Gabi, thank you for putting up all the content for mature women. It is a HUGE help! I like to be smart about how I spend my money, and am fine with a good drugstore dupe. This video was awesome and you are so beautiful and have such amazing energy!! Love your channel!!
I wore ELDW for decades but can't justify the price anymore. I started using this Loreal foundation about six months ago I was hooked. Nearly identical performance. I'm 56 and work two jobs, sometimes 15 hour days, and this works like a champ. I've also used the Luminous Silk, loved it, but can't afford $70. Thanks for the dupe.
EXCELLENT! I am 77 and a half😀 and I have been using Doublewear for decades (I think when I began using it, it was $25). I think I’ll try your mixing suggestion. I stopped wearing eye makeup since the pandemic and have just begun using it again, but, alas, my eyes have changed! I’ve been wasting money on high end and drugstore products, trying to find new products and techniques. I have discovered the Elf products that I’m toying with now. You are helping me ferret through the numerous choices. Thank you!
I’ve been trying the Cover Girl Essence that is a dupe for the Chanel and Rose Inc versions. It’s amazing! I’m 50 and it doesn’t settle into fine lines. For being over 70% water, it has enough pigment to cover my melasma, redness, and adult acne. It dries down too. It wears well, not getting too shiny as the day goes on. My chin has lots of dryness, texture, and redness. It’s always a test for me to see how foundation lays down, covers, and wears over time on my chin. This foundation did very well in all areas.
Hmmm…I gave up on foundation in my 40s, I’m 53 now, and I love tinted moisturizer but I’ve been thinking I’d like to try a bit more coverage for special events, esp at work (I’m in fundraising & marketing). I’m nervous to try anything because I’ve never ever liked a foundation but formulas have improved a lot! It looks pretty pricey but I get $3-4 CG coupons in CVS & I’m sure I could get it when you earn cash back for spending over $15… it sounds more promising than most other drugstore options. I buy one high end complexion product already, and that’s my limit. But I get too cheap with drugstore base lol…$6 is usually a bad sign 😂
I’m in my 60s and have used Double Wear for many years. Since I’ve gotten older I make sure to use plenty of hydrating products first and I also use a smaller amount than in the past. My favorite drugstore alternative is Revlon Colorstay foundation in the normal/dry formula. It has the same type of coverage and longevity without drying out my skin.
You re my FAVORITE beauty influencer. I am 64 but strive to be super healthy and youthful looking for my age. You are so good at advising me what to do with my thinning, fine hair. Ordered the Keraton that you advised. I LOVE Korean products. I spent a summer in S. Korea and the women have dewy, perfect skin. They walk outside in the sun with parasols to avoid sun damage. They have "goods" on good skin care. Thanks for your invormative, life changing videos beautiful lady! :)
Honestly having good skin from avoiding the sun is a byproduct of a sad racist notion that people with darker complexions are lower class and inferior. People that worked in the fields would tan.
L’Oréal also makes a True Match Hyaluronic Tinted Serum Foundation that would be fantastic to mix with products that are too drying. Between it and the Elf one , the L’Oréal one is much more moisturizing. I have tried both and love the elf one for highlighting but with really dry skin I would recommend that L’Oréal one for mixing or as a first layer under a more drying one.
This is a great suggestion! I have not tried that foundation before but I need to give it a try! The original true match has always been a staple in my makeup kit. They make such great products for a really good price.
I was just scrolling through and came across your video. I’m 62 so I really appreciate a channel that pays attention to us older women. Looking forward to seeing more of your content. Tamy from Tn 😊💜

It's funny, I wore Double Wear (Estee Lauder) through my 20s and 30s. I was oily, and I'm still oily, but probably less. Now, I'm 63, and it hasn't worked for me since about 40. I love light foundations now. I recently tried Covergirl's Simply Ageless Essence foundation. It's supposed to be a dupe for Chanel's Les Beiges. It's the best thing I've tried in years! I'm obsessed!
I'm 41 and the L'oreal powder foundation I used for the past 20 years recently discontinued 😢 I took my booty to Ulta last week (twice!) and ended putting myself in the manager's hands because I was a fish out of water 😂 I love what I ended up with though so it was a good call (Clinique pressed mineral powder foundation - she even helped shade me ❤)
Absolutely! Infallible is SUCH a nice foundation. It is more breathable too which can be so fantastic. You really don't need to spend a fortune anymore to create a gorgeous makeup look.
