10 out of the last 10 flights, I've had someone sit in my reserved seat. I either remove them myself or ask a crew member's assistance... They always have that "why is it so important to you where you sit?!" look on their faces... they spend the rest of the flight with a frown after being shooed off the window seat :D. I took the time to reserve it, you didn't.
Mohammed Salah I agree, if you have reserved your seat you should get your place. Most of the time you pay upfront to reserve, why should someone who has not paid take it?
And even if your seat is given to you randomly for free while doing your online check in without paying any extra - that’s the seat the company gave you so you sit there. Any douch bag sitting there basically will have to move . People behave worse m than animals these days . Hopefully it will change .

Blankets in economy class in most airlines are not cleaned after every flight. Instead, they are cleaned periodically. The fact that a blanket is in a sealed plastic bag is no guarantee of it having been cleaned. Most airlines repack used blankets. I don't use blankets in flights. Instead, I layer clothing, putting on and taking off the outer layers depending upon the temperature.

I would not use the blanket. Lice, scabies, bad smells - sky is the limit! I only use them if they are wrapped in plastic (which at least suggest they have been washed), and then only if they smell "fresh"! I rarely use them anyway, because I can never sleep in economy class. On my rare long flights in business class, the blankets seem ok. In the old days, before blankets were wrapped in plastic, the air hostesses handed out blankets individually, only upon request. In my experience, they were always clean.* After a flight, they were not left sitting for the next passenger. *Edit: An exception may have been Garuda Airlines, HNL-DPS, 1991. Also notable: "Breakfast" at 3 am DPS time, high above New Caledonia, was a very sketchy shrimp cocktail. On the plus side, we stopped unexpectedly at sunrise on a tiny Melanesian island called Biak, where a group of children & teens sang a pretty song for us. I have no idea why we stopped. We got out, sat in the grass by the tarmac for an hour or so, and got back on. The children were mysterious.

Don't assume that a blanket has been washed simply because it is in a sealed bag. Most airlines usually fold the used blankets and repackage them to make them appear as if they've been cleaned.
I'm a podcaster, and I have a portable microphone stand which always gets me dinged at security. Even when I take it out and put it in the bin, it doesn't matter.
My apologies, I asked you in a previous video to review Egypt Air; you already did! I like how you choose not to battle with the lady that took your seat. As odd as it may sound, you thought me an important lesson; not all fights worth fighting for.
I hate Egypt Air for my own reasons, I don’t recommend it AT ALL... bad service, lack of equipment/entertainment and rough flights. The only thing I liked was a foot rest. As a person who has slight motion sickness, Egypt Air was the worst of all of my flights and I’m a quite frequent travel from South Africa to Morocco. Even though Qatar has some (minor) issues I would still 100% recommend Qatar over Egypt Air.
I am a flight attendant and thats very unhygienic. If it cost an airline too much money for replacing the seats with new blankets on short haul thru flights they shouldn't even bother giving blankets if they are not clean.
I have a bunch of titanium and screws in my right wrist that set off EVERY metal detector. Without fail they do a visual check to ensure I have nothing up my sleeve...
I like your videos and I like flying, but when I try to book a certain flight I had in mind (E.G. Ana a380 NRT-HNL) it's too expensive. How do you fly certain routes you want, inaugural flights, etc. without having it be double as expensive as the next flight down? Or do you just pay the 1,000+ dollars to get the flights you want?
Dude you touched the gaspers (personal air vents above your seat)! When do you think they were lasted cleaned?... the blankets cannot compete with the potential germs on the gaspers... :)
Sadly all the airlines from the Middle East tend to use the older planes and the ones in poorer condition when they connect to Sub Saharan Africa. I remember many years ago flying Singapore Dubai then to Accra with Emirates, and the quality in the plane and service between the two flights could not have been more stark.
Last year I'd traveled with Lufthansa from Cairo and my seat was stinking very bad. As far as I see Egypt Air looks much better than most Europeans Airlines.
Your worried about the blankets? 16 years in civil aviation. #1 thing I do before I'm settled is wipe EVERYTHING around me down. Including the headrest which is the grossest part. These planes aren't cleaned well at all.
I will not be flying Egypt Air again. Aircraft too old; arrived in Cairo 10pm local time on transit from Accra; waited 3 hours to be taken to hotel and got into hotel room at 3am. Arrived in London Heathrow and bags from Accra didn’t arrive. Waited 8 days for bags to be delivered.
The main goal of an airline is to bring you from point A to point B safely. The main duty of the crew is to ensure your safety. Other than that, all other aspects are extra's.
@@BonniesMoToRanch the crew should ensure that the cabin is tidy and presentable especially when passengers are boarding, to give a good first impression. Even before landing the crew will usually tidy up the cabin... in some premium cabins the toilets are "cleaned" after each passenger use.. maybe that's just my experience with the airlines that I've flown
I flew EGYPTAIR many times when I was living in egypt it wasn’t so catastrophic. It’s an African airline after all. Delta & AA are much worse considering they should have western standards.
381mamadou Maghreb does not include Egypt. no matter your sentiments for Egypt or egypt air, it is the second largest AFRICAN airline and the third African country by population. It is dangerous to make assumptions about strangers or comparing things you do not know. Being a steward doesn’t mean you flew many airlines. South African has an old fleet, its in and out of bankruptcy and it does reflect on the service. Ethiopian is a step above Egypt Air and it has a decent modern fleet though a terrible excuse of a hub and well below par service, catering and entertainment. Kenya is also fairly bad, unorganized like it’s run by amateurs. None is on their way to even get close to the likes of AF, Lufthansa or British and not even by a wild stroke of imagination nearing the highest standards of Emirates, Etihad, Qatar, Singapore, Cathay, Ana, Qantas.. Africa is a beautiful continent that has such diverse offerings from the north to the south and from east to west but it serves no one to deny the state of things even in the tourism industry as a whole.

