I've paid the price for the high-end foundations in the past but just stopped because I really can't see the difference. Currently using Neutrogena healthy skin liquid makeup (which also has 20 SPF) & I like it.
Totally agree , have to spend $ on budget alternatives. I retired , so I want to look pulled together- don’t need to be glam. Natural enhancement for this “ older “ gal.
Angie, I have to say out of all the you tubers out there you really are the best when it comes being so thorough in your reviews of makeup. You really know your stuff which makes it so helpful as a consumer. I can tell you put a lot of effort into your content and I thank you.
Oh boy, I realized as I watched this that I've purchased ALL FIVE of these foundations based on your recommendation! I like most of them but the L'Oreal True Match Nude is my favorite to dab on sparingly around my nose and chin (not really a full foundation wearer, contrary to how many I own haha). I'm always taken aback by how good my skin looks even late in the day when I use this. Thanks for keeping smaller budgets in view and helping people understand they can look great without spending a fortune.
Love this! I’m a drugstore foundation girl. I’ve never bought a high end one that was so much better the price was justified. And I agree with L’Oréal as a big hit! Thank you Angie. I’m forever grateful for you ♥️
As I wear True Match, I noticed in different light that my skin looks dry . . I've been adding some dewey WetnWild foundation to it and it evens it right out.
Hey Angie! Thanks for the drugstore price bracket recommendations! Unfortunately, I just paid over $100.00 for a tank of gas, so new purchases are out of the question for awhile. But I use a tinted mineral-only sunBLOCK as a single layer, moisturizer - primer - foundation, either Bliss Block Star SPF 30 or Australian Gold SPF 50 in Fair-to-light. If it's the Block Star, I use just a little Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream in spots as a tone corrector. I've loved this product for years now; I think it's worth a mention for when you don't need or want full coverage. I just hope they don't discontinue it, it has been around for quite awhile. Anyway, love your careful evaluations - no one compares foundations like you! Thanks for all your energy!
I want to thank you so much ! I bought the Loreal True Match serum and powder !! WOW. I never have bought Loreal before. I'm 63 had not too many wrinkles, large pores and snagging until I had health problems at 57. My skin looks beautiful ! Thank you !
Definitely love the True Match. If I know I need to look great, this is what I grab for. (I also love the Maybelline Fit me Matte + Poreless). I just turned 60 (but still kicking ass). Love your videos.
I'm a 37yo with an oily t-zone and normal everywhere else on my face, and #1 and #2 foundations are my favorite foundations, too. I use it over my Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen, and it layers beautifully for me, too. Just wanted to mention for others out there. Love your vids!

My fave is definitely the elf cc camo cream. I agree with you that it's even better than It Cosmetics version. The It Cosmetics cream just looked so dry and cakey after an hour while elf stayed flawless the entire day. Not to mention, elf mixes very well with my moisturizer and layers beautifully over my sunscreen. The pump packaging prevents it from getting messy. Their shade range is amazing. CC Camo completely neutralizes my redness without irritation. Best of all, it's one of the few foundations that does NOT oxidize on me!
The True Match with the dropper is my absolute fav foundation. I'm 59. I had sworn off it however because of the messy dropper. Then I bought a pump on Amazon and it is perfect! no mess, dispenses a smaller amount it's made a huge difference.
For anyone else with sensitive skin: I looked at the ingredients, and all of these except the L'Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear Powder Foundation are fragrance free. As Angie pointed out, the L’Oreal True Match Nude serum foundation does have alcohol in it, which is a dealbreaker for me. And Angie is right about using makeup for sunscreen. Most people aren't going to apply enough makeup to really supply sun protection. I always wear sunscreen under my makeup, but I like to have an SPF 30 sunscreen in my makeup for a little added protection. And I agree with Angie re L'Oreal products. They make good mascaras and have some good foundations although lately they've come out with several foundations with alcohol in them. The Colour Riche lipsticks are also good; unfortunately they have fragrance, and I have a strong preference for lipsticks without flavor or fragrance. Also, the True Match powder and powder blush are good. I have very dry skin, so YMMV on those products.
