Nikki La Rose just did a video where she bought every drugstore foundation and tried them all out. It was 45 different foundations. This was one of her faves!
Hi Lisa, I am 77yrs old and I actually have really mature dry skin. This foundation is my go to when I want to have make up last throughout the day. It can be layered a little bit to enhance the coverage. It doesn't settle in my wrinkles and tends to smooth out the depth of the wrinkles, always a bonus. I don't need to powder it as the finish makes my skin look fresh and brighter but not shiny. I have tried many other brands including Charlotte Tillberry, Estee lauder, Lancome and Age perfect is my favorite.
Yes I have used True Match and don't find it as hydrating on the skin. I use Rose Ivory in Age Perfect and W2 or N2 in True Match. I don't like how the true match wears throughout the day, and it is not as forgiving with the wrinkles. @@jncoltin
Lisa, I am so glad that you, an expert make-up artist, makes mistakes in choosing drugstore foundation shades! I find it so difficult and have always attributed it to being an amateur! You made me feel better! 😂. P.S. So nice that you drop discount codes for your brushes! They are the best!
I’m 62 , dry skin I actually love this foundation. You have to prep skin. Hydrate. And it’s really nice. I do love this one for sure. It holds well even in the az sun
@@Beez27I’m 78 , pushing 79 and it is a lovely foundation. I have some wrinkles, dark spots and it covers well. Doesn’t look heavy. I do use a small amount of powder and finish it with a setting spray. Mac fix+stay over is really good!❤
As a 75 yo who struggles to find natural looking foundations I have to say this is a “find” esp when I use the L’Oréal blurring primer. The shade for my fair cool skin tone is Rose Ivory 15. Almost as good as GA Luminous Silk and Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. The primer definitely takes down the shine and blurs texture. Try it again with the right shade and the primer.
I have used many high end foundations through the years and seemed to have settled on L’Oreal True Match Nude (with 1% pure hyaluronic acid) for my 67 year old normal skin. It really is wonderful!!! I always have 3 shades on hand which I frequently mix depending on the season. It never settles in my fine lines and offers phenomenal medium coverage!!
Yes exactly Lisa, this is my absolute favorite. The shade ranges are tricky in my opinion but looks so beautiful on dry older skin. I’m 58 very dry & live in a very dry climate. I stipple on with fingers and a brush, I usually wear a primer over my nose underneath. I wear the shade 25 in winter which is probably the most neutral undertone for light skin. In the summer I mix the shades 60 & 70. Setting spray also works very well on top.
This has been my favorite for about year now. I turned 50 this year and this sits very well on my skin. I wear Nude beige 35. You usually wear one shade darker than me. I really like using this with the Age Perfect Blurring Face Primer. Just for reference I am oily combo skin type.
I will definitely want to try this foundation in winter. My skin changes a lot with the cold and loss of humidity. Sounds like it will be perfect on my dry, mature skin. Great video, as usual ❤️
I never purchase any drugstore makeup and one day saw this one and decided to try it. To my surprise, I love it! I’m 52, normal to oily skin and it is really good on my skin. Will definitely repurchase
I was on vacation and totally missed this video. Love this! I love the end of day check in. I think this is what takes a good foundation to an excellent one. One that lasts all and day and doesn't budge is worth the money. My vote (if you are taking votes ;) is for more foundation videos with an end of day check in. Thanks again!
This is the drugstore foundation NikkiLaRose also said was the best for mature skin. It’s a great video. I highly recommend watching it. She’s awesome, as are you!
Thanks for the discount code, I love your brushes! I have tried this foundation on my 58 year old skin - it looked gorgeous on initial application, then turned oily and melted off. I also don't like the added fragrance in L'oreal products. But clearly I am missing something, because lots of women love this foundation! Everyone has individual preferences, and that's ok! Karen
I tried it a couple years ago and tried to like it but….. Shade match was tough and I felt it was too heavy and shiny. Now 65, my skin is “normal”. I prefer the reformulated L’Oréal True Match Super Blendable foundation. Much broader shade range and undertones. Super lightweight, looks like skin and even outs complexion perfectly. I don’t have large pores so can’t speak to blurring, but it looks fresh and natural and doesn’t emphasize any other texture. Doesn’t get too glowy and lasts through the day quite well. Has replaced my higher end brands (Dior, NARS, ABH).
