I plan on paying different games alongside Shogun 2. I did state originally in this comment i would be playing Mount and Blade Bannerlord but mods are barely updates on that game and i'm not enjoying it as much as i thought i would be. No, it’s more like all they will see is light, since the Chosokabe soldiers developed fire arrows. So the last thing they will see before they die is a bright light. And then another bright light after they get hit by the bright light.

Fun fact: This guy is great not for being good at editing: but on not quitting and actually finishing any total war game campaign. For multiple times. That's a superhuman thing.

@@Pilps i have 100s of hours across about 3 different total war games.....and have yet to finish a single campaign lol....even on easy.....
@@Shifty51991some definitely get easier once you establish yourself, like Rome II. Once you take a significant amount of territory and are making good money to field a few armies, no matter on what difficulty, finishing just becomes a matter of time.

This, made me shocked for couple of turns . All my vassals turning up on me, every clan hostile. Only after capturing kyoto , things settled down.

What's better is both of them decimated thier neighbor from the main land
And the funny thing is that Japan and Britain DID have a long-running friendship and naval alliance(which was partially how Japan got dragged into WWI). A large number of Japan's capital ships from the post-ironclad era were actually built in England, including the likes of the pre-dreadnought Mikasa (the Japanese flagship at Tsushima), and the battlecruiser Kongo.
@@jedimasterdraco6950 and funny part is, due to different height between British men and Japanese men, a lot of stuff on board will be difficult to operate by the Japanese. So their solution? Hire Japanese crew that eat meat a lot (and growing up with better protein intake leading to better growth) but it was frowned upon because many Japanese still don't eat beef.

Could be worse, it could have been an Avalorn DLC where they give a new variant of the Sisters of Avalorn with some melee weapon to go with their magic bows. This makes them superior to regular Sisters of Avalorn with no downside. Next LegendofTotalWar video: my new favorite Doomstack.

@@wealthybone2990 not really commonly no. The did use the japanese versions of Pavise shields in sieges though and placed them in the ground for arrow fire

@@SRX33 @Vali G. They are deadly, but it doensn't have the same feel. Out of every tw iv played, shogun is the only one that maeks me fear arrows. Because none of the other ones have a single entity get hit by 200+ arrows that all actually colie with them and turn them into a human pin cushion XD

I remember the exact thoughts I had first time picking a faction. These guys have really good archers, and no one uses shields? YESYESYES!

Not true! if you have horse archers you can chase down those fleeing units!
Also I like to have a 1 unit of ashigaru spearmen for every 5 units of bowmen and defensive firebomb throwers in the mix. Why? Because the spearmen act like a mobile wall to pin enemies in place so the bows never have to get into melee range!
My favourite tactic to use against Shimazu players is to setup my bows in the trees and a formation of spearmen just in front. Then I use horse archers to bait the troops out of the castle (it's shimazu so they were going to charge anyways) and lead them back to the treeline where the bows finally step out and being firing.

Having played this exact campaign with the same mods this is 100% accurate and by the late game you pretty much don’t have to pay attention as the bow samurai spears will do all the work for you

It's kind of madness that Shogun 2, after almost a decade, still has the best arrow visual and sound effects and death animations of any of the total wars.

Watching Daikyu Gōshi tear apart samurai and ashigaru alike is like watching an Armstrong Gun from FOTS wipe out a unit with a single shot. Purely satisfying.
Destroying units in seconds from firepower is so satisfying in any total war game, especially shogun 2

Chosokabe, reenacting the ending scene of The 300 before the movie was even made
i'm becoming so fan bro!!! besides the funny moments you make in the edition, there's a lot of epicity in those scenes where you can notice that there's an expanding empire under your control, with that music and the way you move, conquer and display units in the battlefield, like a hard-working process that is becoming effective. Not to mention the brutal effect of the Chosokabe archers, my god!! I'm gonna play with them as well haha.

Yes, but the rain is not water, its ARROWS
When the arrow storm hits you so hard that your body ragdolls/smahes so hard in the ground because of the arrows that your blood stays behind. And that it only seconds later remembers it is bound by the laws of gravity.

So I was watching this during my first ever Chosokabe playthrough. Got to the part where you achieved campaign victory in 1556, thought I had missed some major moves and decided to restart and delete my saves.
Realized a little later that you were using mods.
That's a couple hours of my life down the drain because I was too dumb to read the description.

Never has the yari wall spam + archer spam felt so satisfying than when you take on 2 advancing armies... and make them run in fear.