I totally agree that Loreal has the best foundations. I never buy any other brand but have tried their different foundations and I love all of them. 💕💕💕
One of the hardest things about being a woman is finding the right foundation. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You are appreciated! I didn't need foundation until I got old and blotchy. Now I really need it! I will explore your suggestions.
Good morning Angie! I had to pause the video and come to comment on how beautiful your skin is. You look so fresh and bright with every video. You are my skin goals. Thank you for everything you do for us! Have a wonderful weekend! 😊 🌷
Thank you for putting the product name with the time stamp! So thoughtful and helpful. I only wear cruelty free products so I wanted to watch the Elf portion and this made it so easy find.
I’m going to Doha and India tomorrow so I definitely need to take my infallible fresh wear. Here in California I don’t use it much but for the heat and humidity I will get there it’s a must. Thank you 🙏
I ,too, have combo skin . Large pores, get oily in the t zone. I have eyeing buying the Jones Road WTF, and this video changed my mind. I know the WTF is going to be to greasy, tacky...I'm going to buy the Loreal Age perfect balm based on your recommendation. And much less expensive! Love your videos, Angie. Thank You!
Could you do a video on how to select drugstore make up because it’s so difficult with the product being in the packaging and relying on the color swatches provided at the drugstore. Thanks for your awesome videos I’m always educated and inspired by you, Angie!!!
My favourite foundation hands down is and will always be the loreal infallible 24hr freshwear. It wears all day and has a satin finish with great coverage!
Loreal Infallible is my go to. I have other brands I like but the Loreal is what I end up reaching for. Why I bother with anything else is beyond me lol !
I've never been a powder foundation girl. As I've aged (almost mid 40s now) I use less and lighter coverage liquids, usually tinted moisturizer, Bb creams... I was curious, yet skeptical, about the Loreal powder foundation for a quick bit of coverage and smoothing during summer (I'm also in FL!). I'm really surprised and impressed with it so far! I just went out and walk the dogs, it's 86 degrees and humid, and my face was barely dewy when I got back!
With this economy, I needed to find an every day more affordable foundation, but one that looked nice and played well with my sunscreen. Thank you, Angie. Have a great weekend. 💐
A terrific review Angie. Thank you. I have very dry, hyper sensitive skin. I use the L’Oreal 4in1 balm and have had no problems with it. It looks lovely for me too. Sensitive skin folks should give this a try.
I agree! Love this foundation. I have super sensitive, rosacea prone skin. I have always hated the way makeup feels. This is wonderful and light on the skin.
I can add my endorsement of the L'Oreal True Match, True Match Nude, and Age Perfect Balm foundations. The original True Match was my main foundation throughout my 40s. I love it, and I think I did get more than 6-7 hours of wear, personally. I have tried a lot of new foundations over the past few years, some very expensive, but I don't think I've found a much better one. I may go back to it! I have the True Match Nude and like it, but I have to mix two shades to get the right color. It is nice, though. The balm is new for me, and I've only worn it once. Seems very nice so far. Feels COOLING on the skin when applied, which is interesting. Beautiful finish. I also LOVE the Infallible 24-hour Freshwear LIQUID Foundation (glass bottle, red cap). It works very well on my soon-to-be 53-year-old complexion! You really can't go wrong with L'Oreal. I've paid 5 times as much for foundations that aren't half as good!!!
Angie, I agree that L’Oreal makes great foundations for mature skin. I also really like the cover girl simply ageless which comes in a compact balm form.
Thanks to you I’ve turned into a sunscreen crazy lady lol 😂 I walk every morning and spend a lot of time outside in heat and humidity. My go to these days is using 2 layers of mineral sunscreen. After it sets I press in my covergirl simply ageless powder in translucent under my eyes & medium everywhere else. I use my elf camo concealer sponge to apply. This combo is gorgeous and lasts all day along with anything including cream blush/bronzer. No setting spray or primer needed.
@@avarysse5782 For my face I’m currently using coppertone sport mineral spf 50 face & Australian gold tinted spf 50. I apply the coppertone then to take down the white cast and tackiness the Australian gold. For my body I use coppertone sport mineral spf 50 for body. I randomly found it at Walmart the face spf was only $3 and I believe the body spf was less than $7. It doesn’t leave too much of a white cast as long as you really rub it in. It’s less than other mineral sunscreens I’ve used on my body. I can’t wear chemical for the most part. It breaks me out in hives.