I work as a baggage Handler for American airlines. I love my job. The only problem is the people you work with and the weather along with your heavy bags. Other than that I love my job and love working for the best Airline in the U.S and world.
I use Egyptair for long years after trying other airlines. I can confirm that this one is the best of what I tried, although they were very famous. You need to test the business class of B 777-300er for long flights like Cairo-Toronto (11+ hours), amazing from the lounge in Cairo terminal to the aircraft itself (high-level, clean, VIP service). Please check other airlines in the same category before criticizing this respectful airline by this cruel way and hateful smiles.
I am glad you did this airline. I have not flown them even though I am in the region. I pretty much stick with Saudia, Emirates, Etihad, Lufthansa, British Air, or Air France.
I flew Egyptair while I was on a tour of Egypt. Never again or only when necessary, for me. They were short flights, all on 737-800s. Cairo to Luxor, Aswan to Abu Simbel and back, and Aswan to Cairo. One of my seat would not remain in the upright and locked position. Windows were dirty. Front pockets were broken. The only thing I liked was the safety video.
UUGGhh ! Rather you than me...unhygienic would be one way to describe the blankets !! Funny you mention things in your luggage that seem to attract attention. I do a lot of voice over work and take a USB Microphone with me when I travel. Its well packed in foam etc and I put it in my checked baggage. Its been through airports all over the world and on x - ray appears as a solid cylindrical device. The ONLY place where I have been asked to open my bag and show them what it is was in Vanuatu !! Heathrow...Charles De Gaulle...Singapore...Hong Kong etc have never asked me !! Except for some aspects of the flight a reasonable trip !! Looking forward to your adventures with Gulf Air !!

With all my respect to airlines and pilots around the world, I would choose EgyptAir over any other, regardless of price. Each one of those egyptian pilots is chosen meticulously and the landings are so smooth that on every single trip, passengers clap their hands for the pilots. Mind you I am not a pilot and I don't work for EgyptAir. My number one concern is always safety
Yesterday’s CAI-LCA slammed so hard on landing, I thought landing gear was damaged, so not sure about smooth landings as out of 4 recent flights only 1 was really smooth. Also even if pilots are world champions, if airline is cutting on safety in other areas, including maintenance, pilots may not save you.
Bro I just took a flight from Dubai to Cairo about a month or 2 ago and I found absolutely no trouble at all. They had these fancy 16” screens with new movies and all that. I don’t know what you’re on about and put in mind the price you pay for the service you get. It ain’t that bad tbh and probs would fly again. Oh and I was on economy by the way so I didn’t pay for the luxury or anything that’s the standard.
how does the Star Alliance group decide on which airline to join and become part of the group? I am a LH frequent flyer and trust Swiss, another star alliance member, but would I trust ALL star alliance members? such as Egypt Air?
You reminded me of my first and only flight on Egypt Air in the mid-80's, Dhahran to Cairo on 747 which looked like the first of its series. Your experience was way better than mine. The plane was really old, grimy, with some broken seats that they didn't bother to repair anymore, giving the impression that it was bound for a junkyard sooner than later so why bother, might as well squeeze the last juices out of it. I was in that flight!! Well, it was better than a cattle plane, if there was such a thing. Ten minutes after take off, we noticed that the plane was just circling around the airport and not gaining altitude. What do you know - the pilot finally announced that there were some 'technical issues.' Obviously there was - the plane was supposed to leave the airport but it didn't! Many hours later, we were boarded in another aircraft flown from Cairo. From that time on, all I ever wished was a safe takeoff and landing. Having been in that flight just lowered my acceptable standards of air travel. LOL! It was not exactly a near miss but I couldn't help thinking, what if?

