What a refreshing video ! All I needed was an older woman. Straight to the point, very clear on the positive and negative sides. Amazing ! Thank you very much.
Tamara! I am soooo grateful for your lesson on denatured alcohol!!!! My face has been sooo dehydrated and dry despite all my efforts, and I realize finally it’s my makeup causing it!! And it’s a high end makeup. I listen to a lot of you tube makeup channels, and I have never heard this mentioned before. You have saved my skin this winter! Thank you!!
I have tried countless high and low end foundations and always come back to true match super blendable, also am N3. Just a fabulous, classic, lightweight, natural skin finish foundation! I hope they never discontinue it!! So perfect. A great video, thanks!
True Match N1 for me. Perfect match- no fragrance- light coverage- I use very little because I only need a little. For evenings out- it's buildable. I love it.
Hello, I am a 66 y/o woman. I just found your channel. I can relate to a woman around my own age with the same issues we face around our age. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful advice. 🙏🥰🌻
We agree!! Your #1 pick is my fave & what I use on a daily basis. I'm 68 & it is great on my mature skin. I've always wondered why no one ever talks about it! Especially since its SO affordable! It wears like a dream & still looks good before I do my nighttime cleanse!
I am 79 years old so you can imagine how many foundations I have used but I found the L'Oreal true match about two years ago and I absolutely love it. My color is w3 and matches my skin perfectly. It looks so natural on my skin
I normally end up getting foundation at a high end store. The only reason I do this is because I find it difficult to find the right foundation without the help of someone to lead me in the right color. I have light skin and it is between rose and golden under tones. I would love to be able to purchase from the drugstore.
Tamara! Thank you SO much for this video. I have been desperately seeking a new foundation since last winter. I turned 60 recently and the product I was using just wasn’t doing me any favors anymore. My skin has changed again. Anyway I’ve tried a few things and didn’t like any of them. Then I watched this video and went out and bought True Match Blendable foundation and I’m so blown away!!! It’s beautiful on my skin, blends so easily, and the finish is flawless. I’ve had it on all day and it’s still gorgeous! I’m so relieved to have found my new foundation. I never would have considered a drugstore product if not for your valuable information here. Thank you thank you! ❤
FYI regarding L’Oreal for your viewers: Cat’s Eye Beauty just compared L’Oreal’s tinted balm to the new and very expensive Chanel 1 foundation and found a lot of similarities.
You do the best job I've ever seen at good info research and side by side comparison. You give clear descriptions of the consistemcy, shades, feel, blendability, coverage, dry time, wear, everything! Making it easy for us to decide if it would work for US.
This was very helpful. I use the Nude Tinted Serum and love it because it is the only foundation I’ve ever worn that doesn’t start to feel thick and gross as the day progresses. I can wear it on my oily skin all day and it still feels good.
I’m 58 with combination skin and the Nude Tinted Serum is my new favorite. The only foundation I like better is Cle De Peau radiant foundation, which is out of my budget range.
Great video Tamara! I loved the before and after foundation (with front, left, views)compared side by side on the screen. It was only for some of the foundations not all. They are very helpful please include in future!
Thank you for noticing my new editing technique...huge learning curve but its fun to do and I'm glad you found it helpful! I will be including more often for sure!
Thank you SO MUCH for all the links to your other videos!! Really saves time and keeps me from getting discouraged and just quitting before I find any videos that I want to watch😊
So helpful, thank you! I've been curious about the L'Oreal True Match Blendable foundation but hadn't seen any reviews on mature age skin. Your review was clear, balanced, and pretty much answered all of my questions! I also very much appreciate the 'control' type environment you used - natural light rather than a ring light, and in the same place/set up. Often, a product will look great in a review, but when you try it you realise it was just their lighting! I only discovered your channel today but I hit subscribe before I even finished this video! Now to make a cup of tea and dive into your other videos :)
In Canada, the L’Oréal tru match (your preferred one) has changed. It now has a pump, formula has changed and names changed. Grab some of your discontinued backups if you can. Great video, thanks.
I hated the new one I went to lumi true match I’m W3 I find it very sheer I wish she would of tried on her face because I think even though it looked warm it might of been more forgiving than she thinks if used sparingly.
Yay, nice to see my True Match in the #1 spot! N1 is the magic shade for me. It still looks as great on me now as it did when I was younger, I just have to use a lighter touch ❤
Omg im so happy ive come across this video so detailed and helpful for me the loreal foundations all sound promising but i will say they can get overwhelming with so many formulas, you are just so adorable tamara you speak so eloquently i could listen for hours. Thanks for this video !
