As someone who has played semi pro poker out of a port town on and off since I was 18 I can say that fishing boat is a terrible idea for a gambler. Most of the people who I played against were people who came off of boats and were playing poker with their crew mates for months on end. If you want to help a gambler put them to work in a factory. Too exhausting to gamble regularly I've found

There's never a time in history where sympathy helped anyone. It doesn't happen. It's a way for lazy and selfish people to boast about how good of a person they are, nothing more. My cousin was an addict for over 20 years. Has had nearly 10 children, none of which he raised, been to rehab 6 times and failed after each stint and has nearly OD’d a couple times. Nothing worked to get him clean. A family member inherited a farm in the middle of nowhere and I mean like a 3 hour drive to any sort of civilization besides other farms. They sent him there and told him that if he ever comes back before he’s clean, they’re throwing him in jail. He’s been there for 2 years now and is clean, has a job as the farm manager and is getting his life back on track for the first time in 2 decades. Your idea is this guys best bet!

My father had a client who, along with his wife, were “recreational” gamblers. My father lectured him repeatedly they needed to stop, but they considered it their entertainment. One year they lost $110,000 and won $105,000. You’d think ok, at least it was only $5,000, but because of how the US records winnings as income and doesn’t measure losses equally, they had to claim an additional $110,000 as income in their taxes without enough to offset it. They ended up moving into a higher tax bracket, had to pay a higher percentage in taxes, and lost their three college age children financial scholarships. It was terrible but they wouldn’t stop.

I mean, not really? For one thing, recording artists don't live at the studio or get to be alone in it so there's only so much damage you can do to one.
But more importantly, record deals are about whether the artist is able to sell records/get streams, which usually comes from real artistry and a real fanbase but it can also come from being the talk of the moment and having listeners in the short term because of the hype. Viral sensations have been known to get them just for being viral sensations and that's probably what this guy was going for, but it didn't pan out because it wasn't interesting or viral enough.

You MUST have an emergency fund and be able to at least pay your bills and have some left over cor wither play or saving. Start small, but saving is addictive. In just a few years I've packed away nearly 30k (a one year emergency fund for my family and I) and once you get to that point, as long as you don't get yourself into stupid debt just save up and buy whatever your little heart desires. Stress and guilt free!

But yeah, you REALLY ARE going to need it one day, so it IS best to have it for that day! If it never comes, hey at least you were prepared! It was nice and all, but trust me, I paid for all those items, it might have been COMPed, but the amount of money me and boys dropped at these casinos, we PAID for all those fine dining and suites. There is a reason why these casinos are sooo rich, and the odds are always in their favor. This is why the casino wants you to stay if you are winning because they know eventually you will give it back.

10:55 So the first thing we'd need to confront is the gambling. Gambling games use what are known as a variable ratio of reinforcement in order to make you more likely to engage in the desired behavior in order to obtain said reinforcement. You can try using several forms of therapy, but you want to understand the cause of it. Once you determine the cause, we can create an intervention to subvert the behavior. This could be by using incompatible behaviors, an alternative behavior, or other behaviors entirely. The goal is to reduce the gambling first, then gradually fade in more life changes.

You should NEVER gamble hoping to gain money, its just gonna lead to disaster, if you walk into a casino with 100 then think of it as paying 100 for the casino experience, the minute you start to think "I can make some money from this" or you lose abit and think "Ok got to break even tho, so I'll remake what I lost and then dip" the seed is planted, you should walk out a casino either having gotten lucky and made a bit and made the smart decision to dip right away or decided to go all in on the experience and walk out having lost what you decided to take with you thinking "Ah that was fun" preferably with a few friends since that increases the odds of enjoying the experience for the experience and not for the money.

If you are truly smart you will know all casinos are rigged to make money, and if you make too much money, you get arrested for cheating. I have an old casino grade slot machine and i learned how it was rigged to pay out x-money after x-money was spent. Many people were murdered for casino debts in the bad days of Las Vegas. I have gambled before knowing full well gambling is rigged. I put a cash card with $200 on it. NOT!!! my bank card. If the cash card cashed out, it was over. No risk to bank balance. I stuck to just the penny slots. I got up a couple hundred each week I played, played them for a month just once a week. Won anywhere from $150 to about $220. per week just mindlessly clicking a button. Couple of old geezers taught me a strategy that would get you to win, and it worked. I made about a grand. For someone like me that works minimum wage and struggles just to see a grand that was a huge boost. I never spent the entire $200 i initially loaded on the card, and the winnings would go directly to my bank account and not the card, that way i wasnt infinitely spending my winnings. i never touched the skill based games, the roulette, none of that. people will shit down 60k in poker just to think they are a better card player than the rest of the players.
you can 100% go to a casino and win money, but its not like the movies. if you know how to beat the risk of losing money, and not spend your winnings immediately, you can make a good amount of money just by nickel and diming $50-$100 wins over several months time.

Even if he managed to get a rap career going, the second the studio realises he's a cash sink hole, they'll drop him. People don't realise when you get signed by a studio to rap/sing etc, you're in debt to them till you earn enough to pay them back and excess cash made is yours, then you start to earn money once out of debt, if your first album doesn't do well you go into debt and stay there, the debt is for advertising, studio time, audio editing, beats to use, cd production, music video production and potential merchandise to sell you. You become a product till you're out of debt, and if you're bad product you won't earn a cent.

1:38 LOL, right when you said "And this is how he did it" I got sent to a UA-cam Ad for the scam nutrition company Factor. Took me a second to realize it was an ad and not part of your video, but it lined up so good.

I’ve never understood the appeal of gambling the chance of winning is so low and it’s not even fun imo

Same. I don’t gamble. Fiance does but with the expectation that he’ll lose.

If we're counting scratch offs as gambling, I do it pretty regularly. Only difference is I regulate it. I don't play until all my bills are paid and I have over $100 to mess around with, and I only buy the amount of tickets based on what it'll round me towards. If I got $124 on me, I'm only buying 4 tickets and I'll buy more tickets based on what I win within those 4 tickets. If If I hit $10 or more, I don't continue. That's just me though.

It’s better to not understand it. It’s a really bad addiction. I don’t understand it either, so it’s best to avoid doing it.

Not just the gambling.... 10:30 Dude, a small capt crunch pouch and small milk bottle from a convenience store prolly costs more than a full box and a gallon from a grocery store. what are you doing bro

    • @MrWolfSnack
      @MrWolfSnack 16 днів тому

yes those multipack packs of mini bags cost double the normal box. and the little bottle of milk is organic so its even worse. i just got 4 boxes of cereal at kroger on clearance for $1.20. and ive found cereal at cvs on clearance for half off which puts it cheaper than full price retail at kroger for the same box. have to know how to shop

I honestly hope tiktok does go under. It keeps creating these violent view seeking hooligans that need to get out their phone. If this is what the future of the young ones are, I don't know what to think anymore

I highly doubt TikTok’s shutdown will stop any of these view seekers. They’ll all just get up and go to the next video sharing sight and just do it all again. Once TikTok’s does shut down, the TikToker will all just run over to YT shorts instead and continue doing what they were doing like nothing happened
The sight really isn’t the problem, at least to some extent, it’s the people on it.