Another great video, Gabi. You hit it outta the park. I'm in my 60s, with dry skin, and I love the infallible foundation, but I always listen to your expert advise. I'll be ordering the Ladore products. My thin hair needs all the help it can get. Thanks Gabi..❤❤ By the way, I always appreciate you taking the time to link the products. It makes it so much easier for us.
I started using the L'oreal for oily skin and I love it. It works with my oily face but it really looks nice with my mature skin. It was hard trying to find a foundation that does both. Thank you.😊
Love the chanel powder and bronzer, I will say they did not have people of color in mind and have had ample time to include deeper shades. Will definitely try the hair products.❤
Great video, as always. Very helpful. (Almost 60 and never really feared looking older. I think what matters most is to enjoy each day -- learn new things, do good deeds, be a kind friend, help animals, enjoy nature, be reliable. It may sound obvious, but those things really do matter. Sunscreen helps too.😂)
I have found that cream eyeshadows make my eyelids crepey. I will try that Revlon one in the hope that it works for me! I LOVED this video and how it has all of your best recommendations for everything. Thank you ❤
I actually don't always love a cream shadow either. The one by Laura Gellar is nice but it creases on my eyelids after a long day of wear. This one by Revlon has been great for me. I have to try it on more people and in different colors. The caramel was 10/10.
The Revlon is so raves about by people I watch over 40 that I picked it up last week even though cream aren’t always great, this one definitely stays put. I went out and bought a second color today.
Hi - I thought the same thing about cream eyeshadow until I tried using a brush to apply. It doesn’t seems to drag the skin as much. Concealer type brushes like the Rose Inc one are fab. Good luck and don’t give up 😊
Gabi could you do a video on reasonably priced brushes, u use so many different ones and what each one is used for and a little demo of each, that would be so helpful, thanks love all your content
Thanks for the suggestion about affordable brush suggestions. I did create a video about which brush to use when which you can see here: ua-cam.com/video/DwM8M1spYPg/v-deo.html
I love your channel! So happy I came across it. Im 45 and looking for good makeup and tips. You are the best. I’m going to purchase the Estée Lauder foundation. Can’t wait. I am also going to try the elf cream bronzer. First time I use a cream bronzer, which brush do you recommend I use for that? Also, is the Ester Lauder foundation very matte? If it is what do you recommend I use as a dewy setting spray?
I’ve been using the L’Oréal Infallible 24hour foundation for a few years and love it. I’m going to try the lighter formula you suggested too. This was a great video with great recommendations! Thx you 🥰👏👍
❤❤❤the revlon color stay shadows!!! I’ve got 4 and am eyeing the caramel shade! I buy them at CVS when they have $3 revlon coupons. The shade black cassis will blow your mind! It’s this sheer purpley silver that just takes cool tone looks to the next level. And it looks amazing with the black violet eyeliner from that line. I’ve been using CVS a lot for things we actually need, so I usually pick up one or two monos or liners with the coupons & rewards bucks. The L’Oréal monos in shimmers are also fantastic but i am on the fence about the mattes.
I love your channel. I just turned 63 and my face and hair are changing. I may have to go grey because the hair color is causing a reaction and I have tried so many salons and colors. I will try the hair care suggestions you gave. Thank you!
Gabi! I love love love your channel! Always come away with new tips and great products to try. As a 70 year old with pale skin and happy lines everywhere, I’m just looking for something easy to give myself a natural no make-up look. Thank you for thinking about those of us who have mature skin. I appreciate all your hard work! Have a happy day! xoxo
Gabi, I would love to see you do a makeover, on an olive skin, brown eyed, brown hair, Latina.I have learned so much from watching the makeovers that you have done. I’ve been using the La’dora hair products because of your recommendation.
I have the Revlon cream eyeshadow....Actually I have 2 colors! They are awesome. I have the caramel and another darker bronzi-brown. Great product review Gabi. Happy Sunday to you. 😊
I love K Beauty!! ❤ Just amazing products!! I'm also an e.l.f. junkie... I also love dupes since I spend almost all my money on my dog 😂 I've had good luck mixing a few drops of facial oil (either e.l.f. or Good Molecules Rosehip & Bakuchiol which I love since there's a formula for both dry skin and oily skin) I am surprised this is the first time UA-cam has added your content to my feed! I'm a late subscriber. 😊
You look so pretty! I like the shorter hair, as well. I love your knowledge and that you offer dupes when you find them, that is greatly appreciated! Thanks for another great video!!
