Great professional body restoration. Probably the best restoration of one of these in the world.
Fantastic to see more detail of what was involved on this one. That is the only car in Harry's garage that I envy😊
Amazing workmanship from start to finish. Thank you.
Beautiful workmanship, colour and car!
It’s like California Sage over black stunning.
Stunning workmanship didn’t think it was possible to rebuild the metal.
Now I know where I have seen you guys before! I remember Harry's series of video on that car very well. Cannot forget the horrors you kept finding, and to see you guys slowly work through it was a joy to watch. Can also so remember you having to make some changes to the colour mix for Harry. But the end result was stunning, lovely colour for that car. A top notch restoration indeed. It had been nagging me where i had seen you before, now i know. Harry seems to have a habit of encouraging people to start their own UA-cam channels - Iain Tyrrell being another of course.
What a great followup video to the Harry's Garage coverage of the renovation.👍 This has to be one of the best "buyer beware" videos for anyone thinking of buying a 70's XJ. I bought a '73 S1 XJ12 in 1980 and even at 7 years old there was corrosion appearing on the sills, rear wheel arches and the rear valance which was so bad I replaced it. Many cars from this era were just real rot boxes. Some of the mods Harry did may not please the purists but, for my money, this has to be one of the best XJC's in the country.👍
Excellent video thank you.
Amazing work guys I remember watching this car on Harry’s channel a while back 👍🏼
Stupenda auto , così belle non le fanno più . Saluti
Hells bells …. What a project ,
great work and great that Harrry dug deep to bring her back to this condition
Wow! Amazing work.
An awful lot of work there but what a great end result. Absolutely lovely! Great colour too.
Utterly stunning work. So impressive. How many hours did it burn through in the end ?
Super work and a good video. I've hit subscribe. Love the color but would marginally favour the original.
I truly wish that there was a repairer like you that actually cared about the customer and their car in Scotland. I am a Scot and lived here almost 70 years but the garages I know dont give a s..t about you and only concern how much money they can extract from your bank balance. Sorry for the rant but I wish someone would make the exception that proves the rule.
Love it... with hindsight (always 20/20 ) - what do you wish looking back you could do again/ spend more time to get better than you could on this project? (there's always compromise and constraint..it's a reality...and it was only in for a repaint! )
Excellent work and video, just goes to show a classic car can look stunning but can be hiding real horrors, it's as if they designed them to rust from the factory, i've just bought an unfinished Mini project, it's had all new panels and all welding done but the guy had to bail out as cost was spiraling and he couldn't do it himself, cut his losses and i bought it off him, shame really as he'd always wanted a Mini.
Great content and video. Invest in a proper mic!
Always thought Jaguar's own sage green isn't a million miles away from the Aston colour and I'm guessing one hell of Allot cheaper 🤑
I see the before and after your would say that is not the same car with a quality work and paint
when are you doing a jaguar 420g?
@@HermanCkeuring well….we have a MK10 booked in for February…..👍
@@paintingclassiccars wow thats a lot of paint,i hope they go up in prices.
I can't deny your work is absolutely stunning, and the level of inspection and perfection of results is world class.
I also think Harry's Jag is a bit like Trigger's Broom as well. Like lost Jags that survive from the 90s going backwards ... 😄
love this car, just wish he had kept the original color..
Martinez Robert Williams Paul Williams William
spend £50/£60k on a car worth £35/£45k 🤑😵💫 at the end of the day it's a XJ jag 🥱
Tick Tock video 😂
???
You can't hear a loud clock?@@ogribiker8535
Great video but the sound quality is absolutely terrible. If you want to grow your channel you will have invest in proper sound equipment.
That colour is too subtle and modernist for this kind of car, it would have been better with one of the Marquee classic's colours.
Totally disagree.
My god not impressed with those welded repairs ! they are as rough as hell. Shame as the finished painted car looks nice but those rough body structure and welding repairs will be rotting out again in less than 3 years...........
Towards the end of the video , when the camera moves over the bonnet, i clearly see streaks in the paint, not subtle ones. Hope I saw this wrong, perhaps the lighting?
I’m not seeing what you are. There are no stripes at all in this. You may be seeing the lights and beams of the buildings roof reflecting - but there are no stripes in the paint.
Nah, the finish is so good and the shine so deep there are reflections everywhere.
