I'd say there's only one mistake in your video, it's about fans thinking miles is not a spider-man, i think that's a misinterpretation, what i've seen in discussion about miles, is that comic book miles can't be spider-man becasuse MARVEL does not allow miles to be spider-man, he was always meant to be the new spider-man of the ultimate universe BUT because of a bigger marvel event the ultimate universe got destroyed and miles moved to the mainline universe where there's so many spider-people already, fans want miles to be spider-man but he simply can't while living in a universe where he isn't allowed to ever outshine the original, while movie miles has a ton of room to grow the stories of comic book miles always revolve around him joining teams or an endless loop of telling people that he is different from the normal spider-man, comicstorian has a video called "the problem with miles morales" that explains this way better, all the discussion about comic book mies revolves about marvel not knowing what to do with him

He does “bad” things cause that’s pretty much the only way to survive after his dad passed. Both Miles fighting together makes sense narrative wise, by accepting himself, all of him including what he could have become, Miles will complete his character arc.
Also remember Spot have a single weakness: he can run out of spots, that the reason he dimension hopped to get more so the final battle will be a game of numbers.

@@A1K300 ??? The first one, while I’ll admit was very good, is less than this. It pretty much is a regular Spider-man origin story with the appearance of different Spider-people. It was creative with the spin on the origin story with the twist and turns but this one is significantly more personal with the fleshing out of many characters. Plus just like Miles says, “ima do my own thing”, that’s what they did by really deconstructing what it means to be Spider-man. Being slow and building characters is bad now? You must hate TLOTR films then.

I’ve seen it twice and it gets better the longer it sits with me. It’s not a retread of the same Spider-Man lore we’ve all seen. It doesn’t rely on winks and nods to tell its story. And I’ll be damned if these animated characters don’t feel more real than most of the human characters of the last 3 years of superhero cinema. And even removing the film from the genre, it’s still an incredible feat of storytelling and animation. It’s just an instant classic and I can’t wait for the resolution!

All the foreshowing, character development. I could go one I was nervous cause part 1 was kinda hard to beat but I guess I’ll trust the writers they clearly have a Vision.

Spot was my favourite character. I’ve always had a soft *spot* for the guy and they adapted him into the big screen in the best way I could think of- preserve the goofiness which made me love the character in the first place, and then gave me vindication by turning him into a total badass with some absolutely amazing animation.
Additionally, I told my friend that it would be a perfect film if Spot was the guy who got bagel’d in the first movie AND IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED!

I appreciate how this film brings back the classic style of trilogies (like Star Wars, LotR, Back to the Future and Avatar Last Airbender) with one solid first film and sequel with twists and turns that ends with cliffhanger to set up for a epic conclusion.
Nothing against big epic arcs that are build up through many films. Sometimes it works like the MCU Infinity Saga and Harry Potter films, but a story with a beginning (first film), middle (second film) and ending (third film) is more memorable than keeping the characters going despite their main stories already been completed.

You included Avatar, as if TV shows don't do that anymore. Disney TVA would like to have a word:
      "I- I'm sorry for everything." 😱🗡️🦎
      "Hey mom.. I'm back..." 😞
      "Goodbye... Goodbye everyone!" 🫥
"If the McDucks want an adventure, we'll give them their last!" 🕴️
But this is definitely the first second part of a film trilogy that has a major cliffhanger in a while. And the first animated example in... Ever! I mean, there are some amazing animated trilogies out there, but their second parts have endings that are usually self contained. Toy Story 2 and How to Train Your Dragon 2 have themes that follow the next film. Kung Fu Panda 2 has an early bird cameo from Li Shan, Po's dad, who gets a major role in the next film. And Puss in Boots 2 has a Post credit scene that implies Shrek and the gang are going to be in the 3rd film. But all those movies still have happy endings that just set up possibilities in the future. This one leaves everything in shambles and makes us have to see the next film to see what's going to happen next.

@@kylemorello4787 Some TV shows do that but doesn't have much solid story, with alot of filler and unrelated threats for the heroes deal. Avatar was always one single story, Aang needs to defeat Fire Lord Ozai, instead of doing like Korra in which each season had a different villain.
Infinity Saga may seem like trilogy because it's made in three phases, however because it takes place in shared universe, it's also made of many movies and trilogies with different protagonists. rather than one single story with the same protagonist from beginning to end.

They elevated that to the next level, and I can't wait to see where Miles goes from here.