I just discovered your page as this video popped up in my 'recommended' feed. I found your video so helpful and really appreciated the drugstore dupes you gave for higher end products! I have been looking for a drugstore brow gel for a while so I will definitely need to check out the Elf one. Looking forward to watching more of your videos!
Chanel is super expensive but the makeup is so good. There pigment load is heavy and the consistency of everything is so nice. I worked for Chanel many years ago and I still have some products from then that I love and use. that being said I would never pay those prices LOL I love that elf has good dupes. It's so true you do not have to pay so much money for make-up. Drug store brands have come along way 🙂
Yes Dante! I agree. They have come such a long way and the drugstore products are incredible now. The packaging of prestige brands feel great but the product itself is often so similar.
I love your channel! I’m 59 and am in the process of changing my makeup to work with my older skin and really appreciate all the time you put into giving us such great information! I have always used a loose powder after my foundation, and then powder blush. Should I still use loose powder?
I'm so glad that lador sponsors you! I've discovered their hair filler from your channel and it's really a game changer for me. I've ordered shampoo to try, i certainly will re-order soon a hair filler again and i'll try one of their oils.
Infallible Pro Glow has been my favorite foundation for years now! So good! And the shade 202 is a perfect match for me! So sad when the Pro Glow condealer was discontinued!!
Gabby, another great blush you should try is the cream blush by LYS (Love Your Self) also sold at Sephora many colors also. Loved this video. Thanksyou so much for helping us more mature women.
I purchased the Revlon Cream Eye shadow a year ago and just tried them a week ago. What a missed opportunity!! Don’t think I will ever go back to powder. I’ve been wearing bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer but I need a little more coverage and have a couple of back-up tubes. I had never considered mixing with another foundation before I saw this video. I am 58 years old with dry to normal skin with some dark spots from sun damage. Do you think it would mix well with the Estée Lauder or the Elf flawless finish you mentioned in another video? I love the luminosity the bareMinerals gives me. Your videos are so incredibly helpful ~ especially the tutorials on the women my age.
Hi! Great video. I think the drugstore has great options, the best dupe for the Lauder foundation is Maybelline 30H foundation. Truly lasts !! I have both of the L’Oréal they are ok but not nearly as full coverage.
I can't thank you enough Gabi,,,, for all the great advice.... Im 66 ugh just saying the number lolol. You have helped me with the right makeup for my dry face, now when i apply the correct type for me, oh gosh its such a big difference. Oh and i just Love the Bubble products my face has not looked this great since I was in my 20-30s softer an not dry!!!! I watch every video you have, still working on my hair, lol but again thank you for giving us older ladies confidence to try new products to make us feel beautiful,,, at least for me. You are a awesome.... 💗💗
You made my day! Thank you for such a sweet message. I challenge you to say "I am 66!" with pride instead of with an "ugh" at the end. The alternative to getting older is dying so getting older, changing and growing is the best thing EVER. No one says "Ugh this wine is too old..." "ugh..this whisky is too old". You're just getting better girlfriend. Each and every year you are getting better! Decorate and enjoy that :) I am so happy that I can make content that inspires you to feel as great on the outside as you are on the inside.
Hi! I'm new to your channel and i really enjoyed this video! Very helpful! 😊❤ I'm in my mid 40's and have started realizing i need to change a few of my products to my new needs. Thank you!
Awesome! You introduced me in a past video on Nyx wonder stick (duo- contour/highlighter) and it’s been a game changer in my makeup routine! It’s so gorgeous and I find I don’t need foundation for a simple everyday look. I need a good concealer so I’m going to try ELF camouflage concealer because I can’t find good coverage (the peach may be the trick to hide the dark circles) and Revlon crème shadow. Thanks!!
My first time seeing you!! I’m 40 and just accepting my own beauty… but I LOVED YOUR VIDEO!! I loved your look, your delivery, and I’m subscribed!! 👌🏽 I can trait to deep dive into more of your videos ❤❤❤
Do you apply cream bronzer and blush over finishing powder, or before and put a light layer of finishing powder over it? Can you do a video on how to apply all of the cream products?