Good video, Lisa! How great to discover a new foundation for you. I am 72 with dry skin. I live in a dry climate in New Mexico. I use the Age Perfect in #35 Nude Beige. It does great on my skin. As you said, it feels like moisturizer which I like and it is light weight. I do hope you will try another color because I think it can become a favorite of yours.
I purchased this product in a shade that was too dark for me but have been adding a few drops to my Australian Gold Mineral Sunscreen on no make up days, and it is wonderful. It makes my sunscreen more hydrating and gives a light satin finish to my skin. I feel like my sunscreen performs the same with or without the added Loreal product. As for being like IT CC Cream, I disagree as this is a serum and IT is definitely thicker.
I have been a long time fanatic of the L’Oréal Age Perfect Foundation. The coordinating primer and concealer are good too. The foundation is a real stand out. If it were to discontinue I would start a revolt! I am 45 and have dry skin. With this foundation you would never know it. It is hands down the best foundation at the drug store!
I have a feeling it might be discontinued soon. Unless c v s is just not going to carry it because they have it marked forty percent off like a clearance
I think it is worth a try, you can wear a tinted SPF first to give. little extra coverage. If you add concealer for more coverage just be careful because it can alter the look and finish of this
I enjoyed this foundation in terms of look and feel but couldn’t get past the strong SPF smell which I found lingered on my skin through the day. Eventually decluttered. Wish they released this with no SPF so customers could choose to layer their own SPF underneath. Thanks for the review!!!
So glad you made this video. This product was on my list to purchase, but with several negative comments about the smell, I’ll pass. Would you suggest another foundation for mature skin with light to medium coverage with a similar finish? Your videos are always enjoyable to watch and very informative. Thank you for making them.
I wanted to like this so much but with denatured alcohol in it, even as the 5th ingredient after glycerin and dimethicone, it dried my skin out. My skin is not a fan. Glad it works for some.
Thank you! It reminds me of K Beauty foundation! I suggest you look at a very inexpensive foundation/BB Cream that is my new ‘holy grail’ foundation called MISSHA Perfect Cover BB Cream. Once applied it sinks into the skin and dries down so that you can’t see it whatsoever. It looks better than high end like Cle de Peau and others. I have mature skin, 50+, and it has never settled into any lines whatsoever. It blows me away, and I reach for it at least half the time. of course, the drawback with K beauty is it’s extremely limited shade range. But it’s really beautiful and undetectable on the skin. I would love to see it if you tried it.
Perfect timing. I just purchased Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue at $51; I'm not sure if I can continue with it. I think I will give this a try! Thank you!
This is my absolute favorite everyday foundation! I am 70 with good skin and this just gives it a youthful radiance that wears really well throughout the day. My full face makeup elegant foundation is Cle de Peau, both the Dewy Cushion and the Radiant Fluid. Huge difference in pricing between the two, but it just goes to show that a drugstore can still offer a very beautiful foundation at a very affordable price point. I am not even sure if I am going to repurchase the Cle de Peau - I think I just got used to it being my "elegant" foundation.
Lisa, thank you so much for the discount code, I think I’m going to be able to get the brushes I’ve been wanting!!! And this foundation looked great, other than the color, on your skin. I will be picking this up today!!!!
Thank you for this review! My skin is exactly the type that this foundation could work well with. It’s also the coverage I prefer. Now to figure out what shade to purchase…😂
At 72 wasn’t crazy about this one. Didn’t like the smell and could feel it sitting on the skin. I get a better results from Loreal serum foundation. Thanks for the review. You were looking very pale for awhile. Amazing what you did with a little bronzer.
