It was wonderful seeing this interview of my favorite author. It is hard for me to put into words the joy that her books have given me. My favorite book of her’s is Winter Solstice. I read or listen to it at least twice a year. Being a 79 year old widow and living alone, especially during the trying times all over the world, i find her books and movies have given me great comfort at this time of my life. I am so sorry she is no longer with us and the world will no longer have books by Rosamunde Pilcher. I hope that somehow her family might read my comment and realize what reading pleasure she has given me as well as her millions of fans. May she Rest In Peace.
My favorite author. She responded to a letter I sent years ago, such a lovely keepsake of mine. She has a special place in my heart. I’m so happy to see others here making similar comments.
@@barbarabuccola8121 In 2021, I'm reading it now! I was amazed at that grocery list and the amount of alcohol that was purchased!! I know they were going to have a party but it was a LOT!!
Omg ! I just fineshed!!! I Love all her books and i was wondering if somebody apreciate her, as i do! I m soooo happy there more people who loves her !
She responded to a letter I sent to her in the late 1990s by sending me a card with a picture of Cornwall she had taken herself. The message was lovely. It’s a very treasured possession. Lovely to see this interview.
No one writes as Rosamunde Pilcher. Simply the warmest, most articulate, sharpest mind at description and perspective of any writer. Mrs. Piilcher unlocks truths about being a mother, a daughter, husband, son, or any heart searching deeply, even desperately for a chance to give and receive love. I'm a wiser person, if I may say it, because when I read her novels, she gives be her wisdom. Never cliche, always fresh, yet familiar in tone of voice. When I finish one of her novels, I wander around the house, bereft for a time because her families have become mine, and curiously enough, I a part of hers somehow.
I began reading Rosamunde Pilcher at the age of 62 and have read Coming Home, The Shell Seekers my 2 favorites and probably 10 more of her shorter stories. She really can take you into feeling her characters, she is an artist at understanding emotion. I could so relate to Penelope Keeling and her family. I am reading her early short stories tonight. In this insane time to be living with this Covid 19 and cities being destroyed amid rising Marxism it is nice to get away from it all for a little while with this talented ladies beautiful stories. She was a rare jewel and I am glad I found her work.
Just reread Coming Home, Shell Seekers and Winter Solstice for the umpteenth time. I never tire of her books. Wish the stories would go on and on. I always want more of her characters. ❤️
I really enjoy her novels, especially The Shell Seekers! But the first one I read was Voices In Summer, which I found in an old 2nd hand bookshop. Really good story. I know most of her tales are romantic nonsense, and most of the characters are well heeled and live very charmed lives, but she mixes in Bohemian characters and lots of interesting and challenging situations. There's always tremendous attention to detail of her numerous characters and I also love the descriptions of Cornwall...I've never been there, but really want to visit! I'm addicted to Rosamund Pilcher novels, and hope to read ALL of them!!
My mother introduced me to Rosamund Pilcher's The Shell seekers when I was young. Loved her books light hearted easy reads they have become old friends. RIP lovely lady.
Thank you, thank you for posting this. I simply adore her and relished every minute of the interview. Rosamunde Pilcher's books have brought me countless hours of sheer contentment, and when life gets hard, there is nothing as comforting as getting swept away in one of her wonderful stories. I am heartbroken that she is gone. Quite a special lady.
Her books are so well written. Rich descriptions, warm. My favorite book is September, a great book. Am reading winter solstice, so far it's lovely. One of my favorite writers
Love, love her. Her books have helped me escape from some rough times in my life. Went to Dundee once and, oh how I wish I could have gone down the road, knocked on her door and said “ Could we have a cup of tea, and talk? “ I would have loved to talk to her about her work and life.
Thank you for posting this video of the great Rosamunde Pilcher her books have brought such joy and comfort to many readers .. may she rest in peace ❤️
I started reading as a very young girl. It became an important part of my life. I have read books of all kinds. The Classics, historical, science fiction, murder mysteries, autobiographical, you name it and when I read and reread and reread Rosamund Pilcher, I feel like I am coming home after a long journey. Like drinking a cool fresh glass of water on a hot, sweltering day. I adore her and her writing. I always hoped she would write one more book......

Me encantan sus películas. 😍bendiciones...
What a diamond
I wish I could find the Shades of Love part 4 on UA-cam. I watched the first three parts but was left stranded unable to find part 4.
I found it, but in a different language. I watched it and could at least see how it ended.
Her stories were at times a bit too "pat' for me but always colorful, charming and full of rich detail: a lovely soul was Rosamunde
LOVE her books, but this is a gawd-awful video ~ sound not synced AT ALL!