I talk a lot about ELF products for this specific reason. If you go look on the L’Oréal website though, there’s a whole section about their policies towards being cruelty free. I’m not sure if maybe it’s outdated information that they’re not but I really looked into it and didn’t find anything to prove otherwise.
I love all your videos! They are very informative and interesting. I love that you always have a budget friendly option. One question about the Lador products - can they be used for all hair types?
Another awesome video Gabi! Can't wait to try some of your recommendations. I actually have the Este Lauder Double Wear and the Armani Foundation but do need to add something to make them less drying. I'm also considering purchasing the Nikki LaRose Pro Face brush you are using in this video. I have been using a Beauty Blender but want to try applying with a brush instead. My under eye area is very dry and I've struggled finding a concealer that won't crease or look cakey. I seem to be having better luck with the Tarte Ulta Creamy Concealer if I use a VERY small amount. May have to try the Elf Camo Concealer next. I would like to try the Revlon Cream Eyeshadows but I'm wondering how well do they wear during the hot, humid summertime? I just had to share that after watching your makeup takeover with Linda I incorporated some of your techniques and OH MY GOSH! I was amazed at the results! Keep up the great videos -- it's SOOOO appreciated!
I discovered your channel just about an hour ago watching the live with Nikkie La Rose, subscribed right away after finishing the video, half-way through another video and already obsessed 🥰❤️
I loved this video bc I am always looking for ways to apply makeup as I age. These recommendations are amazing. Could you give advise on grey hair growing out? I have darker hair and it’s like in 2 weeks or so I can start to see grow out🤦🏻♀️. Love your videos ❤
Elf has been on their A-game these days :) ! It's exciting that they've been able to deliver such amazing quality products to us consumers at literally a fraction of the price compared to the high-end brands! They are literally changing the beauty world (:
💖 I’m new to your channel through your Livestream with Chris, and so happy to learn from you. I started wetting my makeup sponge per you tip, and it made a fantastic difference. You were right! Thank you! 🙏🏻 I’m looking forward to trying out the products you mentioned today. The foundations look promising. I have a question though. I fell in love with Catrice foundations when I was in Europe several years ago, however it can crease with certain pore filling primers. Have you worked with it? Any suggestions? Would your suggested foundations behave better or differently with different primers? Big hugs 🤗, and you’re the bomb! ❤️
I ordered the L'oreal Infallible Fresh Wear because I want to find a good drug store product for every day wear. I have Dior Glow foundation for when I am going out.

Good luck and don’t give up 😊
Great suggestions! Thank you, Gabi!
Bonjour Gabi, c'est trop génial de pouvoir vous écouter en français avec une voix qui traduit automatiquemet. Quel gain de temps. ❤❤❤
I’ve used Estée Lauder but I have dry skin so I may try the halo glow. Love these dupes. I have the L’Oréal pro glow and I love it. Thank you Gabi💕💕💕
It's so good! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for watching! ❤️
❤ thanks for another fun, informative and funny video. I’ll be trying a few products.
Thank you, Gabi! Great video and one I was needing!
You can thin it out with advanced night repair or just use lancome renergie because it has a serum in it.
So much fun! I love that you did the split face, and no you can’t tell 😊
Have a happy day! xoxo
You are so sweet! Thank you for taking the time to comment and for supporting the channel. It means so much to me!
Gabi, I would love to see you do a makeover, on an olive skin, brown eyed, brown hair, Latina.I have learned so much from watching the makeovers that you have done. I’ve been using the La’dora hair products because of your recommendation.
Great idea!! I'm always searching for local women to feature on the channel so hopefully I can find someone who falls into this category.
I have the Revlon cream eyeshadow....Actually I have 2 colors! They are awesome. I have the caramel and another darker bronzi-brown. Great product review Gabi. Happy Sunday to you. 😊
I love K Beauty!! ❤ Just amazing products!! I'm also an e.l.f. junkie...
I also love dupes since I spend almost all my money on my dog 😂
I've had good luck mixing a few drops of facial oil (either e.l.f. or Good Molecules Rosehip & Bakuchiol which I love since there's a formula for both dry skin and oily skin)
I am surprised this is the first time UA-cam has added your content to my feed! I'm a late subscriber. 😊
You look so pretty! I like the shorter hair, as well. I love your knowledge and that you offer dupes when you find them, that is greatly appreciated! Thanks for another great video!!
You're so welcome! Thank you for taking the time to leave such positive feedback. It means so much to me!