The loreal tinted balm, has been my go to. I think it's what the Jones road foundation was trying to be but was unsuccessful. I love the light coverage. I don't like high coverage or even medium coverage for the fact. I want my foundation to just even out my skin tone and cover my redness and light coverage does that.
Actually the Jones Road WTF foundation is a very good foundation...I have that one and the Loreal 4 in 1 balm. A lot of young infuencers tested out the WTF and they didn't like it because it is not really for younger skin - younger skin that is more hydrated, It is for dryer skin. So if you have dryer skin, you will probably like, especially going into the winter months.
@@TamarasTimelessBeauty Hi Tamara - like you, I live in Minnesota....you should try the WTF foundation...I would be curious to see what you think. I think it is wonderful, now that we are getting into the colder months....I think Summer is finally gone.
@@laurabeissel9345 Hey neighbor! What a difference a day makes…yesterday probably our last day in the 70s…today…cold grey and wet. Anyway, I really must try the BB WTF. thanks for sharing!
OK my 2 favorite foundations are: MAC Face and Body and their new one called radiant which is just like it.. And Koh-Gen-Doh Aqua foundation- another beautiful lightweight one. Both of my favourite foundations and all of the ones I prefer have light coverage, are somewhat hydrating and look extremely natural to the point where you don’t look like you’re wearing anything or else it looks like you put on a little moisturiser..✌️🙂😘 ….
Age perfect SPF 50 is my go to foundation. It has a nice subtle radiance with full coverage and I always use Eucerin SPF 30 or more under it. I've tried several more expensive foundations, but always come back to this one
Tru match seems to look the most natural on you. I’ve tried it myself, it’s not bad but I do prefer ITs cc cream. Most other foundations I’ve tried from high end to L’Oréal actually make me look older. You have a beautiful complexion and look amazing with little makeup.
For a very long time, I mixed equal parts of two colors of a Clinique foundation to get my best match. Over time either their colors changed or my skin did, and it didn’t look right anymore. I’ve been searching for a replacement ever since. Videos like this help me a lot. Thank you!
Completely agree on the Denature alcohol ingredient in cosmetics; also listed as Alcohol Denat; it is extremely drying for the skin; especially us with dry skin. Thanks for your reviews.
You can return at drugstore even if you opened and tried. Save you receipts and try in a timely manner so it’s not too far from purchase date. All drug stores do this so no money needs to be waisted. Shade match is difficult at drug store for sure. Best place to get drug store foundations is Ulta because you have the benefit of a cosmetic savvy person on the sales floor that knows the merch. Less frustrating this way. True match is the best !
Hi! I"m so glad to find your channel. I'm 59years old and I have been wearing L'Oreal True Match Lumii n Soft Sable, for three years with my Combination/Oily skin with some dry patches. I love it because it does not settle in my fine lines, and I wear it mostly during the wintertime when I need it the most. Thank you for this video.
Thank you! Just ran out of my Bye Bye foundation from It Cosmetics which I've been using for years! I'm 72 and have wrinkles and age spots so it covered very well. However, I need a new foundation and my finances have changed since I'm now in a personal care home so I'm going with the last Loreal foundation you applied. Looks very nice! Thank you!
I loved this video! It's packed with great details with lots of different skin types considered. I learned a lot. I prefer high-end foundations--I had severe acne when I was young and couldn't wear many products from the drugstore. I always struggled to find the right shade and consistency because you can't try before you buy. Your video will make it much easier for women to find just the right LOreal foundation--so helpful, especially as some are tightening their budgets.
L’Oréal Visable lift is one of my go to for years because it lasts all day at work with no touch ups but Indont use powder anymore either so the Matt finish works well for me ❤
I agree with your conclusion at the end. I will pay for high end foundation to get the correct shade match and formula for my skin. I had always used Clinique foundation until I started watching UA-cam and began trying drug store foundation. I spent more money trying to find the right shade match and formula and it was so frustrating. I will not be buying anymore foundation at the drugstore. I am 60 years old with normal/combo skin and use tinted moisturizer or sunscreen as my foundation. My favorites are Australian Gold tinted sunscreen and DRMTLGY tinted moisturizer with SPF. When I do wear foundation I use Chanel or Lancôme. This was a very informative video! Thank you!
So very true about trying multiple foundations to get the correct color & formula . By the time you try & discard the mistakes , you could have gone to a high end store ,had the help of a professional & saved both time & money .
What a super-helpful video. I'm sure you've saved a lot of us, a lot of money! Thanks for your time and effort putting this reference video together; bet it gets many more views for many more years to come!
