Scarabus whisky review

Another un corking of this independent bottling of Scarabus from Hunter Laing. See my first thoughts as we go through nose and taste. Price point too. Will this be a whisky we enjoy only one way to find out. An islay single malt, but can we figure out which distillery?

Always enjoy the mystery in trying to figure out the source of these type of releases. Sounds like one of (the minority if I am honest) peated whiskies that I might even like. Cheers Kev!

Hi Kevin, bought this for a friends birthday in December. Really enjoyed it. Got it for $40.00 US. My guess it is Coal Ila.

Good guess with the Caol Ila, the other possibility would be peated Buna.