Hi Lisa, Would you kindly do a video on what work you have had done. I mean this in the most respectful way, you look natural and beautiful and it would just be helpful for us other women in your community to know and learn from you. ❤
Let me say this. I’m 62 and really have mature skin. I actually like this foundation. I do have dry skin. My shade is off. But it’s a really nice foundation. Less is more. And you need to not use a ton. It wears really nice. I actually am wearing it today and it’s 106. I also have to wrong shade Ha ha
What a lovely foundation for a beautiful lady. I don't think that there is anything you could apply that would look bad. Everything you apply from eyeshadow to lip liner is simply gorgeous. You have a gift, Lisa, and to be quite honest, you make me want to be a better person. God bless you, always ❤️
I'll be 60 in October 😬 so I'm here for this! That's the perfect shade for my Fair-Light skin. I have to powder after foundation, but then I lose the radiance. But I can't NOT do it. I actually purchased this foundation a few years back, but barely used it. ❣Thanks for a great review!
Try this one: Revlon PhotoReady Candid Natural Finish. Lisa featured it some time ago and it's become my go to! No need to use powder it seems to dry to am almost matte already powdered look without being too matte that looks natural.
Lisa thanks for the discount code. Your brushes are the best and I have doubles of the 106 and concealer brush. I tried this foundation and was not impressed. It was not long lasting and settled into every crease. Thanks for sharing! ❤
Based on Ulta’s color match with all of the other colors of foundation in different brands that I know work for me, they said I needed ivory. It was way too light. I’m usually on the fair to light end of the range, but it washed me out. L’Oréal offers it in 30 shades. Ulta didn’t have a color I thought I needed. Found it something on Amazon. Mixing the 2 is a perfect match for me in winter, and I suspect the darker shade will work well when I have a tan. My biggest issue with the line is the color range. I am a true fair-light neutral, which they don’t appear to offer. I love it when companies label cool, warm, neutral because it just makes it easier.
Thanks for the discount code. Just placed my second order. Loving the brushes from my first order. Also I have this Loreal foundation. A bit too moisturizing in the hotter months for my 47 year old skin. I do think it will be perfect for winter when my skin is more dry. Waiting to try it again then. And of course with my fabulous 106 foundation brush.
This foundation is beautiful….smoothing…and lasts all day…I have so so many extremely high end foundations….this is by far better….plus the spf…and the concealer is beautiful to
Hi Lisa! You are too cute! Lol…even you can pick up the wrong shade of foundation. I haven’t tried it yet but I think it will be better for me in the winter when my skin gets drier. Thank you for your honest reviews. Wishing you continued success! Love watching your content! ❤
I love it….I’m super dry, so this really works. In winter here in BC Canada 🇨🇦 it will be great…..I mix it with my sunscreen. I looked at the ingredients and it has an organic sunscreen part in there. It’s not marketed here in Canada with any SPF, so I’m curious about the US version. Ours may have it, they just can’t put it on the label. The Jason Wu tinted moisturizer/CC cream is another favourite. It’s lovely!
Lisa, I’ll be 60 in a couple of weeks and I agree with your assessment 💯! For my normal skin it’s too oily in a short amount of time and I, too, could “feel” it on my skin. Once again, you are on it, girlfriend!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Lisa - I do think older skin is drier so maybe it is perfect for mature skin. I'm at work but will check my BK Beauty inventory when.i get home and hopefully use your code! Thank you so much!
To get the full SPF we need to use a quarter of a teaspoon of product. That’s a lot of foundation! Always use a sunscreen before applying any foundation.
Thank you so much!!! Added to my collection. I have doubles of all the brushes I use on a daily basis so I can wait while the others dry!!! Love your brushes. Will never use anything else. 🩷🩷🩷
Lisa, I would love to buy your brushes now; however, I am a mature woman who is a disabled due to complications from a brain aneurysm surgery that I had and I live on a disability income and therefore , I live with a strict budget but, I have been saving for months to purchase your 9 piece brush set but, it seems every time I try to purchase it, they are sold out so, I rather wait for your next sale if you would give me a text reminder instead of email. I am not very good with emails. I am not that generation. Thank you for your generous offer 😊. Even though I am disabled and old. I like to look half way decent when I go out to see my doctors which quite often. Thank you again and keep up the good work.
