    01 Nostalgia
Moving through time and space, fate has a mysterious way of working. Penetration went their way in 1979 at the end of the punk era. Their contribution was underrated at the time, but badly missed once they'd gone. 23 years is a lifetime away and the fact that they a back together is as much of a surprise to the band as it is to their fans.
Have fun while you can! In the words of the late Ian Dury: Penetration Rule OK!

Absolutely brilliant. The soundtrack of my days of rebellion. I even had the Invisible Girls album - loved that too.

Penetrations version sounds heavier than Buzzcocks original -- I love this version!! Something about Pauline's voice and the delivery of the song from the rest of the band.

YESTERDAY WE HEARD THREE OF THE EARLIEST SONGS BY THE EXCELLENT BRITISH BAND PENETRATION. THOSE WERE DEMOS FROM 1977 AND WERE MORE PUNKY THAN ANYTHING THEY LATER RECORDED. THEN I PROMISED YOU SOME LIVE PENETRATION 25 YEARS LATER. HERE IT IS.
In 2002 Penetration played a show at Northumbria University in Newcastle Upon Tyne and proved beyond a doubt they still had the chops. Singer Pauline Murray, still looking fit, is in fine form and the band is in storming mode. .
Let's hear three songs from this gig, First up is a thunderous version of the famous Buzzcocks' song Nostalgia. The sound is excellent on these Cherry Red Records videos. You're gonna like these.

Last two live performances from Penetration. Just discovered them an hour ago while doing some research for my little appreciation of this wonderful band. Man, did these two songs make me feel good. Pauline and the band are tremendous here in 2002 at Northumbria University in Newcastle Upon Tyne. First up is a THUNDEROUS version of a famous Buzzcock's song.