I dont' mind paying more for a good foundation. My experience is that they generally last longer and in the long run I'm not spending much more b/c there's no need to keep looking for something better, buying product after product only to be no happier than I was when I started looking. Having a foundation that I love makes the whole process of 'making-up' a lot less frustrating. As for the other products like blush mascara, lipstick, eye shadow, etc I can't see spending high end on those. And when it comes to skin care I will spend more for a product that is good for my skin, keeping in mind though that there are many good drugstore skin care products that do a good job and don't break the bank....a good moisturizer for day and one for night and a good sunscreen and I'm good to go. When it comes to cleansing my face I do a double at night, one to remove the make-up, and one to cleanse the skin. In the morning I wash my face with a clean face cloth and warm water.
I use Maybelline Dream Radiant liquid foundation. I’m 50. It’s buildable, has hyaulronic acid, not drying at all. It’s a hydrating formula. Under $20 Canadian.
I tried a lot of drugstore foundations over the years...then once I bought IT COSMETICS Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream SPF 50+ on Amazon. Cost - 46€ 🙈 I was feeling rich that day.... but that changed my life. It makes my skin look glowing and young. I can never ever go back. I still use some drugstore bb creams but only on ,,days off". To work I wear only my CC+ Cream.... love ❤️ your content 🤗 BR Maria
Thank you for sharing! The IT CC cream is a classic for sure! I have repurchased a few times! I also love their IT Your Skin But Better plus Skin Care which is a thinner, liquidy formula...super pretty!
Oh that True Match is really pretty on you!!! This is a great video because foundation is so important & sometimes so hard to find one's . . . True Match! 🤭 I use IT Cosmetics foundation most of the time - I just love it. Thanks for the info on denatured alcohol. So insightful! Have a great week ahead! 😊💪👏👍🥳 Melanie
Thank you Melanie! IT makes some gorgeous foundations! I love both the CC cream type formula and especially the newer, thinner your Skin but better plus skincare! Great minds think alike…thanks for sharing and have a great week! 😘💕❤️
I'm so pleased that Age Perfect Tinted Balm made the top three. I discovered it about a month ago and I love it. I did not know about denatured alcohol, it explains why I don't like most of the foundations I've tried, I hate the dry cakey look as the day goes on. I used concealers to cover dark spots and the balm goes nicely over it. I'm 58, with dry skin, mostly clear complexion, very few wrinkles, so this one is a winner for me. It evens my skintone, I like to makeup my eyes and wear bright lipstick.
Thank you for this honest appraisal of L'Oreal's drugstore foundations. I have spent more money trying to find the right formula and color than I have on one high-end foundation, so you are helping me save money. I follow the recommendations of a dermatologist from Denmark because we both have rosacea. She likes the L'Oreal True Match foundation because of its lightweight formula and thinks it may be a dupe for the Giorgio Armani foundation. My skin is drier than hers, so it's not one I would consider using. I have used Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick for many years because it is easy to apply and gives good, buildable coverage where I need it.
Great video love how organized you are and how you explain each in depth AND I appreciate that you apply with your fingers.. seems like most everyone else uses only brush or sponge now a days.
Yesterday I. Discovered the true match superblendable foundation has been reformulated with various skin care ingredients. A lable on the front of bottle says hyaralaunic acid. Sorry about spelling. was told colours remained identical. It was not included in your review. Would love to see your evaluation.
I have tried three L’Oréal foundations and they are iffy. I will try the tru match. It has been around a long while and if it’s Virginia approved and looks great on you, then I have great expectations 😅😊
Tamara, That was so informative, thank you. Yes I do agree that higher end foundations do deliver value. But I do use the L’Oréal also, putting on just a bit of makeup in the morning so as not to scare people at the gym. ( used to love revlon long wear but not any more -- same as you , 60 plus- does not work any longer) I also love Angie “hot and flashy “ recommendations; futurist Estée Lauder, Chanel, etc. thanks, enjoy your input very much!
Great video Tamara. I've been trying some samples from Sculpted by Aimee. I quite like their second skin dewy. The samples I bought were slightly too dark but it sat so lovely on the skin and was really flattering. It's an Irish brand so I'm delighted I've found a good quality foundation made by a fellow Irish woman.
Thank you!!! What a great video packed with helpful info! Appreciate the time you put into testing these for the rest of us! ❤Still searching for my perfect foundation so purchasing Super Blendable to try!
Hello Tamara - Always love your videos. You do a great job and I value your analysis and approach. I like the L’Oreal balm a lot and my skin tends to be combo - oily.
Great review Tamara, I have all the foundations, lol. Here in Canada they changed the formula on the True Match and gave it a pump, I really like it. Have a wonderful week my beautiful friend, take care!! Congrats on 80K!!! 🎉🎉🥳🥳
I use the Floral Infallable and love it. I have to moisturize Well (I am very dry) and us either a damp sponge or brush. My skin looks and feels normal w a slight glow and lasts all day. My fav of All foundations regardless of price. Thank you for these reviews...thwy ar always Well Done!