I need something for ancient skin. The product looks so nice, but how I wish it was cruelty free. Hopefully one day soon. Great discount on your products. How nice of you. Have a fabulous Labor Day weekend. ❤❤😘
Hi, Lisa, I am at almost 61 your big fan. Picked up a lot of info on make up for my skin. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and wisdom! Wanted to ask you to film a video about skincare for mature skin. I noticed that with age my previous skincare routine is not working for me as the same products for some reason have become allergic.. Thank you again. Have a wonderful weekend. Viktoria
I always enjoy your videos. I must add though, that skin on ageing women changes dramatically even in your 50s. Someone who is under 50 talking about reactions on Mature Skin, does not have the same skin texture as a 60+ year old, so foundations react very differently on older skin. Ive tried this foundation on my 66 yr old skin and it doesnt work well.
You make a beautiful ghost! Seriously know matter what you put on you always look great. Thanks for the review, I have the It cc so won't be running out to purchase the Lioresal. And a big thank you for the code today I've been waiting to get the 207
LisaJ-------Hi! I tried this foundation after Nikki's Drug Store make up (45 foundations). The first time I wore it was a slippery mess, I think I used too much product. The 2nd time I wore the Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm Powder in Translucent as a primer, HUGE DIFFERENCE, so much better (hid all the pores). I still feel like it is going to behave better for me during the cooler months (Hot and Humid Houston, Texas). It feels good and isn't drying at all. BTW, I think your shade match is possibly Neutral Buff (we are usually shade twins). I did find that less is certainly more!!!!!! See ya soon!!!! BTW, I didn't powder either day (I only barely powder my under eye). I'm 59, balanced sometimes leaning dry skin.
I don't usually go for glowy foundations, the natural, skin like options are my choice. However, this looked so pretty on you (and it's drugstore priced) that I'm going to give it try. I've read the comments regarding this having a sunscreen fragrance but that doesn't bother my "boot leather" skin. Had it had added perfume/fragrance then it would automatically be a "no no". Fingers crossed it's available in the UK 🤞🤞 Love and light to you and your family 💗✨️💗✨️💗✨️💗✨️💗✨️💗✨️💗✨️💗
I try a lot too. And my best is bb fresh of maybelline, but iprefer cream makeup for mature skin.. cream compact like seint ( have not ingrédients absorbent/mattifier) or mac like Cream Colour Base / Pro Palette..!!!!
I wwatched all of niikkis video and i have all luxury & high end foundations & dont need anymore, but Nikki talked me into it!! I got it & loved it!! Every time I see or hear mature skin, I'm here for it. Im addicted to your brushes, i got the bag & immediately took it on vacation! It was so perfect! I took a pic and reviewed it on your website! Thanks for sharing and im bummed i missed the code!! I have my eyes on the 108.------ Amy O.
I tried this after the Nikki La Rose video a week or so ago. I like the texture of this formula a lot and it works well for me at 50 with pretty great skin, but my 76 year old mother is another story…the shades are a struggle especially as they all seem to oxidize a bit. Also, Walmart has the best price on this by far at just over $12.
Hello Lisa! Thank you so much .... I really needed to know a realistic and honest opinion ... from someone who I really trust ... about this foundation!!! Thank you so much! 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
I love this foundation, for the first few hours I have it on, but it doesn’t wear well 😟. I’ve moved on to the loreal true match and the true match nude, both of which have more staying power, but I like the finish and color of this one the best. Maybe I’ll try to mix them.
Hi Lisa thank you for the special code!!! Thank you also for your honest feedback on products & oh my gosh you gave a shout out to Caden at Bluemercury…when we were in town for a wedding in May he did my makeup before the rehearsal dinner 🙌 loooved the look he did for me. He was so fun😊 walked out of Bluemercury breaking the bank 😂😂 oh well 🤷♀️
I tried years ago couldn’t find a shade match and just didn’t like the way it looked . Just sat on my skin .I dunno smell was kinda yucky but I could get over it if it looked better
Hi Lisa, which brush did you use for concealer? I probably have it, as I have all the BK brushes (except for the Angie ones, which I would ❤ to have). Thanks! Kit
I’d love this foundation! I have tried many drugstore and high end, and this is My go to. It’s definitely lightweight. Perfect for mature skin, especially dry skin.
