It's some kind of loneliness coupled with extreme narcissism/entitlement. In order to whale in a community like that, you have to have a lot of money. A lot of people that have money like that are the "evil CEO" types who have no qualms about doing literally anything to make their money. It's just a form of sociopathy, really. They have no conscience and will just do anything that they find expedient in the moment. There is no internal moral compass that they possess that will ever deter them from any action. But honestly, the loneliness is almost a red herring. It's probably more a fantasy-based power trip for them. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to learn that they guy in the video actually has a wife or something. It's probably all just an insane ego trip for the guy -- which explains why he freaked out so irrationally when he found out his online trophy has a boyfriend. It's not "jealousy" in the conventional sense of the word; he's just mad that it messes up his ego trip. It isn't all about him anymore. He never cared about the woman other than the extent to which it made things all about himself, feeding his ego.
I find it hilarious that, far from using clickbait titles, most videos about this event use titles that actually _understate_ the ridiculousness of the incident. It’s one thing to set a car on fire. It’s another to set it on fire and burn through the engine with freaking _thermite!_

It drives me crazy when they finish a video with, "He's innocent until proven guilty." when they are only PRESUMED innocent, not that they are, in fact, totally innocent. There is a very big difference. That's too much like the "customer is always right" quote when they ignore half of the original quote which goes on to say that the customer is always right in matters of personal taste and what they want.
The cop’s “It’s not you, huh?” Slayed me. Like bruh he knows it’s you. And the dog leading right there right after being asked multiple times just put a cherry on top.
Using police dogs is sketchy though. The cops can get them to react however they want and many times the dog will pick up on queues from its handler and react to that even if the handler isn’t trying to change how the dog acts. You can’t prove what a dog did or didn’t smell so at best it’s just an indicator and not actual proof.

As a European, I for some reason watch a lot of videos about the American justice system usually including the police body cam footage. Randomly finding the back story of one of them is pure gold. 😂
I also saw the cam footage first and its fun to see the back story on this. Can we also talk about the vtuber that her stalker put a gps into a gift he had given her in person. Now they have to leave the house that they just built because he could have leaked her location to his friends?
That totally changes the game on getting gifts from fans, it really only takes 1-2 bad people to ruin a good thing a wholesome thing to some fan mail is from kids, Apple really need to take those trackers away and disband it. It is being used for more crime than good and many crimes against women which is a scary thought.
He probably still would have been caught, just not as quickly, as other cameras in the neighbor hood saw his car. The license plate would probably have been recorded somewhere and it would have been traced back to him eventually. My guess is he wanted to make sure the car was destroyed and stayed around to witness it, too bad for him though it was noticed by the car's owner sooner than expected and the cops came around too quickly for him to escape. If he suddenly drove off, it would look more suspicious so he tried to make his fake story work despite the obvious evidence did not mesh with it at all.
That's the neat part: he *wouldn't* have gotten away with it. CCTV is damn near *everywhere* nowadays -- the cops would've undoubtedly ID'd his vehicle and tracked him down.
He could have just made sure he was well rested and would have gone hours away. If he dressed and planned better the cops would have had nothing to connect him, let alone enough to find him afterwards.
Nah he would have been caught eventually it just would have taken a little bit longer. Really all that would have happened was he would have thought he got away with it and felt superior a little longer
I also just love the bit after they tell him they found all his supplies. "I dunno, maybe someone put that bag there, near my random car on the side of the road, specifically while I was sleeping." Why would anyone do that? 🤣
This guy wasn't that dumb really (apart from actually doing the crime obvs). I thought he handled the traffic stop alright. 18:03 At this point though, when he said "I feel like you want it to be me" and was then read his rights, I think he should have not said another word apart from "you obviously want to think this is me, so if you are going to charge me, I'd like to not answer any more questions and speak to my lawyer now please". Just my 2 cents.
The car being warm he could have at least explained away with "I turn it on to run the Heat/AC for a little bit to keep the car a nice temperature". But yah he was Effed the second they got the footage either way lol. Edit: Jesus this is an episode of Quick Mysteries from the Rick and Morty sketch lol. They found >everything< to catch him within 2 minutes of the house and 10 feet from his car.
That wouldn't fly given what he claimed his story had been to officers before they even noticed his car was warm, so it wouldn't have mattered. He claimed he got there at midnight and had been asleep the whole time. People dont turn their cars on when they sleep, that's why it was so obvious to the cop that it was a clue

