It’s even more funny when you’ve read the novels. A lot of these scenarios are common 😂

Even the better writers use that kind of scenarios even if to just make fun of them
The hidden powerhouse cliche too, in one story I read, as usual, the backwater sect the protagonist starts his journey in has a hidden powerhouse that appears a bit later to save him just in time, but, as it turns out, he wasn't some benevolent founder, he was literally forced into the job by a stronger dude who put a seal on him and was like "So, I divined my successor is gonna appear in this sect, so you be a good bitch and protect him, else the seal is going to kill you, bye!" and then fucked right off the universe

"Why does he look so sad?"
Because of how his eyes seems to always be closed?
I attribute it mostly to how he rise to position of power, though. China's current structure is... well, it's not exactly what you'd call a well balance thing. Lot's of backroom dealing, and you can't really tell who to trust.
Can't say that I like Mr Poo here, but I do admit, his ability to endure hardship is quite admirable.

That thing about the swastika is that it is an actual buddhist simbol way before the 20th century. Here is what chatGPT told me about it:
Yes, there is a lot of confusion between the Buddhist symbol and the swastika. The Buddhist symbol is called the "dharmachakra," which means "wheel of dharma," and the swastika is a symbol that has been used in various cultures and religions, including Hinduism and Jainism, long before its association with Nazi Germany.
The dharmachakra symbol is a circular wheel with eight spokes, which represent the Eightfold Path of Buddhism, a set of guidelines for achieving enlightenment. The wheel itself represents the constant flow of existence, and the spokes represent the steps that must be taken to reach enlightenment.
On the other hand, the swastika is a symbol with a cross-like shape and bent arms, which can be either clockwise or counterclockwise. In Hinduism and Jainism, it is known as a symbol of good luck and prosperity. In fact, the word "swastika" comes from the Sanskrit word "svastika," which means "well-being." However, due to its association with Nazi Germany and their atrocities, the swastika is now widely regarded as a symbol of hate and racism.
The confusion between the two symbols often arises because the swastika and the dharmachakra share a similar appearance, with four arms extending out from a central point. However, there are some key differences between the two symbols. The dharmachakra always has eight spokes, while the swastika can have different numbers of arms and can be clockwise or counterclockwise.
It is important to note that the use of the swastika in Buddhist art is still common in Asia, especially in countries like China, Japan, and Korea. In these contexts, the symbol is not associated with Nazism and is still used as a symbol of good luck and prosperity. However, it is always important to be aware of the context in which the symbol is being used and to understand the cultural significance behind it.

13:50 there’s a Chinese movie based on this situation called “Swordsman 2” 1992. The main villain turned female because he learned a weird martial art.

Investing my time and health into a job that doesn't pay me is better than not working and being homeless on the street. I get to die faster at my internship before they dump my body on the corner for not having enough wealth to support it before taking said "job".