@@avarysse5782 lol, Totally understand on complaints of thick mineral sunscreen. My husband approves the Coppertone sport. I finally have him wearing it daily on his face. On him there isn’t a cast. I think my skincare makes it worse on me. It’s very thin and quite runner, even the one for body.
My #1 favorite foundation that I use and get asked every time I wear it is No 7 Restore &Renew in cool beige and I use the No7 lift &laminate triple action serum concealer in light/medium. I will be 66 next month .
My drugstore, holy grail foundation (JOAH) was discontinued. I was able to find some on eBay but will need a replacement. Thanks for all your research which save us time & money.
I ordered a pump on Amazon to use in my L’Oréal Serum Foundation, which I love! It works great and is not messy! It came in a pack of two and has made using this foundation so much better!
The problem with L’Oreal is that it isn’t cruelty-free. Veterinarian here, just can’t support a company that harms animals. Glad you have ELF on the list!
The company sells in China. For products sold there it has no recourse other than giving up its Chinese sales since China requires testing. American companies should be working in China to convince the Chinese to dispense with animal testing for products coming in there from countries with highly effective testing that does not require animal testing. It's a matter of convincing the Chinese to alter their regulations.
@@user-zk8ed4kd2b Yes, I know about Chinese regulations (I believe it's different in the region of Hong Kong) but they shouldn't sell in China, simple. And, if only all the big companies had refused to comply, China would have had no choice but to give up these redundant and cruel tests. In the meantime, I buy elsewhere!
Hello! I hope you had a joyful day. I just got to sit down with my hand quilting and watch your video. I always learn something new from you so thank you very much for that. I hope you have a lovely week ahead. Thank you for posting this video and sharing your time and talent.
Thanks for doing this video, Angie. I'm one of those mature ladies who like a powder foundation over my sunscreen because I feel that accentuates my texture the least. My sunscreen is pretty shiny so I appreciate a powder foundation that goes on matte and will tone down the shine a bit. Sounds like I'll have to try that L'Oreal one! ❤
I love No7 from the drugstore. Lift and Luminate. I haven't found any others. Maybe I should try the L'Oreal! Thank you Angie and I would love to see drug store concealers and setting sprays!
Thank you for including a powder foundation. I am a busy mum and powder foundation is my go to. Quick, easy and very natural in the day light. I just colour correct my beautiful dark circles and eye bags before I apply the powder. A quick spritz of Mac finishing spray and it looks like second skin.
Hi Angie. Love the way the balm looks on your skin. Your skin looks flawless. I found the Elf camo cream felt too heavy on my face. Have you ever tried the NYX Born to Glow Foundation? It's one of my favorite drugstore foundation. Have an amazing weekend. Thanks for doing a drugstore foundation video. ❤❤
I love L’Oréal foundation but also love the Maybelline Fit Me foundation.. it is gorgeous when used with the CT Wonderglow Primer. The Freshwear Foundation by L’Oréal stays on Forever and is also beautiful. The Maybelline Urban Cover Makeup is also beautiful on the skin.
I've been using L'Oreal foundations for over 40 yrs now. Welp. Great foundations for an excellent price. The one I keep going back to that just keeps performing is L'Oreal's infallible Pro-glow. Natural looking long wear, which is a tall order for any foundation. My go to for long workdays requiring mask wearing.
I love your reviews and videos! Unfortunately, the Elf camo cc and the L’Oréal Infallible powder foundation did not work for me. I love the L’Oréal Infallible Freshwear, which is long wearing and stands up to heat/humidity. I can’t wait to try the others mentioned here that I haven’t tried. 😀
Angie, could you mention the scent or lack of in some of these foundations? I don't mind a scent if it dissipates quickly , but I tend to prefer non -fragranced cosmetics best! In other words, scent can be a real dealbreaker for me! I love Loreal mascara but some of the Loreal lipsticks are extremely fragranced.
