Heya Josh, Have you any intentions of doing the 'paper' airline Air Sainai flight between Cairo and Tel Aviv? One of the hardest airlines to get a trip on. Super secretive.
Airline seems like rest in peace not peace air 😂😂😂😂😂

Joshe Make Nigeria Great (and safe) 🇳🇬
The Peace you Get from Air Peace is when you walk to disembark the plane and realize you won’t have to fly with them ever again! 😅
it is free market, market will regulate it self
it is the peace you receive in the afterlife when the plane crashes
The peace you got from Air Peace is nothing but an Air Piece of s***
15 out of the 30 planes are not even air worthy 😂
Fact is Air Peace is extremely unsafe. That’s what many of their pilots claim and there are many reports online how the airline tries to hide incidents and accidents. If you have a death wish, go ahead and fly them :)
As a Nigerian, I stopped bothering to defend things related to them a long time ago. We deserve 90% of the criticism we get. Even the ignorant ones

Years ago a Nigerian friend told me she never flew on their airlines. She made that mistake once and told me there was a fight on board before they had even left the runway. I asked, why didn’t the cabin crew throw them off the plane? Because, she said, the people fighting WERE the cabin crew!! 😐

Flew into Lagos in the Spring of 1977. Spent two months in Nigeria. Hard to believe that the country has not progressed/ improved/evolved in 45 years. Corruption is killing any progress.
The country has not made any progress because it was a vessel for Europeans to make money rather than a country. That place should be at least 6 different countries or regional government so that there will be some kind of genuine will to make progress by the different nations.
Rather, the western powers that put the crazy place in together are hell bent on keeping their company intact. Even the youtuber that made this video was probably paid by them as to justify why the UK has refused to grant Air Peace a slot so that they will keep extorting money from Nigerians with high airfare. There is a lot of bias on this video! But of course, Nigeria gave him the opportunity to push such narrative.
It really isn’t surprising, black countries or cities get worse not better.
All of Africa buddy
I've had some bad stopovers, but 2 months?

@@NewTrip_NewAdventure yeah, like JAL 123 And the china airlines 747 that had its tail completely break off
Out of curiosity, how many tail strikes do you think it would take to cause the damage shown in those pictures? I'm no expert, but it sure looks like a lot more than one to me.

As someone who used to fly regularly to Dubai 10-20 years ago, seeing the interior of that plane was an absolute throwback.
The craziest part about this was the fact that you actually, literally and willfully flew in this plane.

Hi Josh, i know you did this video about a year ago, but its only today that i have viewed it and i really want to take the opportunity to thank you for going out of your comfort zone and bring a very objective overview of the various airline operators so that we are well informed. Thank you once again, keep doing the great job and come back to Uganda and do another review of our airline industry as well.
It’s amazing that they still show a safety video when nothing appears to be safe about them
Those crew working hours are highly illegal - I did a calculation based on the data available of the flight from March 6 that you took. The crew was at the gate/ground for 5 hours + 5,5 hour flight time - landed at 14:22, departed at 16:52, equals to another 2,5 hours on the ground in Johannesburg, another 5,5 hours flying back to Lagos. That makes 18,5 HOURS IN TOTAL! This is madness and should be reported to the Nigerian Aviation Authorities! Edit: In fact the plane was never allowed to take off with that delay unless a new set of crew had been called to operate. SHOCKING!
I doubt they'd do anything anyways
What can you expect from an airline like Air Peace?
From SOP ( Standard Operating Procedures) Working period can not exceed 14hrs, as long haul flights like this one will require the crew to have a rest or a layover of not less than 10hrs at the destination or another crew takes over for the return, if the same crew operate for the return without having that amount of rest, its of no doubt against regulations.
To be honest, I would be surprised if they even knew anything about that, and even if they did, they probably wouldn’t do anything. Air Peace probably paid off the top guys (probably the only guys) at the Nigerian transportation department for them to turn a blind eye to whatever they knew would be illegal in Nigeria or other countries.
Mate i live in africa (Angola) as an indian and in know the hectic stuff of africa, but this is just unextable, this could be illegal but if the press dont care so what can we do.
Former flight attendant here (Qantas). There are so many safety hazards in this video and it’s the complete opposite of how we were trained & how flight crew should be trained & behaving. Such a lack of cabin presence! And those hours are illegal & super dangerous. Thank you for another honest review!
Nigeria is 12th largest producer of petroleum in the world, rich in natural gas, coal, gold, tin, iron ore etc but Western countries loot the wealth of these African nations to keep them poor. Because of that, they cannot afford to spend millions like Qantas to train flight crew!!!! Step out of your bubble and learn how the REAL WORLD works!
don't even blame them either with the ridicuolous hours they end having to do, you'd be so irritated
I’m looking to work for Qantas as a flight attendant aha, so excitef
I’m only hoping there’s a crew in Johannesburg waiting to relieve them
At least that’s what I’d want to think
What you recommend being a flight attendant ? Or are you an ex flight attendant for a reason 😬😅 just starting to look at career options and feel like it looks like a bit of fun of paper but once actually doing it feel like it could turn out to be a bit crap haha.. probably with air nz if anyone 😁