It's interesting how the cops are actually giving his story credence. How they're talking is showing they're taking him at his word and are seeing how what he said isn't adding up. I appreciate how they went about their investigation - they seem like good, honest officers.
Majority of the cops are like that, sure there are some bad apples and some that are straight a*holes just like in any other profession. They normally have to deal with confrontational people everyday so having someone that follows your orders without any form of resistance kinda makes you hope you got the wrong guy.
Just let them talk, everything they say just incriminates them more and adds more charges. You get one person's story, you get the other person's story, you get witnesses, add all that together to find out who did what and then you go arrest your suspect.
Regular Reminder: The Streamer doesn’t want to date you. The stripper doesn’t want to date you. The waitress doesn't want to date you. The bartender doesn't want to date you. The Receptionist doesn’t want to date you. These people all have a job, and they're all just doing their job. It is their job to provide customer service. If you are their customer, you are their job, not their date. Why this needs to be a regular reminder is beyond me.
The paid escort who you are taking to dinner or whatever first may appreciate the meal if you go for quality and either actually considered her taste or randomly selected her preference but she still doesn’t want to date you. Ditto good number of sugar babies…
On the one hand, I can see his nervousness as being an innocent man trying to convince the police they really are innocent. On the other hand, he's guilty as could be.
@@armorpro573 Not necessarily his whole story, but the way he's talking to police. Some people do insist on their innocence like that guy when they are actually innocent. Stress and thinking the person who can arrest you doesn't believe what you're saying can do that. It all depends on the person and how they individually respond to stress. You're a better man than this sort sir. The universe abides, you just keep smiling...
Just remember, 99% of Western Women will date a jobless, homeless, no stable family, no apartment/homeless man with a criminal record than a normal man.
what are you doing about it?
It's not hard to make if you were paying attention in science class, but you have to be a special kind of crazy to see thermite as your go-to revenge tool.
These lowest effort content creators don’t know anything. They just sit in their bedroom making reactions.
Ya using thermite is diabolical, it kinda scared me a little, and the way he was so calm and composed in the actual Midwest video, this guy might be really dangerous

Wtf is up with this week and horrendous crimes and that city?!

I bet you anything it's because he wanted to see the reaction to the crime. Arsonists love to watch the fire they created destroy everything around it and especially when it is an arsonist who is committing arson as part of stalking and harassment, like in this case, they want to see the person they've targeted be hurt in some way and know that the fire got through to them emotionally and mentally. They are trying to send a message and they're trying to make that targeted victim scared and paranoid.

Would be very embarassing if his story was real and they got aggressive.
Just let them talk, everything they say just incriminates them more and adds more charges. You get one person's story, you get the other person's story, you get witnesses, add all that together to find out who did what and then you go arrest your suspect.

The Streamer doesn’t want to date you.
The stripper doesn’t want to date you.

These people all have a job, and they're all just doing their job. It is their job to provide customer service. If you are their customer, you are their job, not their date.
Why this needs to be a regular reminder is beyond me.

So just as an update, the suspect, Farhan Jami, got 46 months in prison. He was indicted in 2023 so he likely already has most of his sentence commuted for time served. He will probably be out in 2026 or 2027. The irony is that he has a bachelor's degree in Psychology & Marketing from LIU Brooklyn.
He reclined his seat hoping cops would just drive by and think no one’s in the car, then He acted like he was sleeping lol
Dumbest criminal? Id say the guy who dressed up like a bear to get insurance and in destroying his own car was fast dumber thou albeit more entertaining.
Where do I go to see this? I need to see this.
@Gdub33 look up man in bear suit insurance fraud.