I bought this foundation and in the shade Angie used, since we have similar skin tone. It was a perfect match (which has never happened) I was surprised with the coverage considering its not a thick foundation. Pretty impressed! Thank you :)
Love your products you choose...great video....the L'Oreal Nude match....Amazon has a group of four pumps that fits the bottle perfectly...Hate the dropper.... Love L'Oreal........
I have normal/combo skin, which was oily until recently, and the one drugstore foundation which works amazingly on me is Revlon Photoready Candid. I've also found if I try a new foundation which doesn't work and looks horrible, if I add a bit of Cover Girl Smoothers, an oldie, it makes it look better and fixes it.
I love that loreal powder for summer. Its so HOT here, and its been very dependable. I just spot conceal underneath with the Lancome Teint Idole Concealer. Loreal has great lip products too, their glossy lip stain is gorgeous and very longwearing for example.
Thank you so much Angie for such a solid review as I appreciate a drug store review as they are affordable. I just picked up the L'Oreal tint based on your review and look forward to testing it on my 60 year old mature skin. Thanx for always keeping the reviews so real and true.
New to your channel and I'm hooked. Love the way you test products and allow us to see the settling stages like your foundation showing 10 hours into wearing the products. Great honest time/money saving reviews which over 50's appreciate!
I'm 59 and the L'Oreal Infallible Powder (110) is my go to foundation. I pounce it on after my skin care and sunscreen, I don't bother with a primer, and it looks very natural, lasts for hours, and wears off very naturally. It also wears well under a mask - although it does eventually come off somewhat on the mask. I wear cloth masks and it washes out easily. Thanks for another great video review.
You can skip the regular True Match for me. It lasted about 2 hours on my oily skin, pilled on my primer, and didn't cover much. The Infallible is better! Also a great love is the Cover Girl Extreme Outlast with the pink/orange cap! 💗🧡 I got 14 - 16 hour wear, plays well with others, AND it comes in a light enough shade for my milk pale skin...which the L'Oreal does not.
Hi Angie and thanks for the great drug store favorite foundations breakdown. Another hidden gem for mature skin that doesn’t accentuate fine lines and wrinkles is Cover Girl Outlast cream foundation. It comes with a sponge (or you can use your own) for a beautiful light weight foundation that’s sheer but covers my discoloration and redness. I have a request for a future foundation Friday review Angie and that’s Shiseido’s newest foundation which is self refreshing. It comes in a good amount of shades and is around $45 so not inexpensive but everyone raved over their first or original formula. Have a wonderful weekend now that the weather’s finally nice in the Northeast. 💖✨
Well, the L'Oreal True Match Nude really works for me. I'm 69 (and my skin seems to be improving a bit with sunscreen and foundation use) in a hot, humid climate. Thanks for posting.
Hi Angie! Thank you for being one of the few content creators that addresses the issues we all face as our skin ages and all the effort and time you put into to make such thurough and detailed reviews. Do you have any other recommendations for skin that gets oily in more places than just the T-zone?

@@avarysse5782 lol, Totally understand on complaints of thick mineral sunscreen. My husband approves the Coppertone sport. I finally have him wearing it daily on his face. On him there isn’t a cast. I think my skincare makes it worse on me. It’s very thin and quite runner, even the one for body.
Too much sunscreen can block absorbing vit D
My #1 favorite foundation that I use and get asked every time I wear it is No 7 Restore &Renew in cool beige and I use the No7 lift &laminate triple action serum concealer in light/medium. I will be 66 next month .
I love Loreal foundation I always get compliments on my skin !
My drugstore, holy grail foundation (JOAH) was discontinued. I was able to find some on eBay but will need a replacement. Thanks for all your research which save us time & money.
Love the way you have your values and standards in place! I really appreciate your content and value it a lot. True inspiration!!!
I ordered a pump on Amazon to use in my L’Oréal Serum Foundation, which I love! It works great and is not messy! It came in a pack of two and has made using this foundation so much better!
I choose to invest in higher end skin care and more affordable make up. I have found L’Oréal to be best for my dry, mature skin as well.😊
The problem with L’Oreal is that it isn’t cruelty-free. Veterinarian here, just can’t support a company that harms animals. Glad you have ELF on the list!