I don’t know why some airlines get offended when Josh is basically given a free consulting advice!! And he’s doing it for free. Airlines should take these advice in a welcoming manner instead of acting like a little child.
ACTING LIKE A ROUGH GANGSTERS
I suggest you study human nature
The airlines don't need advice from Josh. They know exactly what's going on. But the owners put the money in their own pockets and don't give a fuck about safty.
In this case at least, they almost certainly know of all these issues already and the root cause is probably either that they don't have enough money or more likely, they are cutting corners because of greed. Since they have no intent or ability to follow that advice, this is simply bad press that has the potential to reduce their revenue. Why would such a person be happy about this situation? Don't assume all people want to do what is best for everyone or sometimes even the company. Trying to harass the reviewer and/or making fake reviews to improve their reputation is cheaper than fixing the actual issues (though also less likely to succeed).
If I remember correctly, Air Peace is and ran by a seedy person anyway. He don’t intend to improve this product. There are going to be a lot of half trained people loosing their job when this airline goes under. The only person who is profiting is the shady person who runs it.
You have a lovely nature Josh, very patient with Air P.E.A.C.E (Passengers.Expect.A.Crap.Experience) thank you for another great video!
Damn man, this was actually really good!
Oh…love that!

Jesus christ, if a flight is delayed and an official comes in and says "our challenge presently is securing fuel", I'm out of there.
It literally means, they haven't paid their fuel bill in a long time. And the only place they can secure fuel is "The Black Market" ! Black Market Fuel, It kind of makes you wonder what's in it....
There was a general fuel problem in Nigeria then that the aviation industry was waiting on the government to rectify. So airlines had problems refueling then. It was a very brief period in Buhari's regime. A lot of unusual things happened then

This puts into perspective that Nigerian student I met some years ago in the Philippines being amazed that a local budget airline in a developing country like Cebu Pacific was being run so smoothly and professionally and had such polite and friendly crews.
It is also the oldest Asian low-cost airline. So is its competitor, Philippine Airlines. First and oldest Asian airline.
Cebu Pacific is a great airline.
I’ve flown Cebu Pacific and the cabin crew were amazing. Even on the very short flight they played a game with prizes! So friendly and always smiling.
The Philippines is not a rich country compared to western countries and even some asian like korea or japan but nigeria is a whole another lower level.

A320 family pilot here (for a great European airline). I was blown away when I flew a 737 classic with Air Zimbabwe from Harare to Victoria Falls….they operated it single pilot!! I’m not kidding. This was 10 years ago, and had I been flying then, I would have got off. Looking back on it, it was madness.
Their maintenance teams were on strike at the time and there was almost no fuel in the country. All the petrol stations had cars parked for days in queues just waiting.
Anyway, please do one on Air Zimbabwe! Love your vids. They really make me realise how good my airline is!

