I put the three best saws against each other looking at power, endurance and overall value. They each have their own high points. I did want to mention that there are some tools available with the pro line that I haven't seen in the commercial line. A shop vac, a decent powered pressure washer and a fan. Possibly some Bluetooth stuff as well. I had to convert a Snapper xd shop vac to have one at 82 volts.
I purchased all this stuff on my own, so there is no influence from a vendor on this testing.

I have three small Greenworks saws; besides my big EGOs. Two of the Greenworks are 24v; a ten inch, and a twelve inch. Using the same battery; and both running full chisel chain; the ten inch is a bruiser! You can really lean on it without it 'prematurely' cutting out.
The twelve inch; by comparison; is a 'sissy'; it doesn't take much pressure before it will shut off.
I called Greenworks and asked them 'what was up'. The person that I spoke with told me that each saw model is designed independently from the one above or below it. So while the ten inch may have been designed for 'beastly' power; the twelve inch may have been designed more for runtime; or something like that.
Each chainsaw has it's own 'personality'. I just learn what each one is like; and adapt my cutting strategy accordingly.
Fifteen battery operated chainsaws, (including the mini ones), and counting.
Highly entertaining in my retirement years! I'm surprised that at my age; I can still whip around a twenty-three pound chainsaw!

@@John-cj3ve that's what I like about the 60v with the 8ah battery... it doesn't cut out.

The 60v tests I've seen from you and Tool Hombre are very impressive!

I think the 8Ah battery is doing all the work on the 60V. More Watt-hours means more cells to spread out the load. >50% of the value of the kit is that battery, IMO.
I got the Pro and if you try a 4Ah in the 20" saw, it cuts out almost immediately. Seems like the saw was designed for that battery specifically. Probably why it comes as kit only.
Glad to have seen someone compare the 60V to the 82V. Thanks for the review!

I agree, which is why it's so upsetting that the 4AH battery comes with the 82v kit. It needs the 5 as a minimum.

Killer intel on the 4amp batt on the 60v. I was thinking of picking one up as a second batt for lighter duty work and the lower price, but think I'll just stick with picking up another 8amp.

@@sam-ww1wk It may be that any 'ultra power' battery can do it. There is an 'ultra power 4Ah'. Mine is not. It's an older version.
I have not tested this though.

Hi, I changed CHAIN SPROCKET on my 60CS25 (similar to GS181) from 0.325 to 3/8 (Part number 339012028A) and bar, chain gauge .043" MODEL# 2904502 or .050" MODEL# 2904102. After that saw works much better, especially with .043".

    • @reusefull
      @reusefull  6 місяців тому +1

That's good information. I might give that a try. I know 0.43 cuts faster because it's thinner, but the bar feels a little flimsy to me. Maybe I'll do a comparison, thank you.

@@reusefull Well, if you'll get spur sprocket kit(Part number R0200302-00) instead of rim sprocket, maybe it would fit on 82CS34 and will not slip off. I think for GS181 will be easier even with .050", 3/8, 18" bar and semi chisel chain vs .050", 0.325.
And thank you for great videos.

@georgiykachurovskyy6995 I would definitely prefer that spur sprocket, and I'm curious to see the difference 3/8 pitch and chain makes on the same chainsaw vs .325. I would like to find a 20 inch bar for the 3/8 setup. I appreciate the idea and I'm going to follow up on it.

I had no idea that increasing the amp hour rating of the battery; would increase the power of the saw.
I thought it was only about runtime.

There's a definite difference when you're near the output capacity of the battery. I tested the 82CS34 with 4, 5 and 8ah batteries and it had more cutting power each time the battery size increased. I tested the GS181 and it didn't make a difference in power, just runtime.

Also I can't wait to see what the hogsaw is capable of! It would be awesome if you got those two new ego 20" saws too.

I'm interested to see the specs on the commercial series, but the other one says 55cc, which seems seems way behind what is already out there, so unless I come across a fairly inexpensive deal, I don't know if I'll be testing that.

Have you tried bio-degradable bar oil? There's a brand you can get online at home depot called "better than oil" I believe it's $20 a gallon.

I think the Husqvarna needs a carburetor tuneing

I'm not saying it doesn't, but If it does, it came from husqvarna that way.