I will say this, the use of Fatalism by both Antagonists of this film is clever in that it reflects what each Antagonist NEEDS "Fate" to be. For Spot, he blames Miles for everything he lost, and so he MUST be the only thing he has left. Miles' "True Nemesis". While for Miguel, no matter what sort of validity his arguments on "canon" might have, his "Miles is an Anomaly" is really just an extension of his projection onto Miles.
Both are cherry picking "Fate" in different ways to what is most convenient for a conclusion they need to be true; because its whats propping them up through SO MUCH sacrifice and suffering. Spot clinging to his Animosity towards Miles and his "need to be recognized after losing his face"; while Miguel clinging to his Responsibility and his "need for all that trauma to "mean something". But on a philosophic level, if you're taking the stance of Fatalism ... unless time-travel is involved, its "whatever happens, was always meant to happen". You can't just ignore parts of Fate contradictory to your argument. Both Spot and Miguel have, because they need what they're saying it to be true. As they're barely holding themselves together (Spot fritzing out, Miguel "holding the Multiverse together"). And so, they've taken steps to make sure that "Fate" becomes true.
In short, this movie is very good. Its challenging a lot of classic Spidey tropes while also showing them nothing but respect.

I think the "foreshadowing" of the Spot on Into the Spider-verse is a great example of backfilling.
My understanding is that they did not know the Spot was going to *be* the villain until they got deep into working on it. Once they did, tho, they wrote a visual scene with the Spot that called back to Miles' graffiti.

She helped allowing this movie to also hold on its own because her story has a conclusion l. Shes a flawed character (finally not a mary sue) who wants to protect the people she cares for and only ends up hurting them, at the end she learns that the best way to do that is to actually tell people the truth rather than lie for "their own good". Maybe its cause been there and done that. But that was my favourite arc in the story. The Alice in Wonderland reference is confirmed when Peter Parker looks into the mirror in the beginning of the first movie. This is the Looking-Glass. Can't wait for the 3rth movie and i'm glad someone finaly understands the cleif hanger
You talked a litle about the music wich i can't agree on. The music is better than the one from into the spider-verse but it suffers bc isn't as iconic as sunflower and whatsapp danger wich is a shame bc i rly think am i dreaming, hummingbird, calling and annihilate blows the old ones out of the water but they woren't used as good so the only way to rly apreciate 'em is to lisen to the playlists and discover 'em that way
Also, gwen is my favorite. She skyrocketed from 4rth to 1 this movie. I knew hsr story at the time that i seen the fhirst movie and even tho is neerly copy and paste, atsv ads soo much needed depth in her character synce in the fhirst one,she was seen too much as a badass, considering her story. This movie corects it. Spider-punk was my 2nd choice bc of obvious reasons

i love that its a spiderman story that is critical about what makes a spiderman story, i am almost certain that miguels theory of "canon" is wrong, and that it is to say that *anyone* can be spiderman, the eternal repetition and stagnation of spiderman stories is not inherent and doesnt need to exist. spiderman doesnt need to be defined by tragedy. and i think thats beautiful.
both this and everything everywhere all at once, my other favorite multiverse movie, are deeply introspective and thoughtful about themselves

The message I got from this film is that nobody’s life is filled with complete tragedy. Sure, horrible things will always happen in our lives. But the idea is that things will always get better if you are willing to try and don’t accept defeat. This is why I had a problem with The Last of Us 2 when compared to its predecessor. The first game showed that there’s always hope, no matter how dark and depressing the situation is. Meanwhile the second game throws that all out of the window, basically saying that life continues to get worse even when you have hope. Uncle Aaron needed to die in order for Miles’ to have the motivation to keep going and to never give up on what he wants to do. That doesn’t mean his dad needs to die as well

I know I’m late to the party, but here’s my 10 cents on Spider-Verse. Miles wasn’t a mistake, because the Spider Totems don’t make mistakes. Miles was always meant to become Spider-Man, just maybe not the Miles that we follow in the movies. With the collider pulling the 42 spider into Miles’ universe, it still had to fulfill its purpose, and it found the Miles of that universe.

I want the MCU to end spiderman Peter Parker by having Tom hollands Peter grow a little more and when he's in mid 20s or 30s meet miles and mentors him
Than after miles has more experience as spidey than peter marrying Mary jane watson played by an actual hot and fiery redhead or a gwen stacy and ofcoz having mayday parker
So basically Peter settles and "retires" from spiderman but sets off the his legacy towards miles and later mayday spiderwoman
    Miles can mentor mayday
Also side-step I also want tom hollands Peter parker be an "uncle" to Morgan stark growing up and maybe even mentor Morgan a little too
Cuz Tony starks such a huge part of his life
Majority complained that Tom hollands spidey has a lotta mentors so it'd be cool over time as he ages he will be the mentor to a bunch of aspiring young heroes

Great video, I've never understood why people stick so close to canon given how much it's changed over the years.
Flash's mom was never murdered until the late 2000's
Bruce at one point was a happy guy married to Catwoman with a daughter.
Superman used to let bad guys die and spank Lois for being "lippy".
Wonder Woman used to be a golem, now shes a goddess.
Magneto's real name has even changed over time.
I care about a good story plain and simple, the continuity is a far far smaller concern.
In the comics, Green Arrow is a wisecracking liberal jokester, but Stephen Amell did his own thing with it and it worked really well.
The creators of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds have gone on record saying they don't care about being 100% faithful to continuity.
This film is using Spider-man 2099 as a way to tell us to stop being so focused on continuity and we all really need to listen.

