Nice submission. PSA is really all over the place with their grading, lol.
That 75 Yaz is beautiful!!!!!!!!
Awesome cards! Love the Post cards and the Mathews is great! 75 Yaz rocks! The Bench Cup card is definitely
his best and I need to move that 70 Jackson up my list! Ha!
When I was a kid, Harmon Killibrew and Boog Powell were my favourites....only because of their names. We had no baseball on tv back then,
I really liked the 68 McClain. What a great year and couple of years he had. Some really nice cards there. Oh how grading has changed. 8's are the new 10's.
Great reveal, you scored pretty well across the board. They all have excellent eye appeal
Thanks for sharing
I am a new subscriber. Terrific reveals in your channel!
I agree with you. I love the 64 Topps. Crisp, clean and simple. Great cards and grades!
Professional well researched card video. I wish you well on your future collecting endeavors. 10 years ago folks were giving away psa 6s esp from mid 70s baseball. Now they are the quality price conscious alternative to 7/8s. Be proud for what you have. It is a strong collection
Thanks Robert! Appreciate the comments.
Great cards, glad we found your channel. One thing though can’t be Movin that 67 Mick for a 68 McLain lol😂
I love 74 topps! Great Aaron card and thanks for sharing brother!👍
Nice reveal. Thank you for sharing it. Happy Easter.
Nice return! I feel like you did pretty well! An 8 on the 74 Ryan is very impressive! Great stuff!
18:55 Nice Billy Joel card 😱
Man those 71's and 75's are so difficult to find in high grade - just because of the borders (they're pretty chippy, lol) - especially when it comes to star players - because the stars were the ones all the kids kept in their pockets to trade with their friends back when they were just "cards" with little monetary value, lol... So the stars were the first ones to get messed up - so high grade stars from the 60's and 70's - regardless of the set really - are just tough to find in anything above EX to NR-MINT.. Don't get me wrong - there are plenty out there that are certainly in "higher grade" - but if you're talking 9's or 10's - yea it's really difficult... Look, I've been in the hobby for 35 years and when I submit a card I will look for any reason to give it the lowest grade possible - I mean of course I hope for the best - but you really need to prepare yourself for the worst possible grade especially when the individuals grading the cards aren't professionals like us (or at least myself and many others)... So you vet er examine a card that may have issues - but it's much better than other examples but it gets a funky grade - not in comparison to examples of the same card - but because some kid that's been collecting for 3 years, found a job at PSA and is comparing a 71 Topps (for example) to the standard of a modern card.... And look, if they're going to do that - compare cards to 2023 cards - then that's fine, but vintage 10's shouldn't exist then... I mean I have a few vintage 10 slabs and these cards are anything BUT 10's .... I suppose my point is that these grading companies have issues with consistency, and I strongly believe they need to hire legitimate collectors that love the hobby and have at least 10 years of serious experience in the hobby - but they don't - I mean the 18-year old that just gave you your order at McDonalds could apply to PSA and get the job if they collected Pokimon casually for a few years...
Sorry, I'm a bit bitter at the moment with PSA... PSA gave me a 4 on my perfectly centered 79 Topps Ozzie Smith rookie when it's more like an 8 - if not a 9?? Oh, it has a slight surface wax stain - but this card is so utterly rare to find centered that I didn't even want to risk handling the card or using "tights" er "pantyhoes" to rub the wax off the surface because I wanted to keep the card "pack fresh" - which it was - because I pulled it myself.... Now I just wasted money - and I know if I crack the slab and resubmit the card it will get the 8 it deserves, lol.... Watch it comes back a 10... SMH.... If I was grading the card and had the authority - I'd give it a 9 - it's just the wax, that's all..
Anyway, sweet reveal and sweet cards.
Cool video. Love seeing the old cards. Good commentary!
Some nice cards! They graded you a little tough! Interested to know why you got a 3 on the Palmer. Does it have a small crease or a small indentation?
Very nice reveal. I wish some of the grades weren't as far off from your hopes, but the '74 Ryan was a great result! I have only submitted to SGC and overall I feel like it's been a very good experience.
I enjoyed the video Rick. It seems with PSA lately you almost have to estimate your grade one down from what you think it deserves.
I know you said you view the cards with a scanner, does that show the detail of the corners? I use a 10x loupe and it makes my grade estimations much more accurate.
Ok I put a lot of thought on it and we are all pretty much that sxxpid to allow some random people grade our cards don't u think they limited giving out 10 grades because maybe staff or the owners own tons of the cards they give 10 grades to they control the pricing like diamonds pretty much duhhhh
How long you been an optimist ? Asking for a friend.
360p for this video quality is a bummer.
Agreed. Not sure why it compressed down to 360. Need to figure out how to upload it to show in the highest quality form.