nah I think the bear guy was smarter lol

😂 sir you couldn’t have drove for another 10/15 minutes 😂 you parked & waited around the block & thought you’d be fine????!! 😂😂😂
most that burn things down stay around to see it burn this is a fact
@ and that was his downfall 🤣
This dude is cLeArLy a genius level criminal mastermind.😂
I love the "are your finger prints gonna be on the bag?" "maybe...I don't know!"
You're laughing at the guy for his "gas tank" comment, yet that's EXACTLY what YOU said when watching him start it !! 😂
8:11 his mannerisms and lies were so effortless it’s scary. 😮💨 I feel sorry for the women who dated him in the past.
'Jeepers, set a CAR on fire? WOW!' Oh boy....was not bad acting, honestly. I wonder if he practiced that.
Ya, his creepy lying reminds of the neighbor of epstein, and had he had a billion dollars, could've easily walked..
😂 practiced then fell asleep
You're kind of assuming this guy has had dates... personally, I'm not convinced he did.
What women?
As soon as i saw the magnesium strip, i knew it was thermite.
If I was a betting man, I'd guess that the box was thermite. The sparkler is used to start the reaction and it drips molten iron
Yea you need something that burns hot like magnesium to ignite thermite. Sparklers are easier to get than magnesium strips
this poor girl this is utterly terrifying... you can hear the shakiness in her voice
… “utterly terrifying”??
Its pure comedy
"I promise you the dog wont come back here"
"I promise i didnt do it"
😂😂😂😂
It was thermite, basically like dumping lava on the hood of a car, probably burned straight through the engine block.
He was planning on either driving by to see his "work" as arsonists tend to do.
Or worse plans in regards to the streamer.
It's thermite, makes molten metal, will melt the engine. It's used to weld railway lines together..
The nano version of it was used on “certain” buildings in NYC way back in Sep ‘Ol, during a very big “event.”
The lesson here is that if you are tired while driving, don't just pull into a neighborhood and go to sleep. There might be an arsonist nearby who could pop your door, turn your car on, put his hat on your head to get your DNA on it, put your hand on his bag of supplies to plant your fingerprints, turn off your car, and ditch the bag 10 feet away, all while you are asleep.
Good thing they found him. I'm worried that the reason he didn't take off was because he wasn't done with her yet.
Adrenaline wore off and he got a little tired... 😂😂😂😂
My last job was a forty mile drive. It took me forty minutes. Every day. Both ways. Never needed a nap for it. Liars always give themselves away under pressure. Because they're stupid. Stupid people think everyone is stupid. Liars think everyone lies. Cheaters think everyone cheats. Thieves think everyone steals. It's how they justify their selfish disgusting lives.
Insane that this guy had an entire life to learn and he does this like some kind of npc who just spawned in
I wish we had actual laws against stalkers. All these cases just make you not want to risk interacting with men ever.
There already is a law, look up 18 U.S. Code § 2261A - Stalking.
Should there be laws against scammers? Just asking because that's the other side of the coin. Many people both males and females are scammers these days because the internet has made it so easy.
15:04
You can see it in his face, he's like, Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit!!
😂😂😂
“Why did you pull over to sleep?” “Cause I drove 40 miles here”
Man can’t drive 40 miles without a nap? 😂😂
'I promise you, I'm not crazy.' - Crazy guy.
I ended up moving about 4 hours away from an older brother that was robbing me for years, was a violent intimidation theme, and after not only he was robbing me, but his girlfriend who he and her created a scam involving them claiming she was only a roommate on paper in order to get thousands of dollars per year they didn't qualify for.
I could turn him in, but if his girlfriend's clepto firebug toned smiley tall kid that says fires make em go to a better place..turning those type of people in could result in my ending up in a unmarked grave or a unmarked urn.
"I promise you I didn't set any car on fire" - Guy who set a car on fire
That dude made thermite in the flower pot.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. As soon as he mentioned he put a brick and flower pot on there, itade perfect sense. Damn, the entire engine is gonna be straight melted
@ yup, I have a shop next to a train yard and I’ve seen them use thermite to join two rails together. Super crazy stuff. Melts through 1in steel plate in seconds.
@@rolycruz3941 Yeah, I've played around with it a bit too. It's so much fun but you can tell it's crazy powerful and kinda scary. Kinda like poking a sleeping bear, you know it's one small mistake and you're gonezo
It’s Thermite that will burn a hole through a tank…!!!
It is also frighteningly easy to make.
@@Blasted2Oblivion explosives, poison and weapons in general are pretty easy to make. I mean, ffs if you used a certain cleaning chemicals in your toilet and took a number one afterwards, you have literally created a war crime...
Wait, isn't that the stuff used in Breaking Bad?
@@patman_for_sure Yep. Mythbusters also used it quite a lot.
@@patman_for_sure Probably?
It's just rust (iron oxide) and aluminum powder.
"a car on fire? How? I mean, what's even a fire?" Also had he just gone home, he could have gotten away with it. At least initially.
Dude hasn’t even gotten to the jail. “When is the hearing?” 😂
Someone on the original dash cam video made a good point. He could have been the only person driving out of this neighborhood at 3am when the cops were coming in and gotten pulled over immediately or he could lay down and hope they passed him by, he tried but it didn't work.
But I think he had enough time to simply drive away. It took a few minutes for the call to go out and the fire fighters and officers to get there.
I forgot to add, driving at 3am isn’t enough to stop you. Police need probable cause to stop you and unless he matched a description they couldn’t stop him. Now randomly sitting on the street in an area that normally doesn’t have cars parked there is suspicious.
"Is everything okay?"
Why do they ALWAYS try to act like they have no idea what's going on? 😅
When you do something you shouldn't have and you knew it was wrong. How do you respond. Don't lie now. Be real
It’s pretty irritating. I’ve been caught with weed and arrested before and I didn’t tell them I had weed until they searched me but I wasn’t acting all clueless when they found it and I didn’t try to pull the “it’s not mine! I’m holding it for someone!” and just accepted that I was in trouble.
To give a false sense of security so they stay calm and assess if the person is dangerous or not by their response/body language
@KingDJ524 i mean i got pulled over once for going 80 on the freeway at a 65 area while jamming to my tunes. When he asked "do you know why I pulled you over tonight ma'am?"
I immediately went "...speeding?"
The straight honesty got him to laugh and me a warning.
Yep. I'm sure this made her want to date him now. 🙄

Image getting 4 years in a federal prison, when other inmates ask, "What are you in here for?" And the answer is "I burned down a streamer car that I was a simp for."
He might get encouraged from that... People there may have done worse to women.
@@chibinya I'm a subscriber to Larry Lawton who is ex-convict in the federal prison system. Yes, some prisoners probably have done worse to others, but he won't be getting any encouragement.
