Eorna Oir (Glenrothes 13yo)

This weeks review is a new bottle and bottler the Eorna Oir, a private cask bottling from the legend of the whisky industry who is David Boys, a legend who has over 40 years in the whisky industry and worked at some of the best distilleries and brought us cracking whisky. He has accumulated the best casks over his time in the trade and has now came to let us enjoy these by bottling some of his collection. First up is a Glenrothes 13yo, and to help with this journey a whisky shop close to my heart The Scottish Gantry have helped with the bottling and selling of these new drams.

Thanks for yet another great review Kevin.
Not a big fan of Glenrothes myself. So I will not be first in line to try it, but there certainly will be whisky enthousiasts that will enjoy this.

Great looking bottle, think with the proliferation of cask ownership we are going to see a lot more private bottlings put up for sale, as a way of cashing in on these expensive cask purchases and realising the money value. Hope to see you on Thursday.

The bunna is cracking! I’ll review that in a couple of weeks 😁. I did the Gantry is more or less where it all started for me and I’m still in all the time helping out too. 🥃