I ordered the Lador products and used it 2 days ago. I am in love! I never thought my hair could look this good! Thanks for the recommendation!
You are so welcome! I am so happy that you like it too. It’s such a gorgeous product line that so many people don’t know about.
I can’t believe you find a dupe for the Chanel Les Beiges 😍 Could you please share what shade you used in the Elf? Thank you!
The brow fiber gel by Elf is AMAZING! I learned about it from Nikki LaRose too ❤ love her
Chanel is super expensive but the makeup is so good.
Hi, could I ask what colour you had in the elf brow tint and bronzer please? Xx
Gabs!! We need your recommendations for a more affordable option to the Sarah Creal concealer!!! $58 is steep but I hear it's so great!!!!
Infallible Pro Glow has been my favorite foundation for years now! So good! And the shade 202 is a perfect match for me! So sad when the Pro Glow condealer was discontinued!!
I hate when you find an amazing product that works for you and they discontinue it! Glad you like the foundation though!
We love our Canadian Glam Girl 🇨🇦Thank you for the affordable options and for including the prices in CAD. Time to go to Shoppers 🛍️
It's only young people who talk about how wonderful ageing is 😂
Gabby, another great blush you should try is the cream blush by LYS (Love Your Self) also sold at Sephora many colors also. Loved this video. Thanksyou so much for helping us more mature women.
The Chanel bronzer will last me for the rest of my life it’s massive. It never goes down. Personally I realise I prefer smaller tubs.
Toutes tes vidéos sont un véritable régal à regarder, merci infiniment.
Great recommendations! I’m a drug store girl all the way. I really appreciate your taking time to test the dupes. Love you ❤
Thanks for watching!
Love the caramel cream shadow, Tower 28 cream blush❤ too along w/ the Elf brow gel pretty much use them everyday!😊❤
Hi! Great video. I think the drugstore has great options, the best dupe for the Lauder foundation is Maybelline 30H foundation. Truly lasts !! I have both of the L’Oréal they are ok but not nearly as full coverage.
Thanks for sharing!!
So glad I watched this, Gabi! You are such a great teacher! I am going to do your eye look bc I just bought the Revlon cream eyeshadow in caramel too!
Hope you like it!
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! I'd love to know what color you're wearing in all the foundations you mentioned! Please and thank you!
Excellent info and product descriptions! Thank you for all of your content, tips, and instruction. 😊
You are so welcome!
I can’t live without my elf Camo concealer…the best!
I can trait to deep dive into more of your videos ❤❤❤
Aww welcome to the channel! Thank you so much for subscribing!
Love your necklace! Where did you get it? Thanks for this very informative video! Interesting Lador products. Will give a try!
Do you apply cream bronzer and blush over finishing powder, or before and put a light layer of finishing powder over it? Can you do a video on how to apply all of the cream products?
Another great video and all the products mentioned are amazing ❤❤❤!!!
Love your content so much, but really really wish you’d consider doing an episode with products that do not use animal testing.
Thanks for subbing! I really appreciate having you here!
Buenas noches!!! Ya la sigo.
Después del corrector, ¿Se pone polvos para fijar?
Muchas gracias y un saludo.
One I found for my mature skin is Kosas it’s great following your layer process
I loved this video bc I am always looking for ways to apply makeup as I age. These recommendations are amazing. Could you give advise on grey hair growing out? I have darker hair and it’s like in 2 weeks or so I can start to see grow out🤦🏻♀️. Love your videos ❤
Elf has been on their A-game these days :) ! It's exciting that they've been able to deliver such amazing quality products to us consumers at literally a fraction of the price compared to the high-end brands! They are literally changing the beauty world (:
Agree! It’s amazing!
💖 I’m new to your channel through your Livestream with Chris, and so happy to learn from you. I started wetting my makeup sponge per you tip, and it made a fantastic difference. You were right! Thank you! 🙏🏻
I’m looking forward to trying out the products you mentioned today. ❤️
I love your energy ❤. Many thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge with us
You are so welcome
I ordered the L'oreal Infallible Fresh Wear because I want to find a good drug store product for every day wear. I have Dior Glow foundation for when I am going out.
Super vidéo Gabi, j'ai adoré. Bon dimanche🧡🧡🧡
Thank God for E.L.F ❤ They do have a lot of great products!
I totally agree!
Wonderful advice.
