! 😏
Robert Plant was called "The Golden God" I saw them twice when I was 16 (and hormonal) he was my teenage fantasy!!! And to this day ( I am 61) I adore the artistry in their music. I passed their music to my son and hopefully he will pass it along to his son!!!
One of the best songs from The Song Remains the Same. Robert Plant killed it on vocals and Jimmy's guitar playing speaks for itself. Glad you enjoyed it bro.😄👍🤟
This is my favorite Led Zeppelin songs and this is my favorite filmed performance of it. None of their live performances are ever the same - so their songs never sound exactly the same from performance to performance. FYI JPJ is playing organ and carrying the bass line with his feet on bass pedals - awesome!! Hope you'll delve into their live performances like this one - available on bootleg in audio - a whole different world from the studio recordings. Thanks!
Jimmy Page didn't play the guitar; he made love to it. He gave it it's voice, and it sang for him. When he and Robert Plant would riff off of each other, it was amazing.
First time I saw them in 1975 they didn't play this song and I was crushed. I was highly anticipating it. But, in 1977 I saw them and they did play it. It seemed doubly great that night. Seems like Jimmy is playing one long solo from the beginning to the end. The look on the policeman's face at 6:50 says it all.
Mark G - great recollection you have. That is so awesome that you got to see them in 1975 ! What city or cities did you see them in or was it the same city ? On their 1975 tour - they only played Since I've Been Loving You - three times. For 1977, the slowed it way down, which gave it cooler dynamics. Looking forward to hearing from you.
@@turnsufficient4971 In 1975 I saw them at the Richfield Coliseum near Cleveland. In 1977 it was at the Pontiac Silverdome. They did not play This song in 75. I rece3ntly heard a boot of both of these concerts on UA-cam. Not the best quality but its fun to hear them again. I would say you also have a good memory. Hard to forget Zeppelin.
@Mark G. Awesome info ! They filmed the Silverdome show, but can't locate the film or the multi-track recordings. Led Zeppelin played Since I've Been Loving You --- three times on their 1975 US Tour.
@@turnsufficient4971 Wouldn't mind seeing that myself. I did not know that. It was a wild concert. They said 77,000 people but I think there were more.
Jeez, i must have watched & listened to this about 300 times, without exageration, & that security guard is hypnotised, he has never heard or seen any band like Zeppelin. If a fight broke out right now, he would not be able to do anything about it because right there he is a fan, he looks like he is in shock.
thank you amigo. you're reaction makes me happier. Gracias.like hanging out wiith friends. Most of them are too busy with other Sh*t. So, good to see you.
I was in high school in the 70's and I've always loved this music. When I watch these videos with you it's like sitting down with a new friend & reexperiencing it for the 1st time again. You have a lot of insight, you're a skilled listener. Lots of today's music is uninspired and dumbs down out listening skills (not all, there is good stuff out there!). Your positive reactions & observations are a gift to those of us who experienced this music the 1st time around. Thanks for round 2 and thanks for keeping great music alive!
The beauty in the white pixie hood and her fella are sure feeling that good acid, as were so many that night. Really good to seeing you getting into some proper music mate. Stay safe and be lucky......
I just subscribe because you're listening to Led Zeppelin which is one of my favorite band of all time, saw them sooo many times as a teenager in the 70's , l'm in my 60's now and still listen to these Legends🤟😜
Hi Pop... up to this point, Zep was a men thing- men loved the band, women didn't know or care. Here, Robert is 24 and is at the height of his performing/ sensual powers... and women took the 'bait'. This point- right here- Zep became #1 target of groupies (so said Buttercup and Pamela, two of the most famous whose words were carried in Rolling Stone magazine). And it's also the source of the saying, pointing to the screaming women: there wasn't a dry seat in the house! Yeah- I'm old enough to remember...
Not true! We were on board from day one! Maybe the groupies weren't following them yet but female FM radio listeners were. I've got the eight tracks to prove it! The first album was huge and I don't know anyone who didn't own Zeppelin II...male or female.

It's GREAT. A completely different flick than sober. I stumbled on it tripping and could believe what it was. Good luck.
Great reaction to a legendary band. Please check out ‘Kashmir’ from the live ‘Celebration Day’ performance. The guys are a lot older, and the late John Bonham’s place is taken by his son Jason, but it proves that even though many years have passed, they can still raise the roof!
The women they picked out in the crowd next to the guy with his mouth open was Robert Plant's wife, she was born in India, but moved with her parents when very young to Birmingham, England. Robert was born 6 miles away in West Bromwich .

They were, are and WILL ALWAYS BE the ultimate rock band.
Maybe for classic rock, I can name so many better rock bands of different sub-genres tho.
@Tom Jones no you just like the most basic shit, theyre really good but not the best band by a longshot.
@@titan6070 nah you’re taste in music is just shit, they are the pioneers of the shit you listen to, so it’s automatically the goat of that genre.