I worked at a cosmetics counter and they taught us to always powder your foundation. When you are young it's fine. I have found that as you get older it highlights wrinkles. So, I don't care what people tell you don't powder your foundation. I found that it looks more natural also. Don't wear anything metallic or shimmery. Do not wear frosted lipstick or matt. Use satin or creamy lipstick. Lip liner is good as long as it's not metallic. It's really hard to find creamy eyeshadow that doesn't have glitter or frosted sheen to it. I use different color eyeliner pencils and keep the color close to my lash line like 2 cm thick. I use a little powder eye shadow over that, Matt shadow only. That's what I did for the older glam girls. If you want to highlight use a lighter concealer in the same shade just lighter. I wish L'Oreal didn't put fragrance in their lipstick.
I CAN’T STAND L’Oréal lipstick! Exactly because of the fragrance. I found a great color recently, can’t wear it because the the smell. It had been ages since I purchased L’Oréal lipstick, instantly remembered why.
Let me start by saying I think I subscribe to a total of 3 UA-cam channels. Lol. As a full time working mom to teens, I don’t have time or the desire to listen to various UA-camrs/Influencers who may or may not be giving me good information about products. It is so refreshing to find you. You aren’t “one of those” people but rather, a “real” and honest reviewer who provides valuable information for the everyday, budget conscious person. THANK YOU for that. I have been searching for foundation with medium to full coverage that hides dark circles, various imperfections and doesn’t sit in my wrinkles/pores causing me to look older! I keep seeing videos where people are applying what looks like a balm-type make up with a dense brush and they instantly look like they have red-carpet skin. I want something that has this full coverage but doesn’t make me look like it’s caked on either. I also had no idea about the concerns with the denatured-alcohol in make up. I’ll be honest, there are so many ingredients we should avoid (and can’t pronounce), but it’s overwhelming. It’s like we need a top 5 list - so thank you also for saying that debar-alcohol in the first 5 ingredients isn’t ideal. Most of us don’t know what to start and need to “dumb it down”. Half the time I can’t even read some of these ingredients on the bottles without a magnifying glass! Having two teens who love make up, now I feel like I can help them to make better decisions about their purchases! I also want to complement the format of your video, I love the end result where you show the split screen of your face before and after. That was so helpful to see. My only critique, being a first time viewer, would be for you to show us more of your personality, which can be hard when you are essentially talking to a camera! Lol. When you spoke off the cuff with unplanned comments, I definitely felt like I could relate to you even more! I look forward to seeing more of your videos to help all of us feel more confident and educated in our make up purchases! -Nicole from Maryland P.S. You are truly one of the most beautiful women that I have ever seen! I’m wondering why you’re not on a morning-news talk show (like Good Morning America or The Today Show), as a consumer correspondent - you could have a weekly spot on “Timeless Beauty”. ♥️
I enjoyed your video, and really appreciated your honesty. I am coming up for 59 years. I have a cabinet of differing brands of products (!) including BB creams. It happens that your #1 product is what I have decided is my #1 (in W3) Thank you again. And you look great
L'oreal is my favorite drugstore brand. It's so good. I love the dropper bottle. It's so good. I have combo skin and still love it. It's gorgeous. Also love the Infallible in the Matte version.
What a great video Tamara! Interesting that there are so many variables within L'Oreal foundations and also between what's available in the US and the UK. I completely agree with you about the True Match - I'm on my second bottle - but happily ours has a pump :)
Thank you Dez! I'm so glad you like True Match as much as I do...how interesting it has a pump in the UK and not here. I need to buy a pump! Have a great week Dez! ❤️
HI, I just "met" you today, great video. You are so right, but trying so many different ones at the drugstore I have spent as much money as a high end one. Thank you. Cheers from beautiful Nova Scotia.
I'm cruelty free, so I can't use L'Oreal, but before I made the change, I never found a L'Oreal foundation to suit me. I have low end and high end in my collection, and really, there isn't much difference. Though there is a lot of difference in the price! It's trial and error all the way. Huda Beauty, a brand I love, was a disaster, for instance. But I found a lovely one in the ELF collection. One of my favourites was recently discontinued, so I'm on the hunt again. I do appreciate that you have emphasized the problems more mature skin encounters. I've found it best to apply with a very light hand, and then I use a tiny bit of my favourite RMCA powder to finish.