I agree, and there are plenty of cruelty-free products available now.
@@user-zk8ed4kd2b That's interesting.. and depressing; b/c it appears we are so controlled by China...
Hello! I hope you had a joyful day. I just got to sit down with my hand quilting and watch your video. I always learn something new from you so thank you very much for that. I hope you have a lovely week ahead. Thank you for posting this video and sharing your time and talent.
Great choices and recommendations. L’Oréal really does an excellent job with their foundations.
I’m 58 and the Infallible powder foundation is the GOAT. Just beautiful!
I'm the same!
Although it's not drug store...I tried Whander beauty powder foundation and I e used it every since. But it lasts forever!
Thanks for featuring drugstore picks. It’s all I use and tend to skip right over high end reviews. 💛
I love the infallible pro glo glow foundation.
My fave too. Been using for years. Nothing else I try replaces it as my fave.
I love No7 from the drugstore. Lift and Luminate. I haven't found any others. Maybe I should try the L'Oreal! Thank you Angie and I would love to see drug store concealers and setting sprays!
I love no 7 too my fave go to for make up products😊 but I love lo'real too so will be giving the powder fresh one a go I'm always hot lol 😊
Thanks for all the hard work love your videos!!
L’oreal has great products and they are so affordable. It’s my favorite drugstore brand!
I LOVE Burt's Bees foundation in pump bottle. looks great like high end and drugstore Target Walmart sell it.
Always great content thank you so much. ❤️
At 63 I have tired alot- currently using studio fix by MAC over my daily skin oil. its really lovely.
I got the L’Oréal True Match based on your recommendation and I LOVE IT! Thank you!
i have all of those foundations except the first one, i am 57 and totally agree with you! I love them all!
I’m in love with the balm! It outshines my more expensive foundations! Thanks for all your reviews!
Love your products you choose...great video....the L'Oreal Nude match....Amazon has a group of four pumps that fits the bottle perfectly...Hate the dropper.... Love L'Oreal........
Thanks so much for trying all of those; so helpful to those of us not familiar with wearing foundations; great video!
Great video! Tip - I use the double wear foundation pump for the Loreal serum foundation, less messy 😃
I love drugstore reviews - thank you for your hard work!
Please consider doing similar top 5 for drugstore tinted moisturizer/light coverage products. Thanks
Thanks for doing a drugstore foundation video. I love the high end ones as well.
Thanks Angie, I love saving money and being able to easily find great makeup! 🥰
Loreal is my favorite brand, even for my hair. Have never been disappointed.
I purchased a pump for the L'Oréal serum foundation .. hate them dropper!
My problem is most of the stuff you use that I love & want, I can’t afford!🥺 Thanks for your honest reviews, I enjoy watching you!🥰
Your skin is amazing!
Thank you!
Thanks Angie for these great suggestions! I love starting my weekend off with your Foundation Fridays!! ♥️
I swear you look better than most 30 year olds I know! Absolutely gorgeous!❤️
After watching this I realized that I have used mostly L'Oreal foundations... could you do a concealer video ? Thanks.
Thanks for sharing!
I love 💕 the L’Oréal balm. Bought the last 2 in my shade at my local Walmart. Thanks 😊
Well, the L'Oreal True Match Nude really works for me. I'm 69 (and my skin seems to be improving a bit with sunscreen and foundation use) in a hot, humid climate. Thanks for posting.
Thank you girl it's so hard when you have mature and oily skin
Thanks Angie!!
Needed something affordable.. Always look forward to your videos!
I’ll have to try the powder foundation. Thanks!
I will have to try the Trumatch. The Infallible has been a fail for me and my 58 year old skin.
Hi Angie! Thank you for being one of the few content creators that addresses the issues we all face as our skin ages and all the effort and time you put into to make such thurough and detailed reviews. At 42, I'm struggling to find a foundation that works on naturally oily, aging skin that doesn't either slide right off or make my face look like the texture of an orange peel. Do you have any other recommendations for skin that gets oily in more places than just the T-zone?