'It still has a lot of Emirates vibes' - That's the understatement of the video! They haven't even replaced the arabic instruction labels in the aircraft! Anyway, good to know you survived another epic journey on Air Drama. Thanks for the video!
Well there is an ex norwegian Twin Otter operating in Scotland UK that STILL has the labels in Norwegian and English unchanged since its last day of service in Norway around the 90s before they were retired and sold off.
Nigeria has a huge muslim population, so I bet some could read Arabic
Remember also that those labels are certified. It's probably $$$ to replace

If they are fully qualified they are a commodity, they should have no problem getting jobs elsewhere.
They are knowingly flying alongside unqualified staff, and therefore part of the problem.. The Governments should remove the landing rights of those airlines.. I flew all over Africa until mid 90s .. Nigeria was and still is a S*** hole ..

unfortunately, I think air peace is the only option for some people, as it is probably cheap and better than nothing
I worked in Nigeria in the 90s and used to fly Nigerian airways, the experience was very similar to Air Peace, the amount of bush meat they used to bring on the plane on the way to London often resulted in blood dripping out of the overhead lockers! As for safety, we did an unscheduled landing at a military airport, we were then told that the runway was too short to takeoff and the plane would have to be offloaded, bit later they came back and said they had re-done the calculations and they could now take off! Your assessment of flying in Nigeria is quite correct, but in my experience it is far often bad rather than good. I’m 80 years old now, so we do not need to travel anymore thank goodness. a great video keep up the good work. Thank you.
Ohhhhhhhhh my goodness! I'd not have taken off with them again. Magical recalculation and all of a sudden they can take off? tzzzz :D :D

Seeing those shopkeepers sleep at the stores really breaks my heart man
True.
But I'll tell you why as a Nigerian.
1) Most of these people live so far away from the airport and recieve very little pay. Which makes them take the hard decision of spending the night at work.
2)The public transport system (high speed trains, buses) that are present in many developed countries are non existent in Nigeria. Which causes serious traffic to work in the morning. Many People who live in Lagos, leave their houses 5 hours before resumption time, just to meet up.
3) Most of these people are not paid well enough in their jobs, so they sleep at work to reduce expenses. The Naira has lost so much value, that people tend to spend almost 70% of their pay on breakfast, lunch and transportation to work and back. Leaving very little for other things like rent etc.
These are a few reasons why they sleep there.

Go take your smartphone out and try to record LED headlights of any car outside your door right now you see even more flickering due to LED lights having an even slower rate ( same things: framerate VS led Hz not being in sync.)

@@saebmjafri "Maybe there is a shortage of jobs." You are 100% right. Many of these flight attendants are only there because it's the job they were able to get. This is the story of Nigeria. 4:05 exactly! I always think about this when i hear something like it
Omg my friends were just trying to book a group of 23 passengers on this terrible airline . Thank you they changed the airline !saved by you thank you
If you are coming into Nigeria, I suggest you fly Emirates.
The Nigerian population is enough is enough to feed it's airlines. And Nigerians are among the most traveled citizens in the world
I worked for a company in Kenya that had us travelling around Africa. Our travel agent wasn't allowed to book us on Air Peace for Nigerian trips, if it was the only option, the trip would be cancelled.
It sounds like you work for a company that actually cares about their employees. That’s great that you weren’t made to decide to risk your life for your job!
The airlines in Kenya are actually worse! The hardest landing I’ve ever experienced happened on Kenya airlines last year
@@uchechukwunwanze1257worse than Air Peace? Name the airline you fraud!!! 😂😂😂