Foundation can be so tricky...especially at the drugstore but there are def some hidden gems. Check out my 2022 Foundation roundup top 5 bottom 5...there is a surprising drugstore cruelty free one in the top 5 that I absolutely love. Enjoy! ua-cam.com/video/qIs08oJdaL0/v-deo.html
Hi love the L’Oréal foundation they have a fabulous range to pick from I have a few of them & you can’t go wrong with any of them thank you for sharing 🌺🌸🌹
Thank you so much for such an informative video! I don’t think I’ve seen your channel before. That was excellent. Denatured alcohol……. Never have I ever heard of that but will be on the lookout now. I’m soon to be 63 with awful dry and dehydrated skin. Could be the culprit. I came across your video because I was considering purchasing the age perfect serum and it came up. Thanks again!
Thank you for your informative video. I have used L'Oreal foundations for years, and they are still my favorite. I have tried various high-end, but I've always come back to L'Oreal for my 62 year-old skin needs. Most days I mix Infallible 24hr Fresh Wear with a drop or two of the True Match Lumi Glotion. On days when I am rushing to get out the door, I use the 4-1 tinted balm-sooo fast to apply! Would you do a blush-only review? Thank you, again, for your time and effort.
Tamara, you really put in a lot of effort for this video - time and money. Have you tried any cushion foundations-kind of like a damp compact. I have fallen in love with the first one I’ve ever tried by Florasis (the fancy packaged Chinese cosmetic brand). I also bought one by Dior. For me it solves a neurotic issue I have with putting foundations on with my fingers and the fact that I have never liked full coverage. It’s always great to watch your videos and hear you voice and see your face.
This was a big one...it took forever LOL. It's been on my list for months so glad I FINALLY got it done. Thanks for sharing YOUR Favs...sounds like we have similar preferences. It's always a pleasure to see YOUR lovely face pop up in my comment box. 😘💕❤️
New subscriber 😊 My last foundation was the L’Oréal visible Lift but I’ve realized that any foundation with spf melts off my face during a work shift (I work in a nursing home, usually in the hot and humid basement laundry room). I’m currently trying Cover Girl Olay liquid foundation and that’s much better than the Visible Lift.
I worked in Nursing Homes for many years and I know how hard you work and how hot it is in the laundry...thank you for doing your part to care for the elderly. I haven't tried the cover girl. L'Oreal True Match is quite long wearing. And the new Elf Glam Foundaiton is also quite long wearing. And super affordable! I reviewed it here: ua-cam.com/video/HE-EvP3P7vc/v-deo.htmlsi=MONODFOektQti2QP
I found this very informative. I am 56 and had combination skin but have noticed in the last 5 years or so that my skin is getting drier. I loved your explanations about the ingredients as I wouldn't know what to look out for. I think your skin in this video looks very luminous. I'd love to know what your were wearing on your skin. It looks great.
Tamara, first I want to say thank you for saying you don’t use primer. I have never used primer. My skin care takes care of my needs. I appreciate you trying out all these L’Oréal foundations. My issue with L’Oréal is their shade range. I find some of them them too yellow toned. I have trouble finding the right shade. I tried the Tru Match in N2, but it did not work. N1 was too light, N3 too dark. I virtually tried some cool shades but I could not find a match. I do have the 4 in 1 balm in both Fair 20 and Light 10. I love the feel of it and the very light coverage. The two shades combined are not perfect but I think they are close enough to work. Than you for the info about denatured alcohol. Also fragrance. My skin is very sensitive.
Thank you Mindy! And oh my yes...shades can be so frustrating! And I don't see any good reason for fragrance. Finding foundations is tricky...especially at the drugstore.
Thanks for this L'Oréal comprehensive video. I think this brand is the overall best at the drugstore. The ProGlow is one of my absolute favorites - 204 is my color. It is so similar to the Dior Forever Skin Glow, which is my #1 foundation. I love them both so much. How about L'Oréal concealers? What is your opinion?
Finally a pump! ...But it was also reformulated which made me very nervous...I did a side by side comparison recently in this video here....luckily it's just as good! ua-cam.com/video/zw8Y6hiLxEQ/v-deo.html
Great video, thank you!In my opinion, the most succesfull one and ideal for all the skin types is the True match easy buildable,no need of extras ,its buildable, suits great with any powder or any other make up materials, and the coverage is exactly to the point.+1 for the hyaluranic accid included which makes the skin stable and hydrated in the right ammount face needs.
I still DREAM about their Infallible Never Fail 18 hour foundation (red pump top). I wore that daily for over 10 years until they discontinued it about five years ago. It still has high ratings on their website and people begging to bring it back ;). I’ve tried three other of their foundations since then, and none of them have the similar texture (I can use the adjusting color drops to change the shade a little bit, that’s not the main problem). Thank you for this upload though - I may give another one of theirs a try :-) I currently use the true match luminous one a couple of times a week and it’s decent. Just not the sort of amazing coverage and adhesive wear of their 18 hr discontinued one.
