This is so relatable. I keep my keys in a little basket hanging from my front door. This tiny habit has saved me hours of my life. When you mentioned the remorse I felt that! But you are correct, we have to let that go. I also use my phone in the morning to stay on track. I repeatedly set the timer for 7-10 minutes and that helps me to stay on track. If I have to organize something I approach it in small doses. If I try to do it all at once I will end up with a huge mess. So instead of organizing the kitchen, I will do one shelf. Anyway, stay positive, adult adhd can be a superpower, especially if you are working with children who need someone who understands the struggle 🙏
Yes!! I love your comment! You’re right, organizing has to be done in small doses. I felt so accomplished once I recognized that. Adult ADHD is definitely a superpower that I use when working with kids. As a teacher, I go into hyperfocus mode and every little thing they do, I catch. 😅. I love that part of it! Thank you for your support!
Hey Tiff! I'm glad you're sharing this. I deal with some of these same symptoms myself. Awareness is key so it's great that you're acknowledging this is finding tools to help you.