Truly you take some very serious trips on dodgy airlines. I wouldnt set one toe on such an airline. Brave mate, very brave.
You are either a total loon, or extremely brave.
Not in a million years would I fly with them.
Thank you for your life saving post!
Having travelled on various airlines throughout West Africa, all I can say is that you're far braver than me josh to fly on these type of airlines.
Glad you made it back on the ground safely.
The week this “so bad Air Peace” airline started flying to London, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic Airlines decided to cut their ticket by 40%. What a coincidence They just do not want any competition.
I commend you for flying on these dangerous airplanes I also saw the state of Air Tunis , it was horrific I wouldn't take these airplanes even if you pay me...luckily you got to JHB safely bro I'm sure you were holding your breathe the whole time.
I don’t know how I found this channel, but I am so glad I did. I first thought this guy is so negative, but then I continued watching. I love this guy and his channel. Have you heard of this?
All airlines... or most have this period where they don’t have the best service. Lasts for a few weeks or months.
Some other airlines have bad service, depending on the crew and where you fly to.
However, a small percentage of airlines have bad service ALL the time.
Having worked in Nigeria for three years a decade ago, I can see things haven't changed. The airport looks the same (I used to depart from the D41-45 gates), the seats are the same and the people are the same. I have traveled the world and have never found a group of people who could turn on a dime from being friendly with each other to wanting to fight each other and vice versa. Hat tip to you, Josh, for traveling in Nigeria on your own. Another hat tip for your nerve to fly Air Peace. Love all the videos and your honest reporting.

Tail strikes are a serious situation and can lead to catastrophic failure due to damage to the rear bulkhead. The fuselage of a plane is not like a skid plate on a truck where by it can be damaged and still used. A 777 without proper maintenance is a recipe for a disaster.

Hi there. Just want to pop in and say that you shouldn’t let Air Peace make you think that all airplanes are unsafe- if you fly with a reliable airline, they know what they’re doing and it’s completely safe. Depending on what country you’re from, here are some reliable airlines:

Frontier

Allegiant
Emirates

As an ex Cabin Crew. When you start the job & when you become a flight attendant you very excited and can't wait for the experience, but once you start flying, you quickly realize its not at all what you expected or what it looks like on the outside. Very often you working on limited sleep and, passengers are often rude and difficult to work with, and with no sleep and dealing with that it affects your mood immensely. Any carreer in aviation is mentally emotionally and physically challenging. I'm not saying its okay for crew to be rude but alot about the job affects your mental health & thats why I left.

A good friend worked for a software company that provide systems for airlines. He would share stories of how the African airlines were notorious for requesting historical data to be deleted be from records… typically after some type of incident or crash. They were told no but it didn’t keep them from asking.
the airline is required to only schedule you for 14 hours, and the most you can work is 16 hours in a day, after a 14 hour day or your "trip", you are required to have 10 hours of rest and cannot work for more then 6 consecutive days, so you can work 6 days in a row but the 7th day, you a required a 24 hour break
For those wondering why the workers are sleeping inside the duty free shops at night :
- - Reason # 1 :
If they don't sleep there the police will break in and steal the duty free goods at night.
- - Reason # 2 :
They usually work 48 hour to 72 hour shifts twice a week so they only change their clothes and have a proper shower when they are on leave (typically for 24 hours).
Reason #3: the air conditioning probably works uninterrupted and the toilets are (hopefully) clean.
Reason #4: It would probably take all night to get home, sleep an hour or two, and get back on the road to work through unending “go-slow”.
Qualifier: I have lived in Lagos and understand how things usually run in that beautiful but unfortunate city.
Why don't they have sleeping bags or something? Sleeping on the dirty floors? Gross

My Igbo brothers think that they can run an airline like a bus transportation company in Nigeria. From what I’ve watched, it’s actually a miracle that no AirPeace plane has crashed to date.
I’m sure a crash would immediately put them out of business, and expose their lack of care for maintenance, or anything really. Wouldn’t even be able to blame manufacturer of the aircraft, the immediate verdict would be the glaring lack of maintenance.
🤣🤣🤣
Can we give credit to the pilots who have to fly that garbage bin vehicle?
@@michaeldiaz6224 if i was the pilot, i would respectfully resign because I can’t risk my life for the selfish owner
“Running an airline like a bus company” wow that’s honestly a perfect comparison. I have to imagine a lot of buses in that part of the world are just like that, but also in general, if you neglect maintenance on a bus it doesn’t run the risk of turning into a manned suicide drone.