Me too. For a while I could get it on ebay but now they only have one it two or three colours, not mine unfortunately. But have a look in case it's one you had. It's so annoying when companies discontinue a popular product for no bloody reason.
Very helpful! I'm surprised at your disdain for Lumi. I love it for my mature skin. True Match is amazing, too. Not moisturizing, imo, but it is a top spotter for me, too. The coverage is great, but its thin and melds into your skin so nicely. The infallable is too drying and accentuates my wrinkles. Also tends to oxidize on me. I so miss the discontinued Ideal Balance. It was dewy, soothing and my very favorite. 😭 Thank you for helpful your review. Your skin is amazing.
I was getting nervous; thought my favorite L'Oreal foundation would not be one you reviewed. But it was and it was the #1!! I have used the True Match C2 for years; love it. I will try other foundations but always come back to this. I splurged and bought Giorgio Armani luminous silk and it's nice but I will not continue to buy because of price. Also I just purchased the Wet and Wild photo focus because of all the rave reviews; I have not tried it yet. Thank you Tamara for your reviews. You do a fantastic job! Also because of you I finally decided to let the gray come in. So far I am liking it; can't wait until it's all gray. My hair seems healthier. Have a happy Sunday!
Great minds think alike...it is SO good! And how exciting to be on your grey hair journey...not always easy, but lot's of inspo on youtube and insta. Hang in there!
Amd i love the balm- the 2 light shades as well-- its so light- so bare feeling- i wore it lasr summer- it felt wonderful- and no scent. Perfect for in watm months. Great video- thank you Tamara.
I sure wish they would bring back the Infallible Never Fail 18 hour foundation (it was in a bottle with a red pump cap; discontinued about eight years ago) perfect coverage and perfect finish for my 50ish skin. I used it for about eight consecutive years. I tried the fresh wear Infallible and found it too runny plus strongly dislike the fragrance (and I normally do NOT mind fragrance)! Thank you again for your very thorough uploads :)
Thank you Tamara for providing the information about the denatured alcohol in these products. Disappointing to learn that my favs all have this ingredient. Will be trying the True Match for sure!
Love that Tru Match and the4 Balm on you. I find it very frustrating to find the right color when ever I'm at the drugstore. Lovely review. My favorite these days is the Dior Forever Glow that I found at Sephora. I did a review on it. I was so impressed.
Wow, yes that was a lot but very timely. I was in Ulta & Sephora yesterday racking my brain trying to find a backup foundation. I usually wear a luminous Mary Kay N190 & N210 and I love them both but I needed an in between order backup. Good grief I left these stores frustrated…and empty handed. Thank you for your hard work. ❤
Thank you Connie! Foundations can be overwhelming and frustrating for sure. I do like the Sephora Best Skin Ever Foundation...tons of shades and just a nice medium basic skin like foundation. And the price point will be actually be less than drugstore with the upcoming sale.
@@conniepleasantnails Ps., if you like luminous foundations check out Charlotte Tillbury beautiful skin and estee Lauder Futurist. Both have a lovely, moisturizing glow. A little higher end… it you can get samples and try before you buy!
@@TamarasTimelessBeauty I wanted to give you a quick update. I ran over to Sephora today and got a sample of two colors of the Best Skin Ever Foundation. I applied primer to one side and not the other. The product for my lizard 🦎 skin wasn’t horrible but what I didn’t like is it is settled into some slight texture issues I have around the sides of my chin. It’s very subtle but I noticed it right away. I also feel their version of “neutral” is probably better than most. The warmth is very slight. Which is a plus. I am going to try it all day tomorrow with my night cream and no primer to see if this helps. So grateful I was able to try before I buy. Thank you again for your experience & helpful suggestions. ❤❤❤

With the mention of denatured alcohol in the ingredients list for all of the products except for the last and favorite True Match. Just wondering why?
Love your style of reviewing. Very much needed for seniors with a fixed income. Thank you.
My mom worked for Lancome for years, she always said buy Loreal because its made by them!!
What a refreshing video ! All I needed was an older woman. Straight to the point, very clear on the positive and negative sides. Amazing ! Thank you very much.
Well Tamara is younger to me-not older!!
Thank you!!
I'm so glad you found it helpul!
I have tried countless high and low end foundations and always come back to true match super blendable, also am N3. Just a fabulous, classic, lightweight, natural skin finish foundation! I hope they never discontinue it!! So perfect. A great video, thanks!
Thank you for sharing!
They already discontinue in Canada 😭😭😭😭😭😭
True Match N1 for me. Perfect match- no fragrance- light coverage- I use very little because I only need a little. For evenings out- it's buildable. I love it.