Thanks for the code Lisa! Picked up a couple brushes I’ve been eyeing. I wonder if you could help with picking a color of this foundation. The descriptions are terrible.

Question, have you ever used True Match foundation. I would not know how to translate the shades. So, have you used both types?
Yes I have used True Match and don't find it as hydrating on the skin. I use Rose Ivory in Age Perfect and W2 or N2 in True Match. I don't like how the true match wears throughout the day, and it is not as forgiving with the wrinkles. @@jncoltin

Whenever you demo makeup made for mature skin I would love to see this applied to one of your friends who actually have MATURE SKIN WITH WRINKLES.

I’m 55 with dry skin and I do like that foundation a lot.
This looks really pretty on your skin, Lisa. I'm looking forward to the next drugstore foundation video.

Your skin is beautiful! You do not look like a mess!
This foundation is beautiful….smoothing…and lasts all day…I have so so many extremely high end foundations….this is by far better….plus the spf…and the concealer is beautiful to
I have combination skin & this foundation wears well on my skin. I love it (I’m mid 50’s).
Hi Lisa! You are too cute! Lol…even you can pick up the wrong shade of foundation. I haven’t tried it yet but I think it will be better for me in the winter when my skin gets drier. Thank you for your honest reviews. Wishing you continued success! Love watching your content! ❤
Is this like the it cc nude glow? Your description makes it seem like it! I had to giggle with the shade match! You made it work in the end!!! 🙌
I love this foundation. Add the matching concealer and Uoma Trippin powder in translucent and it's perfection.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for this. 50 plus with dry skin. I wish you had a shade match because you are usually spot on to me...but oh well.
I have always used a high end foundation. I tried this and its lovely! The only downfall is that it will rub off on your husbands shirts
I've been using this for a while and I really like. If they could just do something about the horrible smell.
I would love to find a drugstore foundation for mature, oily skin. L'Oreal Infallible liquid matte emphasizes every pore and line I have.
Very helpful review. I’m 60 with very dry skin. I’m going to try it. 👍
Lisa, thank you for your review on this foundation and the coupon code at BK Beauty! Hope your weekend is wonderful!
Fingers crossed it's available in the UK 🤞🤞
Love and light to you and your family 💗✨️💗✨️💗✨️💗✨️💗✨️💗✨️💗✨️💗
I have my eyes on the 108.------ Amy O.
would like to try it , thought it looked nice on you and not tooo light
Well heck, I thought you already had the foundation on before you said that you only had bare skin…. Beautiful skin.
I’m 62 and in need of a tinted moisturizer for mature skin and my skin is combo dry and oily. I’m stumped…..
Good to see ya today, Lisa! Love your content. Thanks also for the BK Beauty brush code-your brushes are the BEST❣️❣️
He was so fun😊 walked out of Bluemercury breaking the bank 😂😂 oh well 🤷♀️
Even with the primer that goes with this, the foundation separated on my face. I wonder if I have a bum tube😢
I tried years ago couldn’t find a shade match and just didn’t like the way it looked . Just sat on my skin .I dunno smell was kinda yucky but I could get over it if it looked better
I liked it on my mature skin BUT it broke me out so bad and I don’t have sensitive skin. It was odd.
Look beautiful it would be nice for this time of the year when the weather is warm xx
Hi Lisa, which brush did you use for concealer? I probably have it, as I have all the BK brushes (except for the Angie ones, which I would ❤ to have). Thanks! Kit
Would love to see if your Mom likes this. Great video Lisa 🥰👏🏻
I’d love this foundation! I have tried many drugstore and high end, and this is My go to. It’s definitely lightweight. Perfect for mature skin, especially dry skin.
Can you do a skincare routine? Current products your loving ❤
Thanks for the code Lisa! Picked up a couple brushes I’ve been eyeing. I wonder if you could help with picking a color of this foundation. The descriptions are terrible.
Thank you for this review, Lisa.😊
Unfortunately, from what I have been reading Loreal is discontinuing this line.
Oh no!! Really?! Thanks for sharing
Ah man I just bought another brush wish I had known about the code lol 😊 I love your lip color
