    I absolutely agree that lowering audio quality down to the lowest possible setting is not always necessary. There are some PS1 games that have surprisingly crisp and clear sounding audio, mostly the voice lines.

    if you ask me, PS1 nostalgia is so relevant that it would be supercool to have new games in PS1 aesthetics (maybe with older mechanic, maybe on the other hand with newer ones so it would be realy some new mix).

    All classic games such as RE8 (not actually classic yet), Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 were All made back in 90s where 3D became revolution.
    Does that mean Cyberpunk 2077 was succesor to Back to the Future that ironically after real 30 years passed nothing changed at all to have Hoverboards or hovercars.

    Good way to make models for games that run on old engines like the Goldsrc Engine which was used for Half-Life back in 1998 or the Quake 2 engine back in 1997.

    Nice. Ya made it look easy.
    Funny enough, I wouldn't call your animations professional, but this is literally what professional animation work is. It's mostly DIY work that gets honed over extended periods, and then applied to something practical like a picture or film or a program.
    Years, even months of work can develop a skilled enough hand to make convincing content. It also depends how creative you are as a person. Understanding the details and being intricate where it counts.
    I know this, because I've seen all sorts of content. Quality content, Triple A content. Doesn't matter how much money or man power you throw into a work. It's the people behind it that matters. A whole dev team can make a dumpster fire. One man who starts with nothing can animate a film or create a game that goes on to become a hit.
    It starts with stuff like this. It seems basic, and it probably is, but anything is basic at the start. From a simple platformer to a complex fighting game, everyone starts by moving around and pressing one or two buttons. Same with art. You start with one or two programs, move your mouse curser in circles, eventually you have a list of moves you can use, you have a list of models and audio files, like a trophy cabinet you can actually use.
    The point of this dumb analogy is that people like simple things. It helps you understand and discover new things. That's all a skill really is. It's your brain making ideas, and your muscles getting faster and better at completing them.
    I'm impressed that you took a simple concept as PS1 style graphics, and turned it into an unforgettable series. It's some of my favorite stuff to watch. I hope more people do stuff like this. Maybe someone will make a PS1 style machinma film with actual action set pieces. The stuff one can do with a simple idea is amazing. Look at Kitty0706 and DafaqBoom's channels for instance. Even GamerPoop.

    • @and3rs
      @and3rs  2 роки тому +1

      I guess so if your animation software has a psx shader... and yeah absolutely, you can use the psx shader for games!

    • @novayussof9232
      @novayussof9232 2 роки тому

      @@and3rs Wait i got confused with the animation part. In order to create animation in PSX Shader, I should have other software such as Blender? Sorry if I ask confusing question.

    • @and3rs
      @and3rs  2 роки тому

      @@novayussof9232 Yep, usually you animate in another software like Blender and then import into a game engine where you use a shader that does the psx effect. But if you're just wanting to animate and render a video out directly in a modeling/animation software with a psx shader then I think there is one that exists for Blender. So you wouldn't need to import into a game engine.

    I'm sorry. I didn't want to say anything, but now that you mention it, it feels like a computer game from that era, or a Nintendo 64 that uses disc instead of carts. Feels too advanced for a psx, too much 3D and viewing distance at the same time... Or maybe I'm wrong. But the grafics feel like n64 with proper textures.
    Anyway... Don't mind the nerd shit. It's great art.

      When I think of psx I remember ff7 and resident evil, all 2d except the main character... And if it's full 3d I remember silent hill... With a fog that doesn't give you much view distance.