Hello, I am a 66 y/o woman. I just found your channel. I can relate to a woman around my own age with the same issues we face around our age. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful advice. 🙏🥰🌻
Thank you Mary! And welcome...I'm super happy to have you here! 😘💕❤️
Agree 💯
We agree!! Your #1 pick is my fave & what I use on a daily basis. I'm 68 & it is great on my mature skin. I've always wondered why no one ever talks about it! Especially since its SO affordable! It wears like a dream & still looks good before I do my nighttime cleanse!
Thank you for sharing! ❤️
I am 79 years old so you can imagine how many foundations I have used but I found the L'Oreal true match about two years ago and I absolutely love it. My color is w3 and matches my skin perfectly. It looks so natural on my skin
That is awesome! Thank you for sharing ❤️
I use W3 also. 😊
I used Lancome products for 40 years, but now I’m transitioning from higher end to drugstore. Thanks for your reviews!
Really enjoyed you comparing all these Loreal foundations!
I saw that! I love Cat! ❤️
Having tried both, I don’t see any similarities lol. The tinted balm has no coverage just color and the Chanel has coverage
You do the best job I've ever seen at good info research and side by side comparison. You give clear descriptions of the consistemcy, shades, feel, blendability, coverage, dry time, wear, everything! Making it easy for us to decide if it would work for US.
Oh my gosh, thank you so much for such a lovely comment! I’m so happy you found it helpful! ❤️
This was very helpful. I use the Nude Tinted Serum and love it because it is the only foundation I’ve ever worn that doesn’t start to feel thick and gross as the day progresses. I can wear it on my oily skin all day and it still feels good.
Thanks for sharing!
I'm so glad you found them helpful! ❤️
I have used Loreal Pro Glow for years, it gives aging skin a beautiful radiance and it will not accentuate imperfections or settle into lines!
I am 45 years old with my natural gray hair, so I find your channel really appealing, I just subscribed.
Yay! Welcome! Super happy to have another Silver sister here! ❤️
Same for me…48, silver hair and very dry skin! 🤗
In Canada, the L’Oréal tru match (your preferred one) has changed. It now has a pump, formula has changed and names changed. Grab some of your discontinued backups if you can. Great video, thanks.
Right I don't care for the new formula.
So if you have dryer skin, you will probably like, especially going into the winter months.
oops, drier not dryer.
Thank you for sharing! ❤️
It's wonderful to have a cousin who was a makeup artist. Your reviews are always so informative Tamara. HappyBirthday. Blessings, and love..MaryEllen
Thank you MaryEllen! And Happy Belated to YOU! 😘💕❤️
OK my 2 favorite foundations are:
MAC Face and Body and their new one called radiant which is just like it..
And
Koh-Gen-Doh Aqua foundation- another beautiful lightweight one.
Both of my favourite foundations and all of the ones I prefer have light coverage, are somewhat hydrating and look extremely natural to the point where you don’t look like you’re wearing anything or else it looks like you put on a little moisturiser..✌️🙂😘
….
I have been meaning to try both those foundations! Thank you for sharing! ❤️
The True Match is a workhorse of a foundation. I emptied the bottle into a bottle of Tiente Idole I had finished because it had a pump.
Great idea!
The new version has a pump.
@@goldieff I’ll be trying this once I ‘thin the herd.’ The one I have in the Lancôme bottle is the older formula.
After watching your video, I purchased the L’Oreal true match foundation. I love it! For under $10, it’s a win. Thank you!
Yay! I'm so glad you love it as much as I do! Thanks for sharing! ❤️
Carrie,
Where can I buy it?
I get confused about color. Choices? ❤ Loreal. Maybe it's just me.
I buy from Ulta and they allow you to return no questions asked. Great video! Thanks!
I have used True Match Lumi its great but try their ProGlow too it does not settle into any fine lines.
Thank you!
Thank you Janette!
Try the It cosmetics Bye bye foundation!! I luv it even more than the CC cream! Doesn’t crease in lines and lighter texture
Try the Loreal ProGlow it also makes your skin look glowing and young!
Thank you for doing all the sampling/experimenting for us!! I learned a lot!!
Thankyou. I am 73 and have dry skin also. Struggling to avoid the pasty look. This has really helped me!
Try patting in a few drops twice daily of The Ordinary 100% Rosehip seed oil under your moisturizer before you apply foundation.
Great video love how organized you are and how you explain each in depth AND I appreciate that you apply with your
fingers.. seems like most everyone else uses only brush or sponge now a days.
100% agree with the number 1. I use it in 3 shades with the lightest as my concealer. This is a reliable basic.