To be honest, wasn't always too fawned of miles,
Don't get me wrong, It was a fresh new idea back then
Seeing someone else's PERSPECTIVE on being SPIDER-MAN
what his journey was like and HOW he experiences the the mantle WILL SHAKE HIM TO THE CORE
AND WHAT MAKES HIM IS OWN SPIDER-MAN
and they had some Good IDEAS in the comics
but they weren't really Expanded Upon,
To put it plainly Miles was just "THE BLACK SPIDERMAN" at the Time👨🏿🕷️😒
And that disappointed me, because I'm black myself
and I HAVE SEEN DIVERSE AND INTERESTING takes on the character work BETTER in the past LIKE 2099
    SO much potential
I didn't read the character because he was black
there were already black characters that i could relate TO
    like LUKE CAGE And BLADE
But being black was apart of their character,
I will say that the comics did GOOD THINGS
but it wasn't NOT something done before
And it was kind of turned off for me 😔
    AND THEN SPIDER-VERSE CAME!!!!!
They took that ground that was laid and expanded upon it
Showed the importance of being a hero but also having your own style about it
The good thing about being Spider-Man is that ANYBODY can be him
    AND MILES PROVED THAT
The great thing about Peter Parker is
    That he's like anybody
He has problems and life worries, but still chooses to be true and persevere
That's what it means to be spider man
No I'm not saying Miles was BAD because he was just "race swap"
I DON'T RELATE TO MILES BECAUSE OF HIS RACE
I RELATE TO MILES BECAUSE I WAS A YOUNG TEENAGER LOOKING TO BE SOMETHING IN LIFE
HECK, I JUST GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL NOT TOO LONG AGO
And they use the expansion of spider-verse to explain that,
You can tell when something is motivated by a strong idea,
    ESPECIALLY IN STORYTELLING
You may not always be able spell it out in words
What that is what the defines a good and bad story
It's not bad to have new ideas,
And it's not bad to build off old ones
but if those ideas don't go lead anywhere what's the the point
But in one way or another
We all relate to spider man
    To put it shortly...
STAN LEE SAID ANYBODY COULD BE SPIDER MAN
BUT MILES IN SPIDER-VERSE CAME AND PROVED IT

@@YAHSHUA777 He actually has a little sister named Billie Morales. And she was introduced in the previous run by Saladin Ahmed, that run is before the current one with Zilgar.
You could start with that one and then start the Zilgar one afterward since it introduces 5 new personal villains for Miles and a new love interest, but that's if you're interested in it. (Miles also goes through a traumatic event in that run too, so there's another incentive.)
As for the current run, right now Miles is currently fighting Cletus Kasidy and getting his ass kicked, so that's not really a good party for him to be at.
But that began in the mini crossover Carnage Reigns. (which he's currently going through right now)
As for how the run starts, it starts with introducing another new villain for Miles, but this is one is someone tied to his past before he even became Spider-Man.
It starts back with him winning the lottery and getting into Brooklyn Visions, his new villain was in that lottery and they didn't get in unfortunately and because of that things that were already going downhill for them, took a dark turn after that defining moment.
Right after finding out that he was Spider-Man, they became a villain dedicated to killing Miles and destroying everything he loves.
Their name is Rabble and honestly my guy, THIS is the personal villain Miles really needed after his Uncle Aaron died in the Ultimate comics. They're motivations for going after Miles are hypocritical though, but I like that. They're going after him because they're putting all of their anger, rage and pain onto Miles instead of doing something positive with it.
If anything, it's really them having a tragic backstory and becoming a villain from it, and you can still call out their bullshit with their actions. Which is great, at least to me.
Once you read the book and see what I mean, it'll become clear that Ziglar took inspiration from a right winger analogy and it really works here with Rabble in my opinion.
You're welcome to disagree with it though.😅
One more thing, this is the first "arc" of the new run called "Trial By Spider" it has some really cool variant covers that I recommend you check out and by the last issue, you'll really love it a lot due to a cool surprise.
That and the arc focuses on undeserving privilege and the educational system of America being unfair to those in need as the main themes in the book. I really enjoyed them since they made me question a lot but I won't spoil that much no more.
      I hope you enjoy reading!