Good review, but one question...why would you use the pillow after you saw what they did with the blankets?
This is an old Egyptair product, you should try the new seats on the 737-800 NG and the 787-9
You are right, but still...an old aircraft doesn't justify the messy cabin! And those blankets...
Cleanness and hygiene have nothing to do with how old the aircraft is. These issues would continue even if Egyptair has a full fleet of A380!

Thankyou Josh. This will be another airline I will not use.
Love your videos!!! Just discovered them keep them coming!!!😁😁😁😁😁
Guys did anyone of you knows what this boarding music calls on the minute 4:23 ? Thank you 😊
Love your videos Josh
I am a flight attendant and thats very unhygienic. If it cost an airline too much money for replacing the seats with new blankets on short haul thru flights they shouldn't even bother giving blankets if they are not clean.
I've been loading planes for 22 years so far in Phoenix Arizona
I have a bunch of titanium and screws in my right wrist that set off EVERY metal detector. Without fail they do a visual check to ensure I have nothing up my sleeve...
Not anymore but yes I did work as a ramp agent. I worked out at Dulles Airport in Washington DC . I worked for United Express.
One of the best flights , I would recommend Egypt Air to anyone
I like your videos and I like flying, but when I try to book a certain flight I had in mind (E.G. Ana a380 NRT-HNL) it's too expensive. How do you fly certain routes you want, inaugural flights, etc. without having it be double as expensive as the next flight down? Or do you just pay the 1,000+ dollars to get the flights you want?
Dude you touched the gaspers (personal air vents above your seat)! When do you think they were lasted cleaned?... the blankets cannot compete with the potential germs on the gaspers... :)
I flew Eqypt Air two years ago and they were smoking in first class. I thought it was 1975 and couldn't wait to breathe some sand.
I'm sorry about what happened, btw these days smoking in the airplane is a crime so don't worry 😊
@@yassinhamza05 You're a sad shill. Get a life.
chancy319 ayy be nice u butch
Hotels reuse their blankets all the time..... You don't always get new sheets, so idk about the blanket situation....
Cant wait for Gulf Air. My favourite airline😍😍
Newsflash. That blanket you have in the bag was more than likely folded after passenger use and, put in bag. Most blankets in flights are 🤷♀️
I will not be flying Egypt Air again. Aircraft too old; arrived in Cairo 10pm local time on transit from Accra; waited 3 hours to be taken to hotel and got into hotel room at 3am. Arrived in London Heathrow and bags from Accra didn’t arrive. Waited 8 days for bags to be delivered.
Omg why is the cabin so messy... what were the cabin crew doing?
It's not there job to clean after passengers...
The main goal of an airline is to bring you from point A to point B safely. The main duty of the crew is to ensure your safety. Other than that, all other aspects are extra's.
Don’t you mean where are the cleaners. A crew members job is safety not cleaning
Last month I had bad experience Lagos to Toronto
No food
My baggage torn
Misplaced my sword 100 year old
@@BonniesMoToRanch the crew should ensure that the cabin is tidy and presentable especially when passengers are boarding, to give a good first impression.
381mamadou hmm no. Middle eastern and Asian airlines are wonderful.
@381mamadou DEMONS EXIST AND THEY HATE HUMANS SINCE ADAM AND EVE SAVE YOUR SOULS THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL DECEIVERS AND MASTERS OF EVIL. HELL IS REAL DONT LET THEM MAKE YOU THEIR VICTIMS.
DEMONS EXIST AND THEY HATE HUMANS, IT IS TRUTH THEY HAVE BEEN AT THIS WORLD FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS. JUST GOD LOCKED THEM HERE CAUSE OF UNTRUSTWORTHY BEHAVIOUR DISERESPECT AND THEIR HATE OF HUMANS TO BE THEIR PUNISHMENT,CAUSE HUMANS ARE MORE CLEVER THAN WHAT DEMONS THOUGHT.
AFTER ADAM AND EVE THE WORLD HAS CHANGED CAUSE GOD MADE HUMANS AT HIS OWN IMAGE AND LIKENESS AND THE TRUTH OF THEIR HATE LIES IN THE RELIGIOUS BOOKS OF THE WORLD.