Tamara,
That was so informative, thank you. Yes I do agree that higher end foundations do
deliver value. But I do use the L’Oréal also, putting on just a bit of makeup in the morning so as not to scare people at the gym.
( used to love revlon long wear but not any more -- same as you , 60 plus- does not work any longer)
I also love Angie “hot and flashy “ recommendations; futurist Estée Lauder, Chanel, etc. thanks, enjoy your input very much!
Thank you Susan! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video...Angie does great foundation reviews and recommendations! ❤️
I just googled...Sculpted by Aimee looks lovely! I'm so glad you found something you love! ❤️
I'm not a foundation wearer. But I tried the balm and love it. Thank you for this video.
It's such a cool product!
Hi Tamara, I just found your channel. I will be 63 in less than a month. So great to find you, someone my age!
Happy Almost Birthday! And a very warm welcome to you...I'm super happy to have you here! ❤
@@TamarasTimelessBeauty thanks Tamara. Happy I found you
Thank you!!! What a great video packed with helpful info! Appreciate the time you put into testing these for the rest of us! ❤Still searching for my perfect foundation so purchasing Super Blendable to try!
Thank you Julie! ❤️
Hello Tamara - Always love your videos. You do a great job and I value your analysis and approach. I like the L’Oreal balm a lot and my skin tends to be combo - oily.
Thank you Jane....and Thank you for sharing that the balm works on your combo/oily skin!
Thank you for sharing!
The last foundation was the best match for you. Great video!
Thank you so much for that ratings. I use L’Oréal which I love but you showed how I can improve on my use of it!
Honestly the last 3 foundation looked lovely on your skin. Thanks for this review!
Thank you Ruth Ann! ❤️
Your favorite is my favorite. Use it for 4 years now. I call it my skin perfector.
Thank you for sharing! ❤️
I enjoyed your video, and really appreciated your honesty.
I am coming up for 59 years.
I have a cabinet of differing brands of products (!) including BB creams.
It happens that your #1 product is what I have decided is my #1
(in W3)
Thank you again.
And you look great
Thank you Kimberly! True Match is a good one!
You are so beautiful, you remind me of my mom who has nearly identical hair, I love it 🥰🙏🏻
Great and informative video!!!! True Match has been my very FAVORITE for years ❤❤❤❤. Thanks 😊
It's so good! Thanks for sharing! ❤️
Glad you spoke about ingredients. I’ve been contemplating looking up that. Thanks for doing the work.🤪I have even drier skin then years ago.😬
Proglow is my staple for 10yrs. But just purchased the true match blendle and the age perfect serum. My high end staple Smash box Halo healthy glow.
L'oreal is my favorite drugstore brand. It's so good. I love the dropper bottle. It's so good. I have combo skin and still love it. It's gorgeous. Also love the Infallible in the Matte version.
Just bought the true match! Excited to try it out.
Thank’s for all the work you put into this.
Thank you for sharing! ❤️
Another chanel said that Neutrogena Healthy Skin Foundation is a dupe for Armani Luminous Silk. I love the Armani, so want to try it.
I just picked it up…will have to compare!
@@TamarasTimelessBeauty I"m excited to see what you think. Thanks!!
I love the L’Oréal 4in1 tinted balm. I don’t like foundation but this is nice light and evens out my skin. ❤❤❤
Best advice buff beige L'Oreal true match old version!
I cannot believe you're nearly 63! Beautiful ❤
😘💕❤️
Your favorite True Match super blendable is now available in a pump! I’m going to give it a try. Thanks
This was a great tutorial I enjoyed very much! I have purchased purchased many products with your stamp of approval!
Right?! I was bummed to see it #3 in my Pro Glow!
@@TamarasTimelessBeauty Yes, the Pro Glow is my favorite, then the Serum Foundation. Will be using them less often now!
not from drugstore, but I found that the bobby brown Intensive Skin Serum Foundation is very good for my mature, dry sensitive skin.
Thanks for sharing!
Love that Tru Match and the4 Balm on you. I find it very frustrating to find the right color when ever I'm at the drugstore. Lovely review. My favorite these days is the Dior Forever Glow that I found at Sephora. I did a review on it. I was so impressed.
Thanks for sharing!! I'll check out your review! ❤️
@@TamarasTimelessBeauty I have an errand to run today so I will check it out. Thank you 😊
@@conniepleasantnails Ps., if you like luminous foundations check out Charlotte Tillbury beautiful skin and estee Lauder Futurist. Both have a lovely, moisturizing glow. A little higher end… it you can get samples and try before you buy!
@@TamarasTimelessBeauty Thank you 😊
@@TamarasTimelessBeauty I wanted to give you a quick update. ❤❤❤
