    Those Chryssalids just scare me to pieces the way they swarm across almost the entire map. Glad Augie could use his sword to take out the last one. =) Nice job on this mission

      To be fair, the Chryssalids in Xcom2 are a mere annoyance. The ones in Xcom are a bit worse than that, but neither of them can hold a candle to the ones from the original UFO-Enemy Unknown.
      Let's just say there is a reason that you could deploy up to 14 soldiers right from the get-go in the original game and well into the 20s toward the endgame of it... ...and if you got even just slightly unlucky you ran into Chryssalids before your troops were in position, which then tended to the situation rapidly spiralling out of control. Terror-missions against snakemen and chryssalids during nighttime are just about the worst that game could throw at you.

      I still remember that mod for them I ran where some of them would dash across the map in one action. Horrible. Augie brought the goods this time!

      @@Chimpy13 that's because they WERE!
      if one of them got in melee range to any one of your soldies, that's it. One more zombie. And if you shoot it, a new Chryssalid popped out and proceeded to find more people to poke... etc... etc...
      Exponentially increasing numbers of Chryssalids are so much fun. ...not.

    I do like it when the Chryssalids come out to play.
    I thought it was a bit risky keeping Dominick near that burning car. Would have got a Flawless otherwise.

      Well I'm glad you like it 😂 I still have nightmares from when they would sprint across the map!
      Yeah I really wanted that flank shot. I probably could have let it live for one more turn.
      Goose has found a good role this run.

      Crysolids were my terror enemy when I played Enemy Within on the console. Lost more soldiers to them than any other type no matter what I did!
      When that game said "Terror Mission" it wasn't kidding!

    I dread having Gatekeepers on these sort of missions. Because one thing a Gatekeeper will likely do is use that AOE attack on a pack of Lost... and catch the VIP and at least one of the soldiers in the blast, killing them and turning them into zombies.

      Yes that would be awful! Gatekeepers can end your mission before you have a chance to give it a go. I had one classic mission where the lost were about and there was (I think) a Sectoid Commander and a gatekeeper. Hordes and hordes of confused lost....

    Sorry, I can't encyclopedia for you on this one, I don't know much about Psionics Overhaul --- especially the old one that was replaced in 2020... :)

      Ranek spotted a tab on the soldier for Psionics. That might be a clue. I don't ever remember seeing it there before. But yeah I seldom use Psi at this point.

    People were on an Mission and got Soldiers who are freaking Kernel's,Mein Gott they had Ballistic Weapons but Finnaly we have an Wraith Suit i worked a little bit on it and i would say Running trough a Wall to Jackskull some Hybrid Aliens niceeeee but bigger Question would be if my Custom Gremlin goes also Trough the wall i mean Weapon do...
    Later... In the Bar Flyer talks to Dominick and says you would make an Good Field Officer i mean your good in kicking A**es.

      Hmmm I reckon we can reinforce that gremlin to join you through the wall. I mean, it currently set's things on fire and explodes enemies. A bit of added armour might do the trick.
      Yeah Dominick has been strong! He really goes all in, I guess that's why he gets fairly fatigued after each mission.

    31:25 once again you are looking in the wrong spot. Those psionic abilities are not listed under skills, but... you know... maybe, just maybe they are listed under the PSIONICS category you completely ignored right there...

      I swear that's new! I don't ever remember seeing that. In pure vanilla it's it's own class right? I think not using it at all last year really threw me off.