CHECK THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD FROM THE PROPHECIES OF THE BIBLE TO THE FAKENESS OF THE QURAN CAUSE SATAN AFTER CHRISTIANITY WANTED HIS REVNGE SO HE MADE HIS RELIGION WHILE CORRUPTING THE WORLD. SEARCH WALID SHOEBAT ON THE INTERNET AND LEARN HIS STORY. READ JOHNS REVELATION FROM THE BIBLE CHECK WHAT GOES ON IN THE WORLD AND LEARN HOW TO SAVE YOUR SOULS CAUSE THE WORLD IS OF HATE.
IF YOU ARE HOW THEY WANT PROBABLY YOUR LIFE IS NORMAL AND IF YOU CHANGE THE SPIRITS OF HATE START THEIR HATE. SAVE YOUR SOULS.
SEARCH DAVID LYNN AND WALLID SHOEBAT. MUHAMMAD WAS DECEIVED BY SATAN PRETENDING TO BE GABRIEL.
THE QURAN IS THE REVENGE OF DEMONS.
Gianera John the only time I had my baggage damaged was on a Lufthansa flight! I have flown Ethiopian and other African airlines over a hundred times.
Actually based on my experience Egypt Air is a very nice airline , very warm cabin crew and good food
Love the content♥️
If it helps, I thought he was respectful. He did not discourage me from flying with Egypt Air at least. :)
I am glad you did this airline. I have not flown them even though I am in the region. I pretty much stick with Saudia, Emirates, Etihad, Lufthansa, British Air, or Air France.
So where do you live??
British airlines are declining they were so good! Egypt air is only good on long haul flights
You Should Try Them Again,
...On A Newer 737, Like SU-GEL With FANTASTIC SEATS, Personal IFE And More
You have a high Patience level... Love from India...
Are you that spice jet guy??
No...
Cyril Sebastian HHAHHA LIKE AIR INDIA IS ANY BETTER 😂😂😂
@@ymnm9375 no AIR INDIA is far better...
Cyril Sebastian The air india who has old planes? The air india whos whole cabin stinks of curry? The air india who has dirty seats and tables? The air india who has rude flight attendants? The air india whos food is unhygienic? The air india who everyone hates? That shitty air india?
It's not that bad. On Saturday I flew from Cairo to OR Tambo. The service was good and I had no problems.
Does it have a TV ? , the one from Cairo to SA
I flew Egypt air from Dubai to Cairo and then onto Athens. The service was okay but the cabin crew was really helpful and over all a decent service
Tanishq Joy how was it. I’m taking the same flight. Are the airfare new or old
The aircraft were old. Dubai Cairo was 737 and Cairo Athens was Embraer 175 I think. Hope you have a good trip. No delays
Finally , You Have tried them!
Hi Josh, I fly fairly frequently with Oman Air ZRH-MCT-BKK and I take small 1:400 aircraft models too Bangkok for sale. Everytime I have to open my handluggage at MCT so security can look at the models.
Another at Benina Benghazi International Airport where I was going for a 2hr and 30min flight to cairo and they stopped me because the were suspicious about my Diary of the Wimpy Kid, It's a book?!
I used to work for SAS Ground handling at Arlanda!
Used ro fly with Egyptair every year from Canada or England to cairo. Never had an issue and their boarding was always on time
Ps keep in mind! Egyptair stafety video is played first in arabic then in english to it takes time, and taxi way was clear and quick
Maro Production still no an excuse
@@hadiesmaeil5975 yh but on long haul flights safety vid is always played, crew is always nice! And have tried 777-300 Er 787-9 and A330-332 and the A330-200, have tried all of them and the safety vid has always been played during taxi and was finished before take off!!
Hi Josh. Did you visit Bahrein,or just flew from there to London as you mentioned in the video?
CANNOT believe they re-used the blankets between flights !!!
Bollywood Media u re so funny really , if u tried Emirates Etihad us the same as well , or u think they re buying new blankets for every new flight !!! Omg Indian mind 😫
Wow good to know
Yesterday’s CAI-LCA slammed so hard on landing, I thought landing gear was damaged, so not sure about smooth landings as out of 4 recent flights only 1 was really smooth. Also even if pilots are world champions, if airline is cutting on safety in other areas, including maintenance, pilots may not save you.
Hey Josh I used to work as a baggage handler. Great job for a plane enthusiast.
No different from Emirates they repackage their blankets, they do not wash them as they stink of tobacco and I have found hair on them.
