I love your collection so much, Gina! 😊🦋💙📚 So happy that you love the magazine I bought for you! What fun it was to find those golden books together! 🤩 Maybe we’ll find more this visit! See you for morning coffee! 😅☕️💞 Awesome video!!
You had me at PIlcher!! And vintage?? yes, please. ❤Oh my goodness, the short story in the magazine!! That is such a treasure! I'm going to be on the lookout for the nonfiction books. I really want those in my collection. I'm so impressed with the condition of those paperbacks. They look brand new!
that postcard reminds me of my grandma's writing! my mom's mother was from England and I always wanted the 3 of us to go together but both passed before that happened
Your collection is amazing!!! I’m still working on mine and have dreams that someday I’ll own as many as you do! Thank you for sharing a close up look at all those beauties! And that notecard…what an amazing find!!!! ❤
Hi Gina, I love your Rosamunde Pilcher collection! Have must returned from a holiday in Cornwall so I am catching ip with your videos. Have just finished reading her short story collection 'A Place Like Home'. I really enjoyed it. Xx😊
I am also collecting all of Pilcher's bks. I am thrilled that you introduced me to her. Winter Solstice was the first I read because you spoke about it so often😁. It is my favorite so far. I took the Blue Bedroom into Rehab w/me. That C-Mas story is in there as you know. Loved that and ALL the others; but the actual B.B. story itself, was my least liked. Unless it was the pain med... I am presently reading The Shell Seekers, really enjoying it.(don't like the son). I have the exact 2 copies of September, found the hardback in a library sale, also! Would love to get The World Of Rosamunde Pilcher. Thanks Gina, this was great as usual but wee bit better because of who you spoke about!🤗🤗
So fun to see this! I discovered Rosamunde Pilcher for the first time this year and I’m eager to read more. September and Coming Home are next on the docket.
It's so nice to see you all glow up and happy showing your collection :D Those golden harlequin books are so pretty! For me, i want to read all H.Konsalik books in my life :D And some day collect them as well i suppose.
September was the first book I had read as well through the library! What a coincidence! 😊 It’s been a while since but I remember loving it too. I have Shell Seekers which I haven’t read yet but looking forward to one day picking that up. Loving your videos btw ❤
What a wonderful collection! The Women’s World magazine is a real treasure. I’m currently reading The Shell Seekers for my main summer read and loving it. I, too, read September and Winter Solstice first, but I know they will be rereads in the future. Happy Summer reading!🌸
You have some amazingly beautiful books there - I love those decorative covers! I’m lucky enough to have a really beautiful hardback copy of winter solstice, still unread and being saved for winter. I never read the shell seekers during the big hooha of it triumph over just about every other book in the 1980s but last year was given a copy And that is still unread. I think the size of them frightens me off! I’m so busy I’m sticking to short books at the moment. But I did get my hands on an audiobook of coming home which I’m going to listen to in the car when I’m coming and going. as I’m a huge lover of vacationing in Cornwall, I look forward to her stories about Cornwall. And here’s my most important news for you, Gina - I recently had put together a puzzle of all of those covers like what you were holding up of Young bar, et cetera - those kind of vintage covers. That was a really fun jigsaw puzzle. You would love it if you like putting puzzles together. I have since given it away but I bet you could find another one on eBay or something. You’d love it! Thanks for sharing!
Winter Solstice is so good when read around Christmas. I WISH I could travel to Cornwall.... one of these days. That puzzle sounds awesome. Unfortunately with four cats and a rotating cadre of foster kittens, puzzles do not do well in my house :)
Fun collection! Our book club is reading The Shell Seekers for our August meeting (a reread for me). The hosts are Jen from Jen's Reading Life and Rebecca from Rebecca of Wilson Hill. You're welcome to join us!!
Hi Gina, my mother used to buy Woman's Weekly every week so I must have read that story at the time. Needless to say she didn't keep all of the copies of the magazine. Also did you know there is also a book 'Rosamunde Pilcher's Cornwall' which was published in 2019 which is a guidebook which takes the reader on a tour of the key areas and places that inspired her creative writing. Another one for your collection I think.
I will have to hunt for that book Anne I think that I'd heard about it before, but it hasn't been on my radar so thanks for brining it up. It sounds wonderful (and like I need to plan a trip...)
How do you explain her writing - I've read several and they just pull me in - beautiful escapism...are there any video recordings of how she writes, etc. I would love to know more of that. She's so fascinating...
@@GinaStanyerBooks Oh, that would be wonderful as well!! Here's the only thing I have found with her talking about her works and life -- I want more! LOL. ua-cam.com/video/QOpXiWcqplo/v-deo.html

Love this! It has been years since I read any RP books, but I remember l loved what I read. You have a cool collection, and this makes me want to read one of her books. I've read The Shell Seekers and September. What would you recommend?
I love RP. Starded reading in 90s. Yestreday I bought 7 book of her on the fb market, each of them under a dollar. Im from Hungary 🥰 love your videos!
Nice book score! Thanks so much for the nice comment. ❤️
Absolutely incredible shelf tour! Your videos are actually inspiring👍
❤️📚❤️ What a special collection! I am reading September for the first time next month!
Thank you! I reread September and The Shell Seekers this month and it was glorious.

Hi Mitzi! I’m having so much fun collecting these. It’s such an adventure.
I love to watch the enthusiasm you have for Pilcher’s work. It is contagious. I hope you find more treasures in the future.
Thanks so much.

Probably The Day of the Storm.

Hi Gina, I don't understand why I now prefer Miss Reed's style to RP's
Well, you know I love Miss Read too! Some of RPs 'small' romance books are really not very good (but I love them anyway.)
